That’s actually why those “lobster” jello molds became so popular 😂 the very suggestive shape gets even worse when you take the food out of the mold! (My sister has the exact same one, we think it’s hilarious 😅)

I was a kid in the 60s and loved going to visit my cousins. My aunt had a small kitchen with copper jello molds on a turquoise wall and curtains with an atomic theme. It’s one of my favorite kitchens ever and seeing copper molds like yours always make me happy. Thanks for a happy start to my day.
Omg my heart! My granny used to have those same decorative baking pans!!! Our family lost them through Hurricane Katrina and relocation. You just brought back some good memories. 😢
You should try and find an island refrigerator and freezer!!!! Those things are neat, its a long square shape the bottom has two drawers that pull out and is the freezer and the top has a door on one side and one on the back and that's the refrigerator. They came in yellow, pink and light green!!!!
Love it, especially the lamp that you can raise up and down on its cord, especially the colors, and certainly the copper jello/dessert molds were a feature shared by grandmas and aunts in the 1950’s. I learned to cook on the NuTone coil-top stove (I thought of it as “Nut One”!)

It’s so relieving to see a realistic vintage kitchen on a budget! So many videos of vintage house makeovers on youtube are beautiful but look like they would have had to spend a lot of money on renovations and furniture and it’s not something that a lot of people are able to do so they might feel like it’s not possible to have a fun retro kitchen. But as you’ve proved in yours you don’t have to!
I do adore all of your appliances!!! I wish I met you when I was young because I would have had the confidence (through you) to do this as well. I was so awkward that when I made a dress or even spoke of making a poodle skirt I was made to think it was foolish so I never did. Now I lived many years since and all the patters are Retro. I'm finding friends all over the Internet like you and I could not be happier.

That built in the counter blender brings backsome VERY fond memories of my gramma's house. Grampa built it whenever he had leave from the army so it took a while. It started as a tiny shed with a very low ceiling and it became, or stayed, the kitchen and he put in a Oster work center in the counter . I thought it was so cool as a kid. I love your kitchen.
What a walk down memory lane. We had a refrigerator like that growing up, an overhead light exactly like that, and a stove like that in our lake house. I remember when you either picked gold or avocado appliances. I would LOVE the Nutone built in. We almost bought a house with one in it in the 60’s. My Daddy could fix anything too.
OMG THE COPPER WALL PIECES!!!!! I swear every black grandma I knew had those, including mine! She handed them down to my mom but once my mom moved to her own house she got rid of it for the chef man theme! Would love to have those again! We also had these vintage large wooden spoon and fork
Very nice. My kitchen was painted what I call Cub Cadet yellow, in the 70s when my grandparents owned it. I still have lots of their 1940s and 50s decor. The house is over 100 years old and has been in my family most of that.
Absolutely love it. I have many vintage items i use on a daily base in my 115 year old home. Im still looking for the GE complete kitchen. It has a wall fridge, washer,drey, stove and dishwasher. I have seen one couple on fb that found one sitting in an old barn and bought it. They fixed everything and now use it.
My mom, born in the thirties, decorated a lot like this, the era of her teens and young adult years. (Just like I want everything to be Memphis School.) Anyway, she had that exact light, from your kitchen ceiling at the end. We had that lamp over the dining room table. Great choice. 😁💖

Love what you’ve done and jealous of the oven! I renovated the kitchen in my 1952 house a few years back with a big nod to the 1950s, complete with flat front cabinets, green linoleum flooring, top mounted sink (the under mount ones get moldy) mint green backsplash and one pink wall. Also didn’t do the gas stove as they are very toxic. The sparkling white quartz countertop I chose looks very similar to the original flooring that was uncovered! Also discovered the kitchen was originally coral pink when we removed some door casings! The choices I made are not the norm in the US right now and I got a lot of pushback but I still love it!
My grandmother had that stove…. I remember it like yesterday…. She passed away when I was 11 (so not as tall as I would get). but looking at you standing next to it makes me realize how short my grandparents actually were! lol!
