Yeah, this anime will make you happy and sad after the end of each game. Happy for the team that win andsad for the one that lose. At the end of the day it is just people that so passionate to volleyball. whether which team win or lose, one side with be happy and the other will have regrets. This anime doesn't have evil villains, just passionate people.

So true! Think we said it at some point but the real main characters here are just volleyball and the people experiencing their youth in it 😭😭

"I dont know who to root for" is such a vibe with this show, this anime feels like a master class at building up characters sometimes ❤

This is the essence of Haikyuu, the ability for the audience to connect to complete strangers through a shared experience. We've been there, we know someone who's been there, and all that puts you back in those moments.
The best part for me about this episode is that when they're thinking about all the things they feel they could've done better, their preparation might have been perfect and they would still feel that regret. You always second guess yourself after the fact, even when in the moment you had really done the best you could.

Perfect explanation of the experience! This episode showed such a relatable scene and we don’t think anyone who has done anything competively couldn’t relate. Those thoughts of regret and wishing you’d done more is the MOST relatable

This is probably the most underrated episode of the whole series. It speaks so well to the beauty of sports, the hope, the despair, joy and sadness, and that despite it all playing is worthwhile.

That's the thing with this show - you almost every time end up liking the opponents as well or at least respect them xD It's so hard to root for one team when You see both sides and thier motivations 😅

I love the concept of this episode.
It's the very first official match for our team and yet the show chooses to switch perspectives to show the matches from the perspective of the losers.
Focus on the mental aspect of winning and losing.
It gives important context on the motivation and passion behind all these characters and sets the stage for what's to come.

Next two episodes are 🔥🔥🔥 I love how perceptive you two are, many people miss the symbolism in this show and small details, like Hinata looking after Ikejiri, bcos he understands the feeling of losing and going home, or him being so overwhelmed that they won, bcos he never experienced that before 💖

We appreciate that! This show is so good when it comes to handling characters like these small moments really show the characters’ emotions and thoughts, and no words even have to be exchanged 😌

I get the need to figure out how they might have broken down the tournament into different seasons. But trust me, you want to avoid thinking too much into this or you’ll end up seeing something and spoiling stuff for yourself.

They've already spoiled themselves about how the whole timeline of the manga (amount of years it takes place in) from their Patreon comments sadly 😐 Idk why they keep asking for info about it
