      @@jamesg8246 ... You can use the sticker shield that Dustin recommended but I dont know how reusable it is for a new inspection sticker. You may have to buy a new sticker shield each time.. And I have seen the sticker shield leave a glue residue behind on the windshield when removed. The other alternative maybe to use a mobile phone screen protector on the windshield, and then stick the inspection sticker to the screen protector. When the time comes, you should be able to pull the inspection sticker off the screen protector and put the new sticker on the screen protector. I am trying this currently.. Haven't reached the point of replacing the inspection sticker yet.

      @@mpcp27 Yeah that's a good idea. The only challenge would be making sure the guy removing and replacing the stickers doesn't just do what they always do out of habit and jump in with a razor scraper and then stick the stickers "just kinda about where they go". They don't use a template or even get them straight many times.

    great vid. does ceramic tint vs charcoal make any colour difference from the inside?

    • @dannysandoval5703
      @dannysandoval5703 4 года назад

      Ceramic is better in every category other than darkness. Charcoal makes the tint darker than ceramic. Ceramic is still pretty dark though if you go low enough. I have 15% on my car all around and its pitch black looking inside of the car from the outside in the daytime. But if im on the inside looking out, it looks somewhat light. Because of that it doesn't affect my vision driving at night. 15% with charcoal is like trying to look through a wall at night especially if you have electronics in the car that are always on and bright

    Question, if I take my car to get tinted and I ask for Ceramic, how do I tell if it’s ceramic or not? I know there’s a lot of shady shops out there so I don’t want to rip off. I don’t want them to pay for Ceramic tint and have them put the cheap tint. Hopefully someone can answer my question. Thank you.

    • @TexasTintMasters

      Unfortunately, one of the only things you can do is to ask them to show you a heat test before and after. If they're properly equipped, they should have the meter you see here or something like it. Use reviews to guide your choice of shop.

      No one answered you because it is illegal. If you get stopped by the Highway Patrol they will give you a fix it ticket to have it removed. They use to let other departments sign off those tickets, but when they found out their homies were deputies or city cops would just sign them and said fuck it leave it on. state troopers now make you come to them after you remove the tint. Think first fine was $225 and increases each time your caught. CHP really don’t care about the sides it’s the windshield that will get you fanged 100%

    Let's try a test out in the Texas sun on a 100 degree day, sun shining with no clouds. Do half the car straight down the middle, front to rear. Let it set a hour outside, windshield facing the sun all windows up. Now put a temp gun on both sides at the same time... let's see what you got.
    My guess is they are exactly the same. I might give you a 5 % difference for errors...

    • @TexasTintMasters
      @TexasTintMasters  3 года назад +2

      & you would be right. Window film is NOT an air conditioning unit, it’s an insulator to help your A/C perform more efficiently.
      Any vehicle sitting in the sun for an hour on 100 degree Fahrenheit weather with all windows up will ALWAYS get hot (reach point of thermal equilibrium).
      Cargo vans have no windows but no one assumes it’s immune to heat. Ceramic film DRASTICALLY slows down the transmission of heat.
      Performing the test you are proposing is the equivalent of rolling the windows down on half of the car and dumping in the ocean to test if only half the car will drown.

    Windscreen laminated glass keeps out all types of UV ray's without any tint

    • @TexasTintMasters
      @TexasTintMasters  6 лет назад +1

      FALSE.
      "Some UV rays can also pass through windows. Typical car, home, and office windows block most UVB rays but a smaller portion of UVA rays, so even if you don’t feel you’re getting burned your skin may still get some damage. Tinted windows help block more UVA rays, but this depends on the type of tinting. (If you do have your car windows tinted, check local laws, as some states regulate this.) UV radiation that comes through windows probably doesn’t pose a great risk to most people unless they spend long periods of time close to a window that gets direct sunlight." -American Cancer Society
