I was surprised that Lola drove so well in the race. I could keep the pace in the Minardi, but there wasn't enough cornering grip to overtake Blundell in the Ligier. Unfortunately, Blundell stopped in front of me and I bumped into him. Repairing the front spoiler cost a lot of time and the rest of the race was like reaching the finish line in last place.
0:50 what a cemetery of front wings at grand hotel hairpin. PS : Lola car in 93 the only one team with no active suspension. They were one year too early
That Lola has nothing tbh I wonder if they had continued into 1994 rather than joining Minardi if the extra year not running eletronic aid would have help at all.
@@adammercer6004 Lola, or more precisely Scuderia Italia, had no money. In fact, I don't think they ever built their own car. They commissioned Dallara and, in his last year, Lola to build a car. They blamed each other for the lack of results, and Ferrari was also very dissatisfied with Lola's results in 1993.
@@FortiSpeed Yeah I remembered that Lola was a customer for a Italian team which had been using Dallara chassis win some success before the ill fated change but I just couldn't quite remember the Scuderia Italia's name. 😅
I don't think that's accurate, as a number of other teams (e.g. Ligier, Sauber, Jordan) also didn't have active suspension. Perhaps the Lola was the only 1993 car not to feature any driver aids at all?
@@useruseruser789 I know that several teams from the 1993 season used manual shifting. Lola, Minardi, Jordan, Lotus definitely had manual transmissions. It's possible that the Tyrrell also had a manual gearbox. If Lola survived, its pace would probably be similar to Simtek from 1994.
Alboreto had already semi wasted his chance at this point but man I felt bad for badoer. Won 3000 against Barrichello and DC and only got a lola forti and minardi deals for it. And then gets laughed at after an impossible mission in that Ferrari. People conveniently forget that fisi was almost as garbage in that car
@@purwantiallan5089 agreed. I doubt that salo de ceasaris or especially post cancer Katayama would have done any better than him. Although the 93 Tyrrell was garbage as well and wasted a pretty decent lineup. Maybe badoer Katayama at 94 would have worked
One day there will definitely be a 1991 season. But in the voting between 1992 and 1996, the majority chose 1996, so I will soon start preparing for the 1996 season

Its should've been a top 10 finish if you don't collided with Blundell.
The sound of that 1993 LOLA F1 car from Michele Alboreto is so fantastic!

Will someone message me how I get these mods I have no idea but would absolutely love to have a go
Whats your discord?
Well getting mods for F1 Challenge 1999-02 can be very hard.

Badoer in 1993 or 1995 should've been driving for Tyrell and not Minardi.
