Difficult question, in my personal opinion, more people choose the elements of fire and wind than those of earth and water.
The most common bonus that appears the most times is the earth bonus.
There are few places with water, so it is rare to get bonuses.
Maybe the spell, Molten Blade (fire support, increases weapon damage) or Haste (wind support, increases movement range and speed).
Anyway, the advice I leave you, weapons, spell and character element that match to increase their power.
