- On a recent morning, I met up with Rob and Lewis at the first skatepark in North Texas built after the year 2000! The Edge Skatepark in Allen, TX, was opened in 2005 and while there may be better parks around now, this one is still a lot of fun, even for a few old guys just having fun - because when you're skating, isn't it supposed to be fun???
Hope everyone out there has a great crew to get together and have fun with!

Ceremonial Advil for all! Great seeing a fellow goofy-foot geezer out there, and your pal Rob has some freaking smooooth surf style. Cheers!
Haha! Gotta get that bulk Advil from Costco! Rob is awesome and a good guy too! Goofy footed forever! What are you riding?
@@GeezerSkateCo Welcome 8.8" shaped - it's fast and light and fun, but it's really a 9" popsicle. I'm digging that Scram shape of yours; what's the width?
Oh yeah! Dig those Welcome boards - such great shapes! The Scram I’m riding here is 10”. Really like that size!
Just threw some G-Bones on an old pool deck I converted into a surfskate. Love them. Keep hitting it and live the dream fellas!
Heck yeah! That’s awesome! G-Bones rock! What’s your old pool deck?
@@GeezerSkateCo i got a 7ply blank Dogtown Bigfoot shape. Bought it in the 90s. Massive and mental. I throw a surf skate truck on the front sometimes and carve.

New old man skater here.
Allen is a nice park
Whats your origin spot? Here in area?
Welcome to the club! Are you in the metroplex? If so, where do you like to go? My origin spot is in Wills Point, a small town in East Texas where we learned to skate behind the schools and banks. Otherwise, I was well into adulthood before I skated my first park - Allen. It’s a fun park, but these days, my favorite is Jon Comer Memorial park in Garland.
