Challenging myself in cross tunings.
nice inflection all the way think this is one of your best efforts pleas don't stop the mandolin covers I love them
Mr Richter my favorite mandolin player good too see you play the jimmy Hendrix song watchtower
I’ll see if i can make that happen! Thanks!
Got shuffled over onto this from the Over the Waterfall you did, left a note for you there, and still have my zouk in my lap. This is terrific to play along with -- you've covered rhythm and melody at once, so I can play either one and it sounds cool! Thanks for posting! -- Scott
Very nice version..good speed..good mix of melody and chords and played with Spirit
Thanks
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks.
mmmmm, i love what you have done with the a part (and the b part for that matter). sounds really great. thanks.
That is beautiful and wonderful interpretation of a classic song! Thanks!
Outstanding as usual!
Great sound
Like the composition. Totally unique.
Sounds great! You've got a really solid sense of rhythm.
Sounds great! Good job!
Very unique and interesting version!
Thanks for your input Sir. I am well into the process of building my double-neck called Mandoguita and the scale lenght is 14". I cheated a tad by adding 1/16 to the neck width and a 12" radius. Lots of work to do before I string her but I consider it is about 70% complete so far. I will eventually publish something about its making and playing. Cheers and please keep them coming.
awesome job! way to show that mando who the boss is!
That's great Jim, kind of a gypsy feel to it.
What a great grove man.. the octave sounds great, but your pickin is very nice!
WOW. Jim this is a awesome version of the song. I would love to learn to play this version. do you hvae TAB's for it?
amazing
Very nice Jim! I have just disovered the beauty of the mandolin and wants to build a double-neck guitar with a mando neck. The mando that was lended to me is so small, and cheap, and, hard to play, but I love that little thing. What is the scale lenght on that one you are using? I would love to build something a tad wider and longer than standard, that would still remain a mandoline. Have you got a suggestion for me? Cheers. Gilles
Sounds great. Few string, old time or Bluegrass are plowing entirely new ground. This has a great sound as is another interpretation eh ?
Sounds great.
Awesome
That was beautiful!!!! I love it!
if you don't mind me asking, what is the availability of octave mandolins? and the price point?
Hi Jim- Do you have a pick up for this instrument? If so, what kind, and do you like it?
Appreciate it. Why cover old ground that someone has done better? To me, the final word on Whiskey Before Breakfast is Norman Blake. Why not try to find a treatment that reflects me and pays homage to the original fiddle tune?
love the over-alls! LOL
its like a Led Zepplen version its cool keep posting please
I want overalls.
Algorithm's doing well these days
Like the tone of the mando, the setting however I do not. Norman Blake does a great version. IMHO good playing just not my taste.
