As John points out, the demo instrument is on the short side of octave mandolins at 19" scale length, but that's still long for a mandola which are typically around 16"-17" scale length. (And yes as mentioned in another comment, mandola standard tuning would be CGDA a 5th below standard mandolin tuning.)
This is a beautiful instrument, and the sound is amazing.
I wonder if these will every end up with any dealers. I have yet to see one online.

What is the difference to a mandola?
A mandola is tuned CGDA, a few steps lower than a mandolin. An octave mandolin is tuned GDAE, a whole octave lower than a mandolin.
