Jesus, looking at the conditions those planes are in, I'm surprised some of them were still able to fly at all.
Whenever I see a plane without a vertical stabilizer flying, I think Ooooh! Crabby landing!
It would be nice to have some naval missions in the pacific, sinking some aircraft carriers...

That B-17 landing is like the one in Memphis Belle but it didn't blow up.
Fishyyy does a better job landing a half-destroyed bomber than I do landing an untouched fighter.

Welcome to the USAAF where landing heavily damaged bombers is the norm.

I've often wondered- are these the tail end of whole missions you guys have flown on your days off, or are they specifically set up to begin near the airfield with already damaged bombers?
The latter. I spawn next to an airfield and get shot by some fighters and/or flak. Three quarters of the time I get shot down, but sometimes some neat damage happens and I can try to land.
I wish we could fly on our days off, but I simply don't have the time or resources to do so. Making full bomber missions still takes a lot of time. I am currently also working on a B-25 & P-47 New Guinea video and it's a lot of work again.
@@Fishyyy I see. Best of luck for the Pacific mission. Out of interest does Ypack have a Lockheed Hudson in it? Would be cool to see some Australian Pacific action, shooting up convoys, low level anti-shipping, bombing airfields etc
There for sure is some Australian action coming. We got a bunch of new Aussies in the Crew :)

We use a modpack called Ypack. It features a lof more flyable aircraft then vanilla. Check the video description for more information :)

That's what I really love about this game is how realistic it is bombers on real life did take heavy damage like that and get its men home and why do you think women weren't allowed to fight in world war 2? For one they are weak for two could you imagine the men trying to do their fucking jobs and having to listen to women bitch and complain it would make the men go insane and they'd miss their targets
