The set is amazing in this production, reminds of that for The Rake’s Progress

I speak Russian but I do not hear the Russian language or anything even similar to Slavic language. Isn't this play suppose to be in Russian language?

Yes, it’s in Russian. It’s more clear when you are watching it live.

At this time, culture was widespread in Russia - please, all Russians: come back!

Nice trailer bu the production in reality is absolutely horrifying.

I’d argue and say in reality it’s absolutely mesmerizing.

@@Dvorak567 What can I say, some like pornhub. Of course, they will like the disgusting action that Met Opera put together instead of Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth.

More like adult rated production, with operatic singing and music, similar to opera. Left after 1 hour. Opera is not the best composition of Shostakovich, largely compensated by large number of artists, bugger, car, lift, etc. Distorted perception of russian culture. I doubt Shostakovich portrayed Katerina in this way...

Yes I agree, because Katarina Ismailova was definitely a real person of the 1800s and should only be portrayed realistically!
