- Dave shows us his salvaged 101 that was past saving but Dave is doing a very brave undertaking bringing this piece of Land Rover history back to life. Its a bit of a Frankenstein but it's his creation and a vehicle that otherwise would have dissolved into rusty dust. It's a Forward Control, often referred to as a COE, Cab Over Engine.
What a fabulous truck ! And I have to admit to experiencing some serious workshop envy…very civilised with the table lamp and single malt 👌🏼

I used to own a one tonne. With knocked winch , I spent two weeks stripping paint of it , luckily got some IRR olive drab paint , amazing stuff , covered in one application with a brush , it leaves no brush marks , great truck and miss it a lot , look after that one as you’ve done a great job 👍😉

Hi i asked about the palm tree some say its for middle eastern land forces was used in the sixtys in Aden and sharjah or was used by 2 field sqn RE hope this helps
