The beautifully restored showroom condition old Landies are gorgeous but I’d never really want to own one. I’d be terrified to drive it!!! On my 1974 S3 in Marine Blue and Sandstone I like it looking a bit scruffy and workmanlike as all Landies should. Under the bonnet and beneath the body everything is ship shape, oiled and cared for but above the waterline I consider its scuffs and marks as badges of honour that show it still does its daily graft.
Man, well put. Mine's a '71 88" 2a which I've been enjoying for the last 43 years. I cherish every scratch, ding, and boo-boo and have stories for each one. Cheers from Alaska ✌️
Fantastic buddy! Very flattering. Really enjoyed watching. Good work bud thanks for coming down and taking the time. The other vid we filmed is out two weeks today.
Arr glad you enjoyed it mate! I always worry about the first time the owner/feature person sees it! 😂 Ya I really look forward for to seeing that mate! 😎👍
😂 bit or fun ey! Loz has a bonkers mind for this stuff. This was pretty straight forward stuff compared to some mental things he’s done: but what a wicked project, he’s created such a fantastic car here and I’m always in ore if his knowledge of all things automotive! Thanks as always dude for checking out this episode! 🙏
There is a nut behind the dust cover on the driver side, on the side of the steering housing tighten that up while someone turns the wheel left and right, that will tighten the steering and gets rid of all play
@@MrPieterruysch that’s some fantastic knowledge! … unfortunalty this car has since been sold but the owner 🤦♂️ hopefully the new owner has seen this or has someone with such good insight! 👍 thanks for checking out the video tho dude!
@@dizzy_cap_car_show I think his effort with the Landrover will inspire me and others to undertake such a project . It’s interesting to see the real economics reflected in his video which gives us an idea of what we’re getting into 🤣
Thanks dude! 😎👍 was a good day out with Loz and he has done such a wicked job on that landy! Capri is feeling good man! Hopefully have an “out and about” episode done really soon! 😎

What you are describing is exactly the type of Landy that I would like to own, if I ever had the chance to own another one.......

Agreed! Best state for a landy to be in! Why this build was so good I think!

Never would have occurred to me to use the hood of a car as a workbench, even with a cloth or whatever that is. 😧
😂 I know right! The things we do ey!
