I buyed the soundtrack from back to the future in 1989… and I must say that I did not care much for “Power of love”… “Johnny B Goode” is the real treasure in this album.
It's not him singing, it's actually an assistant that helped on the movie, the guy (I forgot his name) had a good voice so they wanted him to do Marty's singing voice. It wasn't Michael J Fox that sung.
He can act, proven by the fact that he didn't actually play guitar, nor sing in this film. He learned a few cords on guitar to make it look authentic, however.
