A video like this for all your kits would be awesome. A great way to sell kits and a great way for viewers to get a sense of the final product vs time lapse build videos which don’t really show features or it in use. Narration was awesome.
We got a good look at one of these that was on its maiden voyage. It was built by an east coast couple in their mid-70's, beautiful workmanship, they couldn't have been more pleased with it. We were at Canyon Lands during a spring snow storm and they were warm and cozy.
As a long time fan of tiny homes and even smaller campers like the Scamp, I must say that your teardrop camper is the most beautiful one I've seen yet. While I don't want to build my own anything, I think it's a fantastic idea and you all have done a fabulous job. :-)
May i say that this is not a teardrop camper but a piece of art ,it need's to have its own place in an art gallery. Beautiful craftsmanship , still craftsman out there that can do beautiful woodwork . U can build gondolas and ship them to Italy
My boyfriend and I are planning on cross country-ing with a teardrop trailer for our honeymoon. This is beautiful and perfect for our needs as well as the fact we don't have the largest cars. I will be looking into purchasing a kit from you, especially since we live 15 minutes from your company in Annapolis. Maybe we will stop by for a visit :)
Best quote lol re. watching videos... "if you must" lol - of course! leave it to boat builders to make a camper that is warm and dry, watertight, with ventilation. Like straight outta the 'Warm Dry Boat' book. :) I wonder what the weight is for towing.... really beautiful camper well done 👍
After building 2 teardrops, both on custom shop built frames, I can speak with experience when I say you have built an awesome body kit here! However the overall look is seriously brought down by the funky trailer frame you have perched it on top of. You might want to work on something that integrates into a more cohesive design package to produce a final product more fitting to the high quality woodwork!. Still a very cool kit!
I don't disagree, really, and would encourage anyone with sophisticated skills to beautify the trailer frame to suit. But remember that the target audience includes many beginners. If you want an affordable plug-and-play trailer option for simplicity's sake, this is what you end up with. -JCH
This has to be by far the most beautiful design I've seen of a teardrop yet. My father and I have been looking into building one for a bit and you guys have made it even easier with the kit. We have already bought the manual. I did have one designed question. How much hight is there in the foot cubby. I was just wondering with an air mattress will I just keep kicking the top?
Beautiful camper, just wondering if the storagebox should be more integrated into the total design, creating an even better flow and more storage space. Same for the solar panel, integrate it into door of the kitchen to one can turn it into the sun when not cooking.
I wonder what it would take to install a propex heater in one of these. I've seen other commercial teardrops with it installed but I love the lines and look of this and I love the idea of being hands one with the building experience
Someday this will be us! Suggestions for how to make this work with two kids? "loft" option? Bring a tent for them? A teardrop tandem trailer? Ha ha. Serious about the question but maybe not all my suggestions...
A Teardrop Camper falls closer on the camping spectrum to a tent (a really, really nice tent) than it does to the Winnebago end of the scale. You could pack a large and comfortable tent for the kids. Set up a little portable compound, with the Teardrop as the kitchen and "master stateroom."
Thinking I'm going to use the same way you do this to make a truck cap. I need something pretty, strong, and that will work with my design. Something I can use to camp in and sleep in.
Very cool. But I don't understand why you put the big red battery switch, in the nice consol. And not in the trunk, or somewhere not so blah. I know someone could put it wherever DIY. But as soon as I saw it, it's all I could think about the rest of the video. Don't worry, I'll be ok. Nice camper!
As shown in the photos, fully outfitted, the CLC Teadrop Camper is about 550 pounds. Kits start at $2000. If you check every single options box you end up at about $5000. Completed examples are selling for between $15,000 and $20,000.
It’s AMAZING!,! I would love this in the U.K.! What was the lining on the inside?. Please could you let me know! I’m in love with this. Thank you maybe I could ship one? ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Teardrop resides in our showroom except when on display at shows. (Check the Teardrop's web page before you visit; we'll make a note if it's away.)

Seen two of these at a tiny house show in Atlanta. The video does not do them justice, so nice they stood out above everything at the show.
Beautiful! Impressive design, simple and light. One of the nest I've seen.
wow! very fine design ...extremely well thought out...streamlined..😊
and very beautiful! good job
I think that is one of the most beautiful campers ever. It would be neat to tow it behind my Smart Fortwo.
I love everything about this teardrop. I wish I could purchase one completely finished & ready to camp.
I think they have a class where one builds it at their factory with them helping?

Very nice addition to your boats. The camera work was terrific.

Best looking teardrop I've seen. It's about time someone took care of the boxy corners. :)
I have just began building a TD from scratch, I really like these and will need to investigate.
That's a masterpiece really. Top high quality.
I got to make one of these with my Dad, he's a carpenter and I really want to do something like this with him.
Lovely little teardrop camper.

Absolutely gorgeous unit!
this is beautiful! what a work of art.
Nice, my Chesapeake 17LT would look good traveling on this.

Cool little camper.
I want one! That is so beautiful and well thought out :-)
this is just what I've been looking for!!!...let's see this price
Really love this. My dream is a future purchase.
Love this!
I'm impressed. I may well see about building one.
Great little camper.
Do you have a listing of customers who have built but are now selling their trailers?
Nice, next up a truck cap/camper? Or would this teardrop rig drop into a truck bed as is?
I wonder what it would take to install a propex heater in one of these. I've seen other commercial teardrops with it installed but I love the lines and look of this and I love the idea of being hands one with the building experience
great concept love the look
very cool :0 would love to build one
Stunning design.
Beautiful wood work, but I think being able to cover the trailer frame would be huge upgrade. Maybe have a skirt as an option.
It's very affordable too! I'm saving for one already!
Beautiful!
gorgeous
Beautiful
What is the cost to purchase a complete one from you?

These are fantastic!!!
Thanks a bunch for sharing. 💚
Very very nice indeed!
After building 5 of your kayak designs maybe it's time for this project?
Cheers
BB
That's cool as hell!
That's a sharp teardrop!
I'd love to tow that with my 63 Beetle. Wow.
can this be purchased built?
Thinking I'm going to use the same way you do this to make a truck cap. I need something pretty, strong, and that will work with my design. Something I can use to camp in and sleep in.
That looks so wicked!

Do you have a list of compatible trailers aside from the Trailex?
Great design.
just like my blow boat. LOl VERY VERY nice,Thanks :)
Hi how much is the weight,How much does it cost? Very nice I'm in N.J. 😥but I like my wife and I to get out of our state for camping

You can get kits from our UK agents, Fyne Boat Kits: www.fyneboatkits.co.uk/kits/other/teardrop-camper/
Very nice.
Very Nice Thank You =Cosmo
Wow,nice
.... How'd you get the mattress in?
Looking for specs on the website about weight, tongue weight, over all dimensions, etc..... Looking to pull behind motorcycle.....
Pretty cool . :)
I want one. Can u ship to Australia?
Awesome! -
That finish look amazing! How did you do it?
That's an acrylic clear coat sprayed by a body shop.
Ah a body shop. I was wondering how it would you got that perfect finish. Would love to build one, I just don´t need one and already have a kayak : D
if you go the clear coat route, do you still have to varnish or is it epoxy, final sanding and then clear coat?
Does the acrylic coat supply VU protection for the fiber glass ?
nice work. can you point me to that minicell foam and where to buy it? thank you!
What do you think of the efficacy of mounting the shell onto a custom trike conversion frame of a motorcycle?
Hmmm. That could be complex, and with results I can't readily predict.
Can this be used as a roof mount?
international shipment ? looks great
I can't find anything showing how much it weighs. I'm looking for either a small camper or a pop up for use with my Victory CCT motorcycle.
With the trailer and typical outfitting, the CLC Teardrop weighs about 550lbs.
Do you know how much this weighs when finished, trailer included? I didn’t see that info on your website. Thanks for sharing.
As shown in this video, fully fitted out, the weight is about 550lbs including the trailer.
AWESOME!!!!
Great Idle.
I like it, a lot.
This is so awesome! Does anyone have a how to video how to build this?
I have to build one of these
Very cool.
Love it. Was wondering if a miniaturized version of this could be made for a homeless person on a bike.
Like it I recon you could tow it with a large touring motorcycle
so nice
Have you weighed that exact setup including gear?
It's about 550lbs with 12-inch wheels.
Chesapeake Light Craft i
love it
beautyfull
If you have built one of these teardrop, i would love your input...
now it needs attachable pontoons to make a little houseboat or fishing boat - camper.
I live nearby. Is it in your showroom? I would like too see it up close.
The Teardrop resides in our showroom except when on display at shows. (Check the Teardrop's web page before you visit; we'll make a note if it's away.)
It would be fine it is was allready built for you.
