    This fox series is awesome. About to do my pump to a 255lph to compensate for an e303 and 24lb injectors with full GT40 setup

      There’s a video on here about the wiring upgrade you should do as well. Thanks for watching!

      @tecmotiondyno ,,, like , the Mark VII ,,, my '91 has only 10 pounds pressure . How to tell if pump or regulator ,,, ? ,,, Couple hints : holds the 10 pounds overnight , no fuel leaking to vacuum in the regulator , also the pump runs for the standard 4 seconds , but only reaches 10 pounds and sits there . Of course she don't start or barely runs ,,, ?

    A transmission jack works beautifully for dropping the tank 🤙🏼

      If it is a low one like an attachment for a floor jack it will work well. I have used a floor jack with a block of wood too, but the narrower the platform under the tank, the harder it is for one guy to handle by himself. The key is to get something under it that you can hold the tank on in a stable way and control the ascent and descent with.

    I just put a stealth 340 in my 1995 tonight. Super quiet. Hopefully it holds pressure with my 331 vortech combo with heads cam intake. Hoping to make 500whp~ also ran a 10awg from battery

      @@tecmotiondynowhat Air fuel ratio is safe for these supercharged builds? I was targeting 12.6:1-12.8:1 WOT then taper-down to 11.3:1 at full boost (8-10 psi)

      Glad to be of help. I sometimes wonder if it is worthwhile filming these jobs because filming them tends to get a little in the way of actually doing the job, so it is nice to get some positive feedback!

    When should you upgrade the venting system on the fuel tank ? Or is the factory vent sufficient at all power levels. ?

    • @tecmotiondyno
      @tecmotiondyno  Год назад +1

      Most of the time it is good enough. A lot of wilder cars have a canister delete and that line is left wide open or uses a small filter on the end. The biggest problems occur when the vent line is pinched. A typical symptom of a plugged or pinched vent line is a vacuum “whoosh” when you open the gas cap. In truth, a lot of these cars have a poor seal around the filler neck too which tends to reduce venting problems unintentionally.

    Hi! You install this 340 fuel pump on stock mustang ? My fuel pump is broken and I see this pump for sale and I would upgrade the fuel pump because I'm N/A but this is my plan to add s/c or turbo kit 🙂. The return fuel line is enough big for return the fuel in the tank that the motor can't take.Thanks for the answer. 🙂

      The car was stock when I put it in, but it was part of a major power upgrade. The stock lines and rails are sufficient to work with the pump. The 340 is way overkill for this heads/cam/intake setup, but a good 255 lph pump was not available and you would way sooner have more fuel than less. If you plan on forced induction, especially with heads/cam/intake, the aeromotive stealth 340 is generally a good choice.

    Is that pretty blue fox your car Matthew?

    • @tecmotiondyno
      @tecmotiondyno  2 года назад +2

      No, it’s a customer car. Seems like it was a lot harder than it should have been to get heads for it, but I have a set here now so things are finally starting to move along.

      This is great content . Anyone who has dropped a gas tank in their garage. Knows how tidiest and frustrating it can be. Great work Mathew . Thanks for sharing the entire process. Lots of great tidbits here !
