Theoden was a very good king

Your Grandfather was Strong in Life, I'm sure his spirit will find its way to the Golden Halls of your forfathers. Many would be the white flowering Simbelmyne.growing upon his mound if he were interred beside the Kings of The Mark, Much like Theoden the Redeemed King.
He sounds like a great guy
Theoden is in my top 3 favorite characters, easily. Bernard Hill’s portrayal is probably a large reason, but I also appreciate how he is a mirror image of Denethor in being a king that falls into gloom and doubt, but pulls himself out of that darkness (with the help of friends and family) and has one of the most heroic endings by coming to the aid of his Allies and helping save the world.
As a result, I knew the first sword I would ever want was Herugrim; and I re-enact him unsheathing his sword every time I sit down for the extended editions. Forth Eorlingas!!

He has one of the best redemption stories and is proven a true ally. I think he made a good example for Aragorn in what makes a good king a great king 👑

My grandfather passed away a few years back and was the wisest man I knew. I miss his unmatched wisdom. May both our gradfathers find thier way into the arms of the lord.

Theoden is probably my favorite character from the Lord of the Rings. He's got a real arc and as someone who primarily locks in on stories for their characters that really made me appreciate him as a character.
Théoden is my all time favorite character. His story is tragic but full of strength and honour

I really love Theodin, he's one of my favorite Tolkien characters because of how he manages to become a hero again even after experiencing so much loss. With how crazy and bleak the world feels some days it really makes you feel like giving up. However; Theodin shows us how to perservere in the face of certain doom. I honestly needed this, thank you!

My heart is heavy for the loss of your Grandfather but take heart that his path is one that we all must take, and he now travels beyond white shores, to a far green country under a swift sunrise.
Theoden Ednew was not only a great king of Rohan, he was one of the greatest men of the Third Age, who lost much but was never defeated, his will was set and only death could break it.
Theoden is one of my favorite characters. A man of profound strength, nobility, honor, grace, and courage. Most men could not do at 20 what he did at 70. A great man indeed.

I never got to meet either of my Grandfathers Mellon, since they died before I was born...My Grandmother (whom pasted 3 years ago) was my first loss of a grandparent that impacted me. I hope your grandfather had life worth remembering, and I you do well this week Mellon!

Theoden is easily one of the most inspiring of Tolkien’s 800+ characters. His story of redemption in many ways mirrors the Hero’s Journey as epitomized by Frodo and Sam.
Your grandfather give you a mighty gift, passing on his love of all things Ea. Thank you for sharing it with us through your videos.
Theoden really highlights Tolkien's love of Anglo Saxon legends, with a valiant life and fall comparable to that of Beowulf.

The description of Theoden at Pelennor fields is, to me, one of the best pieces of Tolkien’s writing. “Fay he seemed, or else the fury of his fathers was upon him…” goosebumps.
I too recently lost my grandfather. He too, was in darkness but towards the end of his life he made amends. While I mourn his lost, there is comfort in that. Thank you for this video
Théoden’s story is so powerful. It reminds me of rallying to fight mental illness. He inspired me, once I realized our stories were so similar. With the help of friends and family and with your own strength and the strength of your beliefs, (and a healthy dose of horse snuggles, because it helped me and I know it had to have helped him!) you can conquer anything.
If you are struggling, know that one day, you *will* breathe the free air again, and be renewed. Théoden was, and so was I. There is always hope.❤🐴

I read all three of the Lord of the Rings books this year. Theoden was one of my favorite characters, and enjoyed seeing how even the elves paid tribute to him after he died.

When we sit in peace with our pipes lets us all think of him and not forget. the lessons he taught us though bittersweet it may be.
Theoden was a good king and dear father. He lived a full life with no small amount of sorrows and hardships
Though he faltered under the weight. When the time came Theoden kept all that he had sworn. After all his deads he was able to rest in peace.

I have to admit, I have only seen the movies, but out of ALL the characters therein, I MOST admired Theoden King. As portrayed, I considered him a truly brave, noble, admirable and great man. I would have been honored to call him my King and ride with him into battle.
Theoden was such an amazing character, and (Apart from Haldir) in the films was the most tragic death.

Theoden was my favorite character. He had the best speeches and his charge on the pelenor choked me up, especially how he sagged in his saddle thinking he was to late till the echo of grond destroyed the gate of minas tirith. Also how he treated merry with such kindness and respect
