I probably worked on that aircraft as I was employed by McDonald Douglas has a flight ramp mechanic from 1985 to 2002 when I was transferred to the C-17 program I worked on all series of MD80s,MD90,MD11,717
Because the pilots didn't watch their instruments which mostly leading to failure. Or they rush over the checklist is a big mistake. Too much watching NSTB lol
Thank you for this nice video....I like this old plane...in the 80s and early 90s I often have gone with it from Frankfurt to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo...good memories :)
Great job! Thank you for the subtitles for the ATC communications; regardless of where the airline is located, it can be really hard to hear exactly what the pilots and ATC are saying.
Waaw... Waaw ... Awesome Robin! I must say that i am so proud as have so a fantastic and great sister son as you are Robin! Hugs from Malin!!!

Means 8000ft. In the US transition level is always FL180, not in Europe. Depending on the QNH and transition altitude at different airports it can be almost any altitude but it's usually around 4000-8500ft. During this takeoff we had a transition level at 55 so everything over 5500ft is "flightlevel".
Best aircraft , ever !
Brilliant video! Nice shots! Well done :)
Great video, nice view ;)
Woow amazing video Robin!! Great filming work!! how is it possible for you to go in the cockpit? :) Well done, big like! :)

That looks like a old plane
It is, as far as I know. I had to fly on it last summer, was an ok flight. It even had in-flight WiFi!

It looks so modern comparing with others MD82 I had seen before.
Short taxi, take off almost instantly. Bet it was another rocket launch MD-80 style

Nice video, how did you got into the cockpit?
4:58 Wrong translation. It's "Can we have A12"... as in intersection departure...
Franz Josef Strauß.
The cockpit is really bad..Looks like very complicated
it's accually very basic and easy to understand, most systems just needs to be on auto.
snyggt filmat!

FL65 it must be a space rocket
Sounds more like a tractor than a plane. Surprised at the lack of jet "whine"
Engines are at the back, a few pilots I know say it's so quiet up front, it almost feels like a glider!
Awsome! När var du där? :)
lucky guy!!!
FL 80?

``Ascend and mantain FL 80 , and beware of the trees ...``
Good video!! What does it mean the alarm that sounds at 0:28 minute?
Its the altitude alerter. They were obviously having trouble setting it correctly for the departure altitude, lol
Joe Patroni Thanks!!!
Diego Germán Telesa no !, thats the elevator trim motion !!!, they are setting it for takeoff.
Thanks!!
flight 1666. wtf! 666? damm!
bigtaxrefund Well there’s a Flight 666 on Friday 13th and it’s going to HEL. AY666 to be more exact
