That 3rd floor/storey is a carpenter's dream find! If those walls could speak-the stories they'd be telling people about the history of that space! Doug
I respect you to the fullest for the way you help people and especially the people who are down and out and their backs are against the wall. You truly have a good heart and this cruel world need many more of you. Bless you ! 👽

that was the coolest thing watching Damon freak over the third story. my first reaction to the third floor being boarded up was that's where they kept the crazy relative.
OK, that ending freaked me out. Like, those blades were SPINNING by the sounds that thing was making and unless it was like a hurricane outside, I can't believe a small gust of wind could make the fan create the noise it did...
Question : were did they find a latter that long ?? Looks a latter you find on a fire truck . You don't see latters that long in home improvement stores .
We thought it had been rented out because one of our neighbours told us that his aunt had once owned the house and he thought she had rented out the 3rd storey. No, we didn't think someone was up there...the Holmes Crew? Well, that's another story! ;)
It's odd that the homeowners said that the attic was rented out. The team finds out that it has been sealed since the mid to later 60's. How would they think that someone rented out the attic? Maybe because they thought someone was up there.
so was the wind blowing?? If it was blowing just right it will make the fan sound like it came on as the blades go backwards from the wind. The average size of people is way smaller 100 years ago and they did use space with stairs and it made for a stronger support being smaller.
Seen them peering into the window *carefully looking for the child’s rocking chair and and old wooden wheelchair starts to move on its own accord* meanwhile Cherie and junior are wetting themselves while watching a spy am in the room at pops Holmes trying to get away quickly as they possibly can! Holmes junior puts down the RC controller for the rigged chair. Well that’s what happens when you take to much painkillers! Great show as per usual but whenever are us brits going to get the opportunity of watching them?
If that noise was the fan motor, that was not a draft spinning it, it sounded like it was under power. Unless that was a drill or impact driver I was hearing?
That would liven things up abit ! Finding a dead body up there ! Also put a delay in the reno project ; unless you just stuffed the body inthe floor or wall and coverd it over !
I keep hoping that some of the houses in some of the neighborhoods here in the gateway to the north will stop housing well only pigeons, crows, mice, etc. While maybe all the lawyer in town are getting rich by arguing with one another about who gets what here.

love the show but one thing that really bothers me is how he comes in and does amazing repairs that cost more than the house. Worst still is when he hates on the previous contractor for doing it cheap when the client is only willing to pay so much.
Bryan Garey well clearly you dont want to do things wrong. but if the client only has say 5k to do a room that needs 30k worth of repairs you just cant fix everything. house.
You can tell the difference between someone who just watches the show and a fan of the show. He's made it clear on multiple occasions that minimum code isn't good enough, if you pay someone $10,000 to do a job and they pocket $6,000 by barely doing whats needed instead of making sure its done right then Mike has to come on to fix it then he has every right to say what he does.

that was the coolest thing watching Damon freak over the third story. my first reaction to the third floor being boarded up was that's where they kept the crazy relative.
that may actually be the story - at the turn of the century, families who had children that were severely disabled often kept them in attic rooms.
OK, that ending freaked me out. Like, those blades were SPINNING by the sounds that thing was making and unless it was like a hurricane outside, I can't believe a small gust of wind could make the fan create the noise it did...
Toronto Maple Leafer exactly!!
i am thinkinh mike may of played trick on them
That is why the 3rd floor was blocked off. They were having issues with unexplained things happening.

7:12 If the other window was open it was creating a draft or if it was pulling air from below.

I think they added that sound to make it more mysterious

Very weird and scared ghost
What kind of stupid does a person have to be to not know they bought a 3 story house?
