On trans lines alot of times ill use the porcelain end of an old spark plug in each line. Usually a snug fit and holds tight because of the ribs in the porcelain.
The radiator fails and allows the cooling fluid to mix with the tranny fluid, hence the pinkish coolant and the brown tranny fluid. I guess its a common failure for these models. Its best to flush the transmission fluid to rid it of coolant that has leaked. I know mine has mixed cause my overflow is pink!!!!

Tundras use the pink/red coolant. I know I'm late with this.
