- Could turn ac on but not blowing. Easy video on how to replace blower resistor and motor with 1 screw driver and in about 10min.
Remove glove box, pop bottom panel off to gain motor access. Disconnect cables to motor and resistor. Remove hose from motor, it should just pull off with little effort. Unscrew motor and resistor. Screw new motor and resistor in. Connect hose to motor. Connect cables to motor and resistor. Turn on car and test AC.
Thanks for watching! Приколы
CHANGE THE $30 RESISTOR 1ST. NEED SHORT PHILIPS SCREW DRIVER. MY RESISTOR WAS RUSTED FROM SOMETHING….
You saved me $400 !!!!!
Thank you soooooo much!!I just finished it.I had a little trouble getting it in until I removed some of the floor padding.I recommend a small ratchet screwdriver cause those screws are in a tight spot.
Thanks again and God bless!!
Lucky bastard! That's easiest blower I've ever seen to acess!
Thank you. You a great job explaining this issue. I appreciate the time and money you saved me.
My blower motor was making horrible noise on higher speeds. Then it completely stopped working. Took it out, disassembled it and found the copper bearing damaged, probably due to bumpy rides and the fact that the motor is positioned horizontally. Replaced the copper bearing with one from a scrapped motor, motor fixed for free. Also the resistor unit was not working. Replaced a 140°C thermal resistor inside, sourced one from a scrapped microwave owen. A couple of hours job, saved 170 bucks.
This actually worked for my car. I was going crazy trying to figure out what was wrong. Everything under the hood seemed to be working properly. And there was no airflow, but I could feel that there was coolant in the system (and by that I mean when I put my hand on the vents I could feel the coldness lol -not air). So I thought it was my blower resister. But it wasn’t. It was in fact my blower motor. Thanks a bunch!
thank you for posting i'm doing mine this week!
Awesome video… My car start doing the same thing yesterday. I’ll be replacing my parts on Saturday.
I have jeep grand cherokee and this was exactly what I needed, simple instructions and not having to pay for something I can do myself. I figure I can at least try, lol. if I screw it up I figure it's not working anyway, how much damage can I do, lol😊
Thank you for making this video!
Just saved me so much money!! Thank you!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for posting this!!
Thanks for the info . 👍 .
Thank you for sharing!
thank you i really appreciate this tutorial; and i will let you know how it goes on my repairs
Nice thanks for the video
Thank you for posting
Bro, thanks a million. Just worked and its about to get hot here....
THANK YOU!!🙏
Good simple video.
Great video. Simple and to the point.
My 2010 Kia Rio blower motor stopped working.
5 days later it was on. Then stopped again. 🤔
I watched this video.
Opened and then slammed shut the glove 🧤 box.
It’s blowing strong and cold. 🥶
I realize this means motor will probably go soon.
But now I know it’s an easy fix. 😎
Dude. You saved me a whole lotta trouble. A little percussive maintenance can go a long ways I guess
Great job straight to the point very simple
Nice video!
A 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara.. so much easier to work on than my ES330. But the same concepts applies. Thanks for the video!
FINALLY! Someone who just jumps right to the point.
Thanks 😊
thank you for such a great video and easy to understand thanks to you.have a wonderful week
I appreciate this video thank you
This is a 2011 Suzuki grand vitara. But most vehicles have this set up as your interior air filter is located behind the glove box
I think this car is a Citroen C4 and I could not find any help on RUclips. I’ve now paid £350 to change the motor and the resistor at the garage (parts and labour). I would’ve loved to have done a simple job like this myself, but Hayhoe, I will be following you in future.
Thanks . Lexus is300
Thanks
Did you need to replace the resistor? Tks
Awesome job appreciate u getting right to the point! Can not stand somebody just saying a bunch of BS! Don’t have to say what kind of car you got because you got right to the point and explained it perfect thank you! As a female doing things on a car it makes a big difference when someone gets hurt to the point, and you explained it perfectly and for that thank you!
Is there a fuse I should check before buying and replacing the entire thing? It works but the blowing doesn't. I have a 2006 grand prix.
Who in the Hell makes a video about how to replace a blower motor without disclosing what kind of car you're replacing a blower motor in?? Everyone's blower motor is not under the dash.
But, where else would the blower motor be located?
Yours is a foreign car. What country did it come from? It popped up while I was looking for a Chevy avalanche which is not a foreign car. So what the hell? Is it under this category for anyway? Not mad at any body. Just very unappropriate video. Not much information for my purpose
Thanks for sharing very informative
He is a d.mb a.s
@@MrJohnnyDistortion My blower motor in my 1993 BMW 740iL is under the bonnet behind the firewall. The blower motor I was replacing in a 2012 Kia Forte SX when I searched for this video however, was in the glove compartment.
Only the center vents aren't working properly on my 2010 Nissan versa hatchback, the ones beside the radio. I can still feel a tiny bit of air coming out if I press my hand up to them but they don't work normally like all the others no matter what setting it's on. Could it still be the blower motor?
What ended up being the problem for ur car? Currently having same issue
did you get it resolved?
It's probably a door vent actuator not working.
What year is your Solstice?
Questions:
1. Did you return that first blower motor resistor that blew or did you have to buy a second one?
2. Also, did you replace the blower motor AFTER the first resistor blew?
3. I saw one video that warned me saying before you replace the resistor you should check the current and resistance in the blower motor as that might be the problem that blew the resistor.
Another video said that if your resistor blew, it's a good idea to go ahead and replace the blower motor at the same time as the motor probably caused the resistor to blow. What do you think?
What make an model is that vehicle you are working on
👌👍
How do you know to replace the blower resistor, and not the fan? (replacing fan is harder)
Got a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, a/c suddenly stopped working completely. Hit the blower motor a few times and it cranked back on. Can't tell if its the resistor or motor though. Dont have access to the tools i need so i want to purchase the correct piece. Any tips?
What do you mean you hit it? Like just smacked the dash with your hand or?
Hi, what kind of car or truck was this?
Even if its not under the glove box is that basicly how every cars blower system works?
Does this work for the heat as well??
If you are having the same issues of the air not blowing. Yes this can help you. The blower motor and resistor just move the air, regardless of Ac or heat.
ok my problem is this the blower is on and wont turn off however when the key is out it isnt on never had a problem just happened a few days ago any help advice please
My ac doesn’t turn on so should I replace the blown motor? Because I just bought one
Does that blower come with the harness? Mine stops working and I have to wiggle the wire for it to work
Blower only comes with the connector (with red and black wires on the video) . The harness running to it would be separate.
@@jeahman316 hey dip shit what vehicle and what year is it?
Steve Flores well aren't you just a bundle of joy
@@critterwhisperer5821 LOL
What vehicle is this?
2002 Kia optima heater motor replacement parts. And how to do the work
is this a kia sorento
what sends Power to the Switch ?
a simpler and easier fix is thump it a few times with the glove box removed and spray liberally with 556 chances are it will start wprking again
yes, it's just a little dinky fan. i did that and it worked.
This is the correct answer. I just did the same with my son's car, hoping it buys me some time.
My kind of first option fix
Nice. What part to thump? The black part he took out? And what's 556? Please
my 2011 malibu's fan dial has 4 settings, 1 and 2 arent working its not blowing out anything, but 3 and 4 work. would that be the resistor or the motor?
I would try to resistor first.
Hey man what type car is yours? I searched NISSAN Infiniti I 35 but your vid came up and your car parts say Mitsubishi
Tesla
On my 2000 jeep, I pulled my blower out to see if blowing in right direction, it was. I was getting low flow to vents. When I reinstalled, now I get no air at all. Blower is working but nothing at vents. Any help!
Check if filter is upside down, cover on filter is tight.
Resistor
Hey I have a Nissan Sentra 2012 Is it located in the same place? No air blowing or heat though u hear my fans turn on when I turn on settings 123 or 4
Most blowers are located behind the glove box. You can check by popping the glove box out.
@@jeahman316 ok I'll check it out tomorrow am and get back to you thanks
Hi, did you figure out the issue with your car? I have the exact same car and issue and I can not figure out why it’s doing that.
What car is this?
lmao i searched for a miata... wut
What car was this
What car make
How much was the blower motor
I have an l200 saturn and my blower is not under my glove any idea where to look
I believe on the Saturn's they are located under the hood. There should trim/tray close to the windshield that pops open on the passengerside. The filter is also located there if this is the right model.
Do you have to disconnect car battery when replacing the resistor and blower motor?
I did not. I left the ignition off and replaced the parts
No
@@jeahman316 would this be the same for a 2011 Mercury Milan Premier? I'm having the same problem no ac or heat. I used to be able to mess with the wires and it would come back on not nothing.
@@susanfunk4661 if no air is blowing than this could be your issue. If messing with the wiring gave you success than you might a loose connection than could have shorted a part out.
@@jeahman316 I got it fixed. I needed a new blower motor resistor and a pigtail connector harness.
Is this the same for heat as well
I have heat, dial works on #4
which car is this?
i have a.c....switches work, pressure is full, no leaks...but it just doesnt blow out any air...is this the issue?
That's the hvac gates' stepper actuator
Which part was cheaper if you dont mind me asking.
the resistor
What vehicle
What car dude
MINI COPPER 200 2006
A bad motor can blow a motor resistor
My fan on my z4 2007 after my battery died had stopped working and only works on number one setting, but my ac light won’t even turn on and the fans can only run and one speed and it’s just light air, can someone help?
Was your heat working or not?
I’m having a problem with my ac and heat not blowing anything, any ideas of what it could be? I replaced the blower motor still have the same problem..
Yes , if nothing is blowing than the resistor or motor could be a problem
Hey I have an Infiniti g35 2004 and I can not find anywhere on how to replace my heater blower are they all in the same spot. I bought the part but I refuse to pay a mechanic $150 if I can do it myself.
I'm unfamiliar with your vechile, but most vehicles blowers are located behind glove box. Takes just a minute to check.
@@jeahman316 thanks alot i appreciate your feedback i am going to take a look i hope it's easy and i can do it myself.
Bro called a Mitsubishi a foreign car when it’s owned by Chrysler
Hi Sifu... need ur xpertis consult for my s60 2001. The problem from aircond blower. I hv change it last week status 2nd hand. Last 2 days it happen not blowing so yesterday good news its working. Today morning it happen again. If its too simple can u guys help me to solve it before my financial goes mad haha.. tq brader2
Saiful Azhar check the fuse box its not fuse it’s relay need to change, usually that happens
what’s the power connector called?
The connector is part of a harness assembly
my blower is under my hood i drive 07. a6 C6 3.2 lol
His blower had Mitsubishi labeled on it. Your blower and resistor no matter the make and model will be under glovebox.
I have a right hand drive wrangler - not seeing blower or resistor
That is fake news lol. Most blower motors are on the under-hood side of the firewall on the passenger side.
Something similar is happening in my truck but when I hit the gas and go about 30 miles an hour it starts to blow again but when the truck is idle No air is coming out
Check resistor and blower motor.
It may be on vent. Put it on max a/c and the air prolly won't work at all. Its prolly NOT on max a/c, so it uses outside air like a vent.
Anyone know what MODEL vehicle this is?
Its look like a Suzuki aerio gloves compartment
Guy's just scroll through the comment's
Guys u very funny it’s electric ⚡️ issue not mechanical whatever the car it’s same
When I select floor, the blower turns off. Works on other settings.
I put another selector in, it did the same.
Goes from cold to hot..
Any suggestions?
@@MISSINGYEARS I care
It's probably the relay fuses. Each one should be for a different temperature setting
My blower kills my battery what may be the cause ?
Did you figure it out
@@brolla12 nope lol engine blew the next week
Not every blower motor is under the glove box. 2015 nissan versa is not. And now I have a blower motor sitting in my living room and no a/c in my car.
A Google search for your vechile and location of motor will resolve this.
@@jeahman316 actually it won't. Google it and see what you get. Very little on the 2015. Tons of stuff in the 2014 though. But that doeant help.
Why would you even own a Versa lol.
@@ALA-ub2eo because it was given to me
It was working fine til it stopped blowing. ??
Which car ??
Suzuki grand vitara, but all vehicles have these parts and same/simular set up.
do you need to buy the resistor?
Depends, if you can get voltage on the wires coming to the fan, then no. Replacing both as the resistor is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.
jeahman316 okay thank you
why do you waste our time by not putting year and make of the car in the descriptoin...........thumbs down......please fix your desciption
Mana yg berbahasa indon?
It doesn't even say what type of vehicle this is. smh.
It's a vehicle you drive 😀
Lmao
Year, make , and model of what we're even talking about?? 🤦🏻♂️
Mitsubishi is in the blower duh
I just replaced the blower motor and still doesn’t work
Check fuse box for a blown fuse. Or could be the resistor is blown
Is this a Nissan rouge what type of idiot doesn't put the car ?!
Yeah, there's just too many videos about how to fix something on a car with no type of car no make or model or year. Example this guy here says everybody's blower motor is under the glove box but that's false. It can be there or in the middle of the dash or under the steering wheel. So folks that are posting these videos with no type of vehicle attached to it are sometimes just trying to help you troubleshoot what is wrong with the part they're working on but their car and part has some stuff yours don't have any your's has stuff theirs don't have so you really gotta try to find a video with same make model and year as yours or you wind up wasting a whole lot of time trying to figure out what the dude in the generic video's talking about.
Cop
Not every single cars blower motor is behind the glove box really why would you make such a misleading statement
?? you act like all vehicles are just like yours. that took care of YOUR issue on YOUR vehicle. What kind of vehicle?
