I have been watching your videos back when I was in high school. Now I'm doing my postgraduate studies and still am watching your videos! Thank you so much for making science so interesting and easy!
Synthetic chemist back ground, started working on gene (drug) delivery system, which helped me lot to understand more about DNA/RNA seq. analysis. Somu, you are simply great and inspiring always....
Your videos are very much helpful to understand such difficult concepts to non molecular biology students. thank you sir for making such wonderful and easy lecture series 🙏😊
Fantastic vid, thanks. One small note about size-exclusion chromatography: The larger fragments travel FASTER. The smaller fragments travel SLOWER, as they are trapped in the porous beads in the column.
Hello Shomu, It's amazing for someone your age to know and explain all this information. I guess you could call that talent. Thank you very much for your videos. I have a suggestion, I see a pop up on your videos saying "Do you want me to do your homework for you?". I think you have made a good reputation, but by offering to "do" other students work is not ethical. I think you should keep on teaching students how to "catch" fish instead of "giving" fish if you really want to make a change. Thank you. Keep up the good work!
it would be great if all the related videos are linked together and sorted. I have hard time to search for each topic and i dont know whether i am listening to videos in correct order :(
Hi, this is very great video as usual. Could you please make a video about spatial gene expression because I think this is more update technology compared to single cell analysis? Don't you think? Please help me understand the spatial gene expression analysis things. I do not really know what it exactly is. Thank you very much.
For indirect RNA-seq: if the cDNA produced is double stranded, how do we know which strand of the cDNA is the same as the original RNA, and which strand is complementary to the original RNA sequence?
What happens if a tRNA, rRNA or even a mRNA has a sequence of consecutive A nt's in the middle of the chain. Will it end up attaching to the bead T-chain adaptors? Or does this method require a RNA chain to have A's only at the end?
*Please reply my comment sir* I'm confuse in all these topics please ap mje clear kre k konsa topic pehlay parhu aur konsa bad me plz make a sequence i want to clear my concept plz sir. 1-Phylogenetic analysis 2-protein docking 3-Protein domains 4-Protein coding regions 5-sequence alignment 6-hydropathy plot 7-Human genome presentation 8-protease enzymes 9-protein structure prediction *Anxiously waiting for ur reply*
Sir there is question how whole transcriptome from a particular cell can be analyzed? My ans is RNA sequencing... But acc. To my teacher it is microarray. Sir I am totally confused which one is the correct ans... Please help me....
Great video! But, can someone explain to me why Shomu lists SNP/mutation detection as a pro for RNA sequencing? I don't see why you couldn't attain the same result, perhaps even more accurately, by sequencing DNA in that case.
RNA-seq limits you to only sequencing the genes, so it can be cheaper than whole genome sequencing if you are only interested in gene sequences. Although exome sequencing can also be a good option if you only want SNPs within the genes and aren't interested in the expression levels at all. Also if you are already doing differential expression analysis, the SNPs are also a nice bonus analysis that you can do with the same RNA-seq data.
Whenever I am caught critically to understand concepts, I end up with your videos & you never disappoint me. thanks alot

Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
thank you man you’ve been saving my ass since 2012.
definitely your videos help me. I am a junior student learning bioinformatics now, you are better my professor!
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts

Yes that's what I said
Your videos are really helpful for non-biology background people. Thank you so much for creating these wonderful videos!
Glad to hear that you are getting benefit from the videos

+Muhammet M I don't do their home work. It's assistance service by providing article analysis and Skype tutorial. I should have change that phrase.
Whenever I am trouble of understanding concepts, I end up with your videos. thanks alot...
Awesome videos. Straight to the point and your explanations are so simple, even a beginner could understand. Keep up the good wok
Again thank you so much for making this video. 😊
You're welcome
Amazing content. Be blessed
Thank you
Thanks you just saved my life !
You're welcome
You are a good teacher
Your Lectures are very useful , Thank you so much..

Great video . Your videos help me a lot.
When we study transcriptase factor, can we develop another approach other than the RenSeq approach but based on hybrid sequence capture?
Great👍
Thank you
Plss kindly requesting to u explain cap analysis
Thanks, short, condensed and precise :)

is this part of any playlist or just a single video? thanks
Are these RNA concentrations high enough to be sent off for RNA sequencing?
Hi i enjoy your videos and find them very helpful, thanks! are you a student or a lecturer?
Wow, u r a genius
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Thanks brother, helps in my research project about "Transcriptome Assembly". - Mohammed, Saudi at USA
Please make videos on how to download Rna seq data from TCGA
thanks bhai, that is a good video.
Very very very helpful!
Please explain the cap analysis
Plss can you explain that cap analysis topic pls reply me
Good effort! Thank you Suman :)

Most of the lectures are available in my channel
will there be any difference in cDNA sequencing and DNA sequencing?
Sir plz make a video on RNA Seq

Hi,can you explain how to download RNA seq data from GEO database?
Can anyone suggest to me how to download the transcriptome database from NCBI-GEO

i have to isolate bacteria from the soil sample to degrade waste engine oil to identify type of bacteria which seqeuence should i use , rRNA or rDNA
thank you ! you are better than some of my profesors haha !!!
+Ji-Hyung Choi glad it helped
Ty 🌈
You're welcome
Nice
wow thank you very much!
Why don't we use beads with poly-U residues for poly-A library isolation?
RNA is less stable than DNA
how is the mRNA detaching from the beads?
Thank you :)
Can you give your mail id for contact u to get materials regarding Biotechnology and genetics topics.....
👍
You're welcome

Why we need RNA? In central dogma
To convey the coding to protein
you are superman
+Roy Joseph thank you
Why tRNA is not silenced even it is similar to miRNA?
Guide RNA cannot bind to tRNA
I think only mRNA is called transcriptome
Plz pronounce the direct
May show genetic diseases as DNA mutates,RNA may also change n protein will be abnormal leading to diseases
Salut la spé SVT 👋
