"I lost my GoPro". LOL - I saw that coming. You should attach a float to items like that similar to what boaties do with their boat keys.
Also, you should bring a hand net when fishing from a ski to land the fish easier.
But what do I know......
Seriously, just a floaty keychain, it doesn’t even give full buoyancy, just slow the drop. Also, some simple Velcro strips spread around the ski so he can pop them on. Losing the GoPro sucks, but that 1000 buck iPhone would’ve went next, I could almost see it falling next

a floaty item would be one thing. I just would bind it on a string. same with the phone.
You can by floats to attach to the back of the gopro, use them for surfing as they just float to the top

I've got a few that sound like that from when I fish off the ski / yak. You can rinse em all you want but since they are just getting splashed non-stop on the ski, they have to be taken apart and serviced on the regular.
