I had wanting to try Woodinville for years and this week it finally dropped in CT. I bought the regular non-finished bourbon for $33. Wow, was that good. I am not a fan of port finished bourbons and I think that might be the source of that note Tom described. Do yourself a favor and try the regular bourbon. Woodinville is a craft distillery but it was bought by LVMH about 5 years ago. LVMH also owns Glenmorangie who made the Lasanta you tried, Moet & Chandon, Hennessy and Dom Perignon. Woodinville has really big money behind them.

I will have to try another version of theirs…I never got that magic marker taste out of any other finished whiskey ( only out of Willett Rye) but I will have to keep my eye out for their regular bourbon…
