Music in general is technically unnecessary. What's your point? They experimented and found an unusual balance between all three singing styles and, as such, Amaranthe are a very successful band.

I dislike that people are saying that this isn't metal. This is just a different form of metal, like there is Grunge Metal, Symphonic Metal, and Heavy Metal. This is Power Metal, if you don't like it watch another video. I love their style, its different.
Absolutely agree, but you have to remember that a vast amount of metal fans are elitist pricks. If something doesn't follow an exact formula it isn't metal, blah blah blah... bore off -_- I'm loving these guys just because they're daring to be different and pulling it off brilliantly.
***** I think you hit the nail on the head GoL. Everyone thinks "their" taste is best. Granted I had to learn to like these guys, but they definitely deserve a place at the table. I consider them a bit of a "guilty pleasure," but I seriously dig them. Seeing them open for Within Temptation was THE best concert I've ever seen. Could not believe how great they sounded live.
And, let's face it, Elize is ridiculously hot in addition to having a fantastic voice.

These guys have always seemed pretty unique to me. Very much heavy metal, with a male and female clean vocalist, with a guy on the side to sing the growlier bits for them, and mixing industrial and electronic elements into it. Neat.
The pitch Elize is reaching when she is singing Drop Dead Cyincal kinda gives me the chills in a good way :)
Its actually a great song. This is the type of song that helps bridge genres and encourage pop type folks about how cool harder/metal music is. Freaking love this song 🤘

I had said that I was going to have to "suffer" through them in order to enjoy Within Temptation back in October. I was completely convinced that they were nothing more than a studio band who would SUCK live. I could not have been more wrong. This band totally rocks live. I could not believe how good they were. Amaranthe+Within Temptation was an EPIC combo. Best two for one ever. Total fan now having seen them live. Yeah, lyrics need a little help, but they rock in person. All 3 singers sound exactly the same live as they do in their videos. MUCH respect!!!!!!!

I bought this album yesterday and I've already listened to it countless times! Every song kicks ass! That's really rare these days! It's been a really long time sense I've bought an album and instantly know every song after hearing it once. This band did it right. Extremely simple and too the point! Metal can drag on too long these days but not this band! Dam! They get straight to the metal and don't stop!

Because somehow there are chords that Britney and Amaranthe used that sound the same: Compare the lyric "I'm not that innocent" from "Oops, I did it again", to the lyric "Let's get cynical" and the lyric "We'll Drop Dead Cynical" from, well, "Drop Dead Cynical".

I really like this new song/vid. I'm sad to see Andy go, he has a great voice, but Henrik Englund also has killer harsh vocals. Elize is a great vocalist and is super hot and I'm never disappointed in Amaranthe's videos.

Yeah, the girls are pretty and Elize is too. But, honestly, I dislike the cheerleader part for a few reasons. First it doesn't really fit with the video's theme. It shows the band doing bad-ass fighting, her included, and then she's a cheerleader? Does not compute. Lastly, I REALLY like that Amaranthe videos give generally equal screen time to all the band members, not just her. No Doubt was a great band, but things changed when their whole thing became "Look how pretty Gwen Stefani is" don't you think?
