Recently while driving to school he asked for this album by name (I play all sorts of good music for my offspring, including Amaranthe!). As the album played, he began identifying each song as belonging to a character from his beloved Transformers. This morning I turned the album on again and asked him who the songs were, and they were the same as last time! The Catalyst: Shockwave Insatiable: Soundwave Damnation Flame: Thundercracker Liberated: Starscream Re-Vision: Skywarp Interference: Megatron If you know the Transformers, you may notice that these are all Decepticons, the "bad guys." So "Stay A Little While" really threw him, and he couldn't name a Transformer for it!! Anyway, we just love any time he uses words to tell his unique perspective on the world, and I hope someone reads this and finds it fun!
Woah, I completely get it! It's like the themes for each Decepticon, and maybe the lyrics fit, too. And about the ballad of the album, the one I can think of that goes with it is Knockout, from Transformers Prime, in regard to his best friend's death in the show.
If you're enjoying this kind of sound, you might try out Nightwish or Within Temptation. They both play with the "beauty and the beast" kind of swap between operatic female vocals and the shadowspheric male vocals - heavy bass lines and clear melodies. They were definitely the two bands that paved the way for the genre, in my humble opinion.
The title track is easily the best opener to an album ever. Since 1999, it’s been D.N.R. From testaments “the gathering”. It has officially been dethroned. Beyond well done, Amaranthe!!! Far beyond!! Thank you so much!! 🤘

A few things baffled me about their recent concert in Warsaw I've been to (spoiler alert, if someone doesn't want to know the setlist before the show and plan to attend one): 1) Not playing the 'Insatiable'! This is imo by far the concertmost song on the album (and in general), not only because it was one of the singles we grew to love the album with way before its release, but it has that marchlike beat and pace and 'let the mob control your mind' line which scream jumping, mosh pit and other crowd craziness at the concert. Not to mention that it's one of the best songs on the album. 2) Playing 6 songs from Manifest and only 4 from The Catalist... On The Catalist tour. Very strange. At least it should be the other way around... 3) Elyze struggling with the equipment For the first quarter of the concert, she couldn't hear herself or something else was wrong with her earpiece so she was way off in the opening 3 or 4 songs, and that obviously made her really nervous, she tried to cover it, but you could feel it. And we don't want to see someone we love so much getting stressed and unhappy. 4) A few stage/visual/pyro effects more would've been nice... You don't need to have inflatable dragons like DragonForce but something to accompany the band's force on stage wouldn't hurt. Apart from these, which are more of an observations and wonderings rather than complaints, it was a memorable night, the Amaranthe are at their second prime, so be sure to not miss them live if you have the chance. The intro to Cristalline was divine just to say... And as for the new album, the 'Resistance' is one of the band's best songs ever, if not THE best... It's out of this, and all the other worlds, both known and unknown! Love from Serbia!

They can technically still make money this way through ads and various other RUclips payouts. Honestly not sure why more artists don't do this since it could just be another source of revenue even if it's "free". It's better than pirating in this case if someone can't afford an album that way revenue is still generated.
Has to be one of the best albums I think they've had in a long time. I think my favor is going to have to be revision because it's just a really cool echoing hypnotic sound now. I love it and but yeah it's an incredible album and maybe someday I'll meet the band and get their autograph and tell him thank you because they've helped me so much because 4 years ago plus I was hit at 125 mph die twice and pretty much broke all the bones in my body and I woke up from a coma about 10 and 1/2 days later and then when I was surfing the web about a month and a half later I discovered the band. The first song I heard was 365 and I was hooked and that was it. And so I use their music to help me with with my therapy that I had and still use it today. So just an incredible album
I'm old and old fashioned. I'll actually buy this album/CD soon and it'll play continuously by default for a month or so in my truck. Right now the Mandrake Project is always playing when I drive, this will replace it in a few days.
It's almost impossible these days to find a whole album worth playing. Let alone one that gets better all the way through. Never been a big fan of this group but this is outstanding.
