Hello world & welcome to The Doll Symposium, this is my new show that replaced 3 Minute Thursdays. TDS will be a show about not only the news but also my opinions/speculations on each topic, as well as a brand new segment that features viewers like yourself to be able to participate in the show. I hope you all enjoy this new format as much as I love to do it for you.

Oh no I missed the live! 4 in the morning is not my best time XD
Do you only have meets at conventions? You don't meet up at a park or at someone's home? That is how I'm used to. If owners meet up at an anime convention, sure. But mostly I was just a time and place at a park, a café or so. No one was having speaks, just hangouts, helping, fondling. And no "celebrity " like Danny anywhere near. I would love to meet him, but even if he came to Europe, the cost and mental load of travel and lodging is a lot :( and yes, I also voted lavender 2 !! That is such a lovely face.
I can’t speak for all groups but here in Jersey we have monthly meet ups, it’s in libraries and parks traditionally

Ugh I missed the LIVE or I would have a lot to say about the boys 😂
1- yes back when I got into Smart dolls, boys were still available as frontline which I was lucky to get 1 Eichi and 2 Crimson. Course later I get other boys, but they were gotten as seasonal, second hand as the limited edition ones.
2- a lot of complain for not getting Smart doll boys were the arms are extremely difficult to put back on unless you know the very specific way to put it on. The arm peg is a bit too short to pop back on. That got better after the release of the slim arms version , but by then boys were already seldom a priority to Danny.
3- Danny has admittedly said he also isn’t very excited about making boys, unless the limited editions Lelouch, Suzaku and still to be release, Naruto.
Even so between Smart doll and Dollfie Dream, the boys had small releases in pretty much all skin colors … with the exception of grey yet or black Navy
3- the excuse boys don’t sell enough so not worth keeping it’s … hmmm … not fair cause Danny has said several times that he goes out of his way to keep maintaining some of the Cocoa dolls and dolls that represent different types of people like the doll with burning , vitiligo etc Danny has said those dolls are important to him. He will keep them frontline even if they don’t sell that well compared to Cinnamon and Tea Dolls.
4- I think the different types of nose and mouth the issue is each would need entire new copper molds and Danny has said it’s very expensive, so he tries to make as much use as possible why we have so many characters out of 1 semi real sculpture… granted I don’t know why Beyond is the only release as Cocoa as she could have at least a Tea release.
5- I spoke to Danny at Impulse and he did say he doesn’t intent to release more fantasy colors as vinyl. Instead he plans to use the Cortex 2 for that, as he said they are much easier to manufacture and easier to keep in stock as they occupy less space. Plus different than vinyl they are arrive at Danny’s place already pre cut and only need to be assembled.
I agree on all points, the arms thing for boys definitely was an issue for most. The molds part, he could have used the Eiji head to at least make other attempts with different face up eyes and wigs but he didn’t.
