On day one of Stephen's surprise birthday road trip we woke up in Brecon Beacon National Park where we give you a room tour of our van life campervan for the next few days.
After breakfast we head out to explore the National Park at Henrhyd Waterfall before heading to Carreg Cennen Castle to try our first Welsh Cawl to warm us up before climbing up to see the castle ruins.
Afterwards we made our way to One Cat Farm - the cutest little glamping spot - you all need to come here!! We even learnt how to run a campsite!
In the morning after having the most unique bath warmed by a fire, we headed off to explore more of Wales before stopping off at our final campsite - Three Cliffs Bay!

I agree! Wales is awesome! You also NEED to see Caernarfon Castle and town, Conwy castle and " The Great Orme!!!!" There is a train there that takes you to the top - which you might want to ride up instead of drive cause it is so steep and it's awesome to relax while you see and record what it's like as you go up the mountain! The top of the mountain is incredible views and you NEED to see The famous Lighthouse (which is also a bed and breakfast nearby) You will not regret it! :D

Went to Wales when we got off the ferry from Ireland. Travelled along the north west corner and coast and Snowdonia. Absolutely beautiful.

Wales looks beautiful! We used a camper van to go all the way around Iceland. It’s an amazing way to travel. It gives you so much mobility to get far into the real countryside since you don’t have to worry about lodging. We’ll definitely be campervanning on more of our trips. And wales is going to be one of those upcoming trips for sure!

Flying The Nest it’s the motto that my wife and I strive to live by.
If you're still in wales you need to visit the small island called Angesley, don't worry you only have to drive over a bridge to get there but the beaches and coastal walks are beautiful. Grew up here and its still one of my favourite places for wild beaches. There are also really cute little villages and a small surfing community

I was born about one mile from Carreg Cennen castle in a mansion called Glynhir 75 years ago. Your videos are some of the best I've seen on RUclips, and you're a lovely couple too!

Your in my lil hometown! The gower is beautiful its so great seeing you guys come here! Love watching your videos, youve really inspired me to go travelling guys, watching foreigners come to britain makes you appreciate your home even more :). If your in the swansea area then joes icecream is a MUST, you can only get it in swansea. Brains beer, welsh cakes, welsh rarebit (welsh cheese on toast), laverbread if your feeling brave and bara brith (fruity tea cake). Wales has the most castles out of any country in europe so if you love your history definately take advantage! Enjoy!! Xx

I love wales 🏴! It’s were I go on holiday in summer time and stay at a cottage/cabin or stay in a caravan but it doesn’t move. Wales is beautiful! I say wales is one of the worlds most beautiful countries!

Went to the Brecon Beacons a year after I first moved to England. It was around Easter time that year ( 1994 ). I can remember while hiking up a mountain, on one side of me it was snowing, and on my front it wasn’t! Wales is a beautiful country, well the places that I visited! Lol! After seeing your vlog it’s convinced me I need to visit North Wales. Thank you for you for sharing your vlog with me.

I lived in Wales for 8 years - 5 in the south east & 3 in the north. You should check out the mountains & beaches in North Wales, they are amazing. I know your video is over 6 months old...but you have to try welsh cakes!!! 😍🏴

Wales is beautiful, so many different places to explore. If your in the area visit Portmerion, North Wales. Look out for some Bara Brith, a traditional Welsh tea loaf 👍

I love my country. Beautiful rolling countryside, pristine beaches and rugged mountains but if you want the cities are vibrant too. Good surf in West Wales and dolphins in Cardigan bay. The quirky town of Portmerion. Visiting a Market town on their market day to see local produce. Best of all though......the people.
I grew up in Wales but moved to Nashville earlier this year, however, I'm coming home a week today for the holidays and this has made me so unbelievably excited! You truly don't know what you've got until it's gone

The natural scenery is so breathtaking! The castles. The farmlands. Even a bit of boating. And a tiny house to stay in. I could just watch this video over and over!

I lived near Brecon Beacons growing up & now live near 3 cliffs bay! It’s great to see people coming here
Hope you went from Gower further to the west and visited the city Tenby and further north the city Llanberis which lies between 2 lakes and is a good point to either hike up to the Snowdon or take one of the small trains. In Llanberis is a slate museum which is quite nice and a few other things to visit as well.
When i was in Wales (and Cornwall) some years ago i preferred to stay in B&B's. You get in touch with the locals way easier, than if you stay in your van the whole day.

The waterfall that you went to is in the village of coelbren and I used to go there nearly every day

I stayed overnight in the Brecon Beacons on Sunday night near a little village called Talybont on usk played guitar in a open mic night in Abergavenny on Sunday afternoon its a nice area I been up sugar loaf a few times I'm from snowdonia in North Wales.
All of Wales is worth seeing. It's such a beautiful part of Britain (as indeed is the Lake District and Scotland).

It reminds me of my place of la naisance, Michigan. My 3rd great grandfather James Welsh Kemp was from Poole Dorset England and I think the closest to the border of Wales is 60 or 70 miles.
My sister was here this summer and she sent me photos and I was dying!!! So beautiful and the countryside is like something out of a movie. Love it!
I'm in south Wales and we have a chinese lady staying. She said she felt like she was living in a movie lol. Its funny when people say things like that when it is stuff that you just take for granted.

I see that you are in South Powys, you should drive up to North Powys to Welshpool, which is a lovely town with a beautiful castle.

Aw such a great Vlog!! I didn’t get a notification though??!! I absolutely love watching Wales travel vlogs and seeing what people think of where I live. I know it’s beautiful here but I do take it for granted sometimes, so vlogs remind me to get out more and explore. If you didn’t have a chance to travel around the Pembrokeshire coast (where I live and where Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows scenes were filmed plus lots of other films), you should definitely come back from May onwards as it’s truly beautiful 😁 🏴

Ya'll have saved my bacon! I just checked out the Quirky Campers website! My wife and I are going to Wales and Scotland in May 2020, and we're totally going to be looking into the glamper van! The most things you will find here are fields, mountains, castles and plenty of sheep, but if you have time you should definitely check out Tenby, lovely little town with lovely beach views , also you should try some welsh cakes.

Yes we couldn't believe how warm it is this time of year! So so strange. We were ready for it to be super cold! I heard July was extremely hot this year too?
