AIC is unmatched imo. When I think of the 90’s and “grunge”, they’re who I think of first. Never has been, never will be another band with this sound. Can’t be duplicated. Number one for me always and forever.
The head banging from 0:07-0:16 is so epic lol not even the hardest rock song to head bang to, but they did it so fluently with the song. Makes you wanna head bang along!
Not the hardest on the album you mean! But when live, they went a bit faster and totally changed it. That’s how they wanted it done initially but the producer sucks ass.
Every, single, time, I watch this, and see Layne grabbing his hair reeling up for that main chorus on Man In The Box, I get goosebumps. I fucking love it so much.
I remember I saw this in 1991. I was headed to old 48 lanes to midnight bowl. I saw this was totally blown away!! Thanks again for uploading this great memory for all the world to see!
They set everything up for Nirvana to knock down with MITB spring of 1991. AIC was the best new band on earth at this time. From 91-94 they were the best. They sound better than the fucking album here. Stunning. Jerry is the best guitarist in Rock since the 90s and Layne was untouchable. Mike and Sean were Zeppelin like. Underrated. Lastly what separates them is songwriting. These guys are/were incredible songwriters. RIP Layne and Mike. Glad they are still going but nothing will ever be like this original line up at its peak. FUCK HEROIN and the pieces of shit that brought it into this amazing musical movement that was the last musical revolution. The dealers were all murderers. I still wonder how so many singers ended up dead. Almost seemed by design. This was powerful stuff. The music can never die.
Dam brings back memories i remember sitting in my living room front of the tv recording this live performance on the VHS recorder yes i said it VHS recorder and this was aired on ABC 1991 the same year i graduated from my senior high school. The 90s were the best memorable times of my life.
I used to use a VHS recorder as far back as 2001. The first video I ever recorded was Soundgardens loud love off of a show called VH1 the rock show. I hated my generation... I wished I would have been 10 years older back then.
I totally agree the 1990 performance at Moore theater got a VHS release and recent vinyl release but deserves a DVD and Blu Ray release. I watch it here since the VHS copies are probably well generated due to age and use now.
There's Live Facelift but its hard to find. There's also their 2 songs on the Singles set. Unfortunately they never made concert DVDs like other bands, wish they had.
Exactly, ALL the other grunge bands have HD footage of their best concerts but AiC only has Live at the Moore, which is also a bad quality recording. I seriously blame their horrible management by Susan Silver.
@@thomaspatrickparker6648 It's all due to bad management by Susan Silver, she was busy working only for his husband, Chris Cornell. AiC deserved so much more...
even when he was healthly had a sort of mysterius and damned aurea. His eyes look deep and dark. The most damned of his generation (not Kurt). Thanks Layne
Layne has been gone too long.😪 Seeing this performance for the first time just now makes me ache. Ache for Layne, ache for 1991, ache for the days when music like this was hitting all the airwaves. But most of all, ache for being that young, that wild, that beautiful and thinking it would never end.
I thought my hometown of the 1991 Cincinnati Bogarts Layne Staley's Birthday was Layne Staley's best Work but this obviously is #1. Proven now that late 1991 were Layne Staley's best ever Performances 🎉😂❤❤n

0:00 - 9:09 best part
Mike Starr could make that bass sing. Damn punchy as fuck!
Yup. He didn't need special pickups like Mike Ibanez
Man Staley could sing. Holy cow
I like how Layne adds the ‘woof, woof’. RIP
💁🏼♀️Always my favorite part!🐶🐾
like a real dog, man
has to be one of the best live performances i have ever seen...man in the box was off the charts
This concert put bands like poison and warrant on notice that their days are numbered!
Dude I remember watching this concert live and thought what the crap have I just laid my eyes and ears upon. DAMN!!! Totally revolutionary!!
@@juniordaddyman Lucky man... I wish I could have witnessed the death of hair metal and be introduced to grunge right when it happened
Exactly all of them!!! Loved it
It was on the charts.

Alice In Chains kept me alive when nothing else could
What are they doctors now? 😂
they almost killed me lol
Same 100%
Best band/singer ever
I was thirty years old. How am I just becoming a fan😥
The 90’s was the best!!!
Welcome
He was the BEST what a Amazing singer love him
Layne was a singing BEAST, with his incredible sidekick, shredding the guitar and backup singing, Mr. Jerry Cantrell
Mike Starr was a bad ass bassist. Too bad he couldn't stay in the band. I really preferred him over Inez.
3:38 - Laney Staley . R.I.P ❤
5:09 His perfect vibrato👌
Man were they on top of their game !
Anybody else laugh at the eyebrow raise layne dose at 058 I wonder what he saw lol!

Depois do alice in chains tudo mudou! inclusive na minha vida
Love love love Alice In Chains 🖤🌹🤘🤘🤘Best over best ❤🎉
When singers could really sing......no auto tune bullshit here.
Goosebumps here
Why has this band got no DVD from pre 1995 when in my view they were at their best from Facelift to Self titled ?

Mike Starr ❤
Of all the live performances on YT. This one is the best.
Best coming out of Seattle
Jerry Cantrell💖
Man that early energy was so good! No shirts all 4 members, just shredding🤘💪

Sea of sorrow is such a banger!
I didn’t know they still did the show then. Fantastic show!
Staley left to soon
Cool! And crowd was crazy haha 😂
Amazing
Poor guys, at that time they still hadn't made enough money to buy themselves some shirts (luckily for some of us who don't get tired of watching) 😍😍😍
Com todo respeito ao Duvall, mas para o Alice in chains, layne é muito melhor.
Epic!

Layne is so young and clear eyed here. So sad what heroine did to him. Makes me sick 😢
It's for it's time the best live on nat tv
3:06 shredd
This is the Chicago Cubs Ian Happ before he made it big in the majors
Alice in Chains e a Performance de “Man in the Box” no ABC in Concert, 1991... Jesus Christ Yankee Money & Power Out Faith! 💲✝☢

This wails.
일단 전부 다 웃통까고 시작하네
Ruined it by bleeping wtf
I know it totally ruined it for me, is there a version of this concert where they uncensored the swearing on “Man in the Box”
