Robert you out-did yourself my friend! Loved hosting you and taking you up in “Fifty-Three Tango”! Ladies and gents, friends of Traveling Robert, members, and Patreons......I’m honored and humbled that I was able to help The Chief Pelican Head to finally spread his wings and sore . Woooo hoooo!!! Misty and I have a very fledgling RUclips channel called One-Eighty-Two Flyer. Feel free to stop by and check it out, you can also follow our Facebook Page under the same title. My editing is nothing like Roberts masterpiece here. But we try and have a little flying fun to share with everybody. I can’t thank Robert enough for featuring this flight. So deeply humbled. We had such a great time, and can hardly wait to do it again!

LOL! Apologies for the pilot lingo. IFR means instrument flight rules. Which is the FAA rules we were using for this particular flight. Lamens terms......just means the weather is cruddy with low lying clouds. Magnetos are what give the spark plugs their spark to fire the engine. Airplane piston engines have 2 magnetos with 2 sets of spark plugs for safety in the event one fails. Great comment!

My son lives in San Antonio.(works as a chef at Marriott Hotel). My wife and I visited there last year. Loved the Riverwalk. My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. I used to live in Missouri, Pensacola, Illinois and Connecticut. Now I live in SE AZ (approximately 16-18 miles from Tombstone) If you're ever out this way, know a few good camping spots at least one of which is free near Tombstone.

Hello, Robert...long time viewer and subscriber here.
Just wanted to let you know that some of your flight footage from this video is being used by another channel. Ordinarily I might say and perhaps you would think that there is no bad publicity. However, the channel in question is a conspiracy channel of sublimely moronic quality which claims, among other things, that airplanes fly with no fuel. Some of his other claims are that planes also are smaller and fly half the speed we're told which leads to the conclusion that the USA is half the size we've been taught (bet you could debunk that pretty fast...LOL).
Let's see, what else has this genius "discovered?"...Devil's Tower is a giant tree stump...Mount Rushmore is either concrete or paper mache...The Earth is a flat plane tilted downward to the north at 2.35 degrees...You just can't make this stuff up. His only defense is to block comments from anyone who might disagree with him.
Please, please, Puh-leeze...hit him with a copyright strike and tell him I sent you. The channel in question is called Enslaved By No Media but he is more commonly known as Encumbered By No Intelligence, The Piehole from Walpole, or simply Dave Mis-spell-king. I encourage others Robert fans to check out this lunacy and put your thumb orientation or comments to good use.
Robert, if you ever need a mooch-dock near Nashville TN, the door is open and I'll put the IPAs on ice.

Robert! I am glad that you get to experience to fly on those planes. They are amazing and fun. I’ve experienced flying on a show plan built in 1955 (not for a show, just flown over Chino, CA and nearby cities. See you onto to the next episode. 😁🤟🏻

Robert, next time you're near western KY, feel free to mooch-dock at my place in the country. 100 acres, with full hook-ups. I'm a pro songwriter/musician. We'll cut a song! Safe travels.

Another great video Robert. It would have been nice if the plane ride was VFR and we could have seen something other than the inside of an eggshell. Pilot speak! But you made it interesting enough. I've made that trip across the US on I10 a couple of times and I can attest to the never endings boredom of it. And as you mentioned, Houston seems to be about half the journey. Keep up the good work. (Hope you're getting something out of all the commercials You-Tube puts in your videos. This one was a bit excessive)

I just done watching this episode after I already watch your greatest Arizona trip which is one of my favorites video from you. The flying over San Antonio really made this video exceptional, besides your good in capturing great video of San Antonio birds eye view, you were flying with such a good pilot. Thumbs up again for this video.

$2.02 for gas! It seems so long ago…. We won’t be seeing those prices for a long time, possibly never. 😬
Love seeing those bridges that seem to climb so steep.
Man those Buc-ees are seriously so large. Oh someday I’ll be visiting one in person.
Jayson has a very nice Cessna 182! As a private pilot his plane has seen the upgrades often! Dual transponders, radar and full panel makes for a great experience. He was very good in his skills (on the take off I heard my flight instructor yelling “center line”) and that Lycoming 540 motor is the best engine period for “small” engines in general Aviation.
Great video sir! First to comment I believe and I will see you on the road!
    Bill

Thank you for the kind words Bill! Misty and I are very blessed with our TR182. Misty calls her “my mistress” since she gets all the extra money and attention...LOL! Glad you enjoyed this one. Such an honor and I have been deeply humbled having Robert onboard.

Hey Robert, you know what would be a great idea? Offering shotgun position with a sane, down to earth fan? Maybe not the whole trip, but a leg of it. Or at least it sounded like a good idea in my head. I love the channel.
