    Subaru managing to lead a pretty damn evil Connor into the more sympathetic route is an interesting choice.

    And enjoy we did!
    I almost forgot how this chapter (and Night of the soul) really is the calm before the storm. Which makes me even more excited how Subaru's gonna handle Crossroads and the final chapter!
    As always excellent work Taiyou. I have complete faith in your ability to make a legendary finale to Subaru's Detroit Adventure!

    I can't believe you're shortening 2 clips over around 4 hours long in total into 2 30 minute videos, don't burn yourself out, especially if college has started, even if it takes long you need as much energy as you can to go through college, I know that because as my teacher once said to discipline us, and as my parents once said; :know that highschool is just preparation for college, if you think you can go through college like this then you will regret it."

    4:34 I feel like "connor's happy place" could've worked here. Emergency exit makes me think of buildings. You "go to your happy place" when your hide in a corner and talk to yourself, which is kinda what she's talking about connor doing.
    4:46 aaaaand that's not what she's talking about lol

    • @TaiyouBudikara
      @TaiyouBudikara  2 года назад

      Aaahhhh, I think I understand now. I was unsure how to interpreted that. So when she mentioned Kamski, I just kinda push Kamski mentioning emergency exit to the narrative. What kind of translation do you think would go better there?

    • @charliegerrie
      @charliegerrie 2 года назад +1

      At 3:12 she seems to think this transition is from connor remembering actually meeting amanda. But at 4:25 she realizes that she's "in his head" so to speak. I thought what she was trying to say by nigemichi was "a place in your head where you run away to". The closest thing I could think that people use to mean somebody being inside their head is happy place, however that has connotations of insanity or childlike avoidance, so not the best translation. Anyway by 4:46 I realize my mistake and that she's actually referencing the kamski lore so yea the amanda backdoor thing is well translated

    Hi! Wow, we're getting close to the finale! Thanks for all your hard work until now and wow, has it been a long time since I've watched this series. It's always nice to come back hahaha. Super thankful of you translating this series, in a way it'd comforting to know translations of these exist so that even in the event their channels and archives get erased, it still lives on here.
    Right, have a question too! Do you actually translate the game dialogue or do you just get the transcript from the game and put it there?

    • @TaiyouBudikara
      @TaiyouBudikara  2 года назад +2

      I tried to match the dialogues said in japanese with the transcripts from the game for the first few chapter. Turns out it was a lot of effort and people seems to don't mind with the original game transcripts. They also localized a lot of things in the japanese dub which made it even harder to translate.

      @@TaiyouBudikara Uwa, you mean you translated the japanese transcript to english before? Respect man. Thanks for answering!
