For anyone who has tried and has an issue with disabling CSM and their computer not booting, you need to convert your main active boot drive from MBR to GPT.
Hey nice tip! I have a question for you. I am looking to change my boot drive like you said. How do I go about doing this if all I have is one gen 4, 1tb nvme m.2 in my pc? Do I need to get another storage to back up, and then do the conversion? Or is there a better way?
I strongly recommend going with an AMD setup these days. Nvidia has stretched itself too thin especially with aspirations to begin manufacturing CPU's without infrastructure yet in place. I would not have said this 4 years ago but AMD is now outperforming both Nvidia and intel offerings and even a feature like SAM is around 10% more effective across the board compared in toe to toe benchmarks with Nvidia's resizable bar. Yes Nvidia and intel have absolutely the finest drivers but that's about the only edge that they have right now except for gimmicky features that they would never try to list to their corporate consumers because they would get called out fast.
Does having an AMD Cpu, and Gpu help? I have an AMD 7 3700x and I’m going to get an RX 6750 XT, so does that mean ill get the most amount of performance out of my hardware?
@@abdulsaeed4274 I don't think so, that is a pretty good matchup so you shouldn't have to worry about bottlenecking. As far as I know the CPU support issues came about starting with Gen 11 on intel chips and are actually more closely related to m.2 drive support. I'm not sure how that sorts out with AMD chips but if you aren't even using m.2 SSD's then I really wouldn't worry.

it does not work on my b450 asus mainboard i have a ryzen 5 3600 xt and a rx 6600 xt. the problem is that it does not boot in to windows when i enable it.
This guy is missing a critical detail. To get resizable BAR to work, windows 10 will need to be installed on an SSD or HDD that is GPT format. If CSM is turned off, and windows is installed on an MBR format drive, windows will not boot. You will be stuck in a boot cycle.
Should note that this is a PCI Express 4.0 feature. Make sure your mobo and GPU have this. Also, no guarantee that it will be well utilized at a driver level if AMD/NVIDIA don't support it for your GPU.
For anyone who has tried and has an issue with disabling CSM and their computer not booting, you need to convert your main active boot drive from MBR to GPT.

Sadly my bios don't have the advanced settings or CSM and I have windows 10 but then again I have ryzen 3 3200u
Will this not work if my ssd is gen 3?
Is there anyway we enable this in intel platform?
As stated this is currently AMD CPU and Radeon GPU only.
Thank you took a little longer to do because of asus motherboard but thanks
Thanks a bunch for the help!
Bro i have B450 tomahawk max, Ryzen 5 3600 and Rx 6700xt can i enable SAM ? 🥰😍
Yee
Does SAM increase effective ethereum mined or is it just a Mh/s bug?
Thank you bro 😀
How to do in HP motherboard ?
This guy is missing a critical detail. To get resizable BAR to work, windows 10 will need to be installed on an SSD or HDD that is GPT format. If CSM is turned off, and windows is installed on an MBR format drive, windows will not boot. You will be stuck in a boot cycle.
I hope asrock enables this for zen 2 cpus
Enabled sam will my gaming be a lot smoother?
There are definitely performance benefits
i cant find pci configuration pls help
If you don’t have PCI configuration. You need to update your bios.
hi anyone encounter problem that after disable CSM i cant boot the window but only can get back to bios?
Big help thanks man!
no luck with an Asrock Steel Legend B550
A new bios version just came out.
so this wont work with ryzen 7 3700x?
It should
Should note that this is a PCI Express 4.0 feature. Make sure your mobo and GPU have this.
Also, no guarantee that it will be well utilized at a driver level if AMD/NVIDIA don't support it for your GPU.
If i disable CSM.. All disk, m.2, ssd and hardisk.. Not detected... Please help me
The RESIZE BAR does it affect the mining performance ?
PCI config doesn’t show up what do I do now
VERY GOOD, MAN
IS THIS IS ALSO WITH RYZEN 3700X + RX6000
No it is only for a ryzen 5000 cpu & radeon 6000 gpu.
@@CredituR there are saying now that 3000 series is supported but you have to make sure to get a bios that supports it. Check with your vendor.
@@Justin-iu7un also working on nvidia now (not so good, but better then nothing)
My 3900x + rtx 3090
thank u fr bro
I did this but it Will put me back To bios after save and exit
Damn that sucks why do my motherboard support this and when disabling CSM won't boot me into windows, that just sucks 🙄🙄
Thank you!
Using an x570 godlike, cannot find any of these settings
Update your Bios
