why aren't you getting 200K+ viewings...superbly articulate...and glad you're going away from the Alpha level cognacs...and turning the light on for superb winter sips with an educated glow. Thanks man.
You should try, if you get the chance, the brandy from Moldova, like: Călărași, Bardar, Cricova, Kvint, Barza Albă, Vartely. Excellent value for money! We get it here in Romania for about 10£ a 0,5 litre bottle of XO (more than 7 years old). The guys from Moldova, Armenia and Georgia were the brandy and wine producers of the former USSR, so they know what they are doing. Ararat from Armenia is a class above all of the others, though, especially after they were bought by the French. But the price is higher too.
As a South African, I know KWV all too well. You'll almost never find a house without some variety of KWV. We have a massive brady culture and I'm grateful for the wonderful brandy and wine producers in our country.
My parents bought a bottle of kwv for their honeymoon in '95 and they were saving it for their 25th anniversary, not knowing this I got into it as a young teen and now I just ordered a new bottle for their 25th, sadly its not "35 years" aged as they wished
Im a longtime drinker of whiskey vodka beer and now Im getting into Brandy because i got gifted a bottle of cheap French stuff and really liked it now I bought a cheap bottle of South African brandy and I'm in love and want more.
That Joe started! It’s the least fashionable spirit right now, because the usual times to drink it have disappeared, you know, after a 5 course meal in a restaurant, with a cigar etc. These are such good products. You must buy KWV 10 Year old! www.drinksdirect.com/kwv-10-year-old-brandy-70cl-2767 It’s a bargain, and a banger!
Nice video, I´ve just bought St Rémy XO to try. I´m a whisky/bourbon drinker and I´d like to try some brandy too. My first brandy was Camus VSOP which isn´t bad at all. Are there some rules for brandy? Like - are the producers allowed to add any coloring or any other stuff to the brandy?
Haven’t drank any brandy cause people around me have gave it a bad name. Always see the KWV I’m gonna try now. I’m from and in South Africa lol I feel ashamed but I have been mostly a whiskey person in my defence. Looking forward to trying this stuff
I am not speaking about COGNAC…I, humbly, speak about “BRANDY”….Spanish JEREZ, Xeres, …best elixir in the world. My prefered one…CARDENAL MENDOZA GR…no one word more I need
KWV brandies are fantastic! I really like the 15 year
The Van Ryn 12 Year Old, without a doubt one of the most underrated brandys out there!

The St Remy XO is delicious stuff - I've only just got in to Brandy, but this stuff surpassed my expectations!
I’m drinking the VSOP, very nice. I’m new to Brandy also.
