I'm amazed that this episode only has 13,000 views. You just know that every viewer is some unique person with the best taste in the world, who all have amazing stories about how they found JD/New Order and how much it changed their life. Would love to meet you all. Cheers.
More than any other band I love, this band unites friends of different musical backgrounds, preferences and opinion together. Their music lifted my mood during those teenage years. Much love for this well produced series. Cheers!!
Man I listened to the last 5 of these on auto-play and was expecting the next one! Can't wait for Blue Monday! The stories and interviews have been great so far. Been a fan since about 1984 over here in the U.S. I'm more on about NO than JD, but love it all, even Electronic! Power Corruption and Lies is one of my faves, I keep that record in a special plastic cover.
Saw them play their third ever gig at Middlesbrough Rock Garden, it was rammed, felt like a wake, we were all there to pay our respects, no one shouted out for J.D songs, the songs and the atmosphere were quite sombre.
I love this, PC&L is , in my opinion, the crowning achievement of New Order´s career, though they´ve kept making amazing music since. I fell in love with the album after seeing them live in ´84 in Barcelona, and to this day, it´s one of my all time desert island kind of record. You Silent Face is nothing short of a religious experience to me.
@@RiotNrrrdUTube I was lucky indeed, the concert was great back then but it´s kept growing and growing in my memory as one of my top 5 gigs ever. ( And , no, no relation to Angel that I´m aware of )
@@annamolina3940 Angél is a very big DJ in Barcelona (and in Spain generally). Luckily for you there are lots of videos on here from that Estoc De Pop show. And a soundboard recording (no video, just audio) of the whole show. It's amazing: ruclips.net/video/gl36_erg9o8/видео.html
I remember what a pain in the arse it was to programme a sequencer in step time in those days. Note... rest ... rest... note ... note... rest ...” hang on, how many notes was that?”. It could take all afternoon to do one verse and you needed the patience of a saint. Of course, it was trying to sound like New Order that made me do it.
Hey NO I listened to both volumes and a great trip down memory lane. Thanks for this. Overall thanks for being an inspiration for my life path, I've always stubbornly gone my own way and it's worked out pretty well, thanks for being there with me!
Will this series cover the rest of their history? I really wanna hear about Low Life, Technique, and the rest. Peter Hook's memoir was a great read; but i still wanna hear the rest of the band's input!
Its not always up to them, Theres a lot of legislation with these things sometimes. In Plus people gotta make money somehow, they put work into this Im sure. And your enjoying it for free, the least ya can do is sit through an Ad for a moment.
No kidding. I could listen to a 30 minute jam of that tune. And you just know that if they released it in a numbered vinyl it would sell at least 10,000 copies, and people would pay at least $100 for it.
Some artists like DIVINE [ Harris Glenn Milstead ] have incorporated the Blue Monday beat into their songs, for example this track: ruclips.net/video/XdpnTQ_BxEc/видео.html
I remember buying PC&L the day it was released from Woolworths. Got home and will never forget the first time I heard Age of Consent.

You are lucky, that Estoc de Pop show was one of their greatest ever. (Are you related to my friend Angel Molina the DJ?)
