When it goes in the ground as far as pipe connections go on 1 inch pipe I still like to do screw clamps on barbed fittings. When you're doing bluelock it's a much smaller fitment and I think they're more robust than what's in the poly pipe. I haven't used them regularly on new installs in the field for poly so I'm not going to recommend. I think of it this way whereas the swing joints or something you might have to pop out again if something goes wrong with the soil over time but with the pipe once it soon I'd rather it be in there good and not have to worry about it
My theory is a manifold that is built with pvc lock and angle globe valve's is considered a swing joint manifold?🤔 best and easiest manifold to build for sure. and the jumbo V box Is a great idea for installation and repairs when needed
It's an uncommon suggestion... But it's so worth it in the long run. Most guys don't rent to dig the extra shovel width around the standard box. It's only another 15-20 minutes of digging and an extra $25-30 in contractor pricing per box
Here's the thing about the easy aspect... I'm not even concerned with easy so much as I am modularity and long term repair costs. By going PVC lock, swivel adapters, and a jumbo box... Freeze damage is drastically reduced and repair work also drastically reduced, and long term final repair costs to the client ultimately... Are significantly reduced. We charge good money up front to ensure clients are aware of the reduced potential future costs. That's why I really love PVC lock and swivel adapters
You seem to be a big fan of blu lock. I'm curious why you didn't have him use their piping and fittings also.
