This has always been my dream! I promised to myself that I'm gonna create a multi-purpose studio (for singing, dancing and workout) if I could buy my own house. I mean it's not just good for leisure and hobby, it's also beneficial for my overall health so it's really an investment! Meanwhile I would have to finish this hell aka med school lol
Excellent. My daughter has been asking for this setup and the studio mirrors are upwards of $300. We showed this to her and she was very happy with the idea so we are already heading to Target to put this together. Thx again-
I ended up doing this and it's great so far, my only fear is if i ever have to take them down i'd probably have to break the mirrors bc the hold is so strong. but these are never falling off the wall that's for sure
Yea I used a paint scraper and slowly pried all the sections off. Then again I did them really quick after applying so maybe after a few months the bond would be harder to remove
yas! so creative, this is exactly what I needed. I didn't want to spend $100s on trying to get the big fancy mirrors at the gyms. I have no problem with a little elbow grease and effort to get this. Thank you so much!
Wow this is exactly what I was looking for! I’m turning my bedroom into a home gym and was not looking forward to spending hundreds on wall mirrors but was bummed that I wouldn’t have them so you just made my imagine come to life thank you so much and will credit you in my home gym video for this 🧡
OMG THANK YOU I've been searching for good ways to make a dance studio at home and tiny tile mirror tiles but it's so distorted i cant even use it TT . so glad I found this it looks perfect!!! Im so gonna do this :DDD
I bought these from Target today! Many paper cuts later I was able to install six of them! I broke three haha. I had a total of 9. Almost bought the $300 ones... this installation costed 6 x 9 = $54?
i tried this but my mirrors ended up falling off the next day. it might’ve been because my walls have a glossy paint coat on top. i also used 2 extra strips of tape on the top and bottom of the mirrors as well but they ended up falling. i think maybe next i’m going to try sanding down the wall a bit before reattaching them. just a tip for anyone who has a glossy top coat on their walls! thank you for the helpful tutorial!
Hi, there are three very important points to make about dance and gym mirrors, no sharp edges on the mirror glass, the mirror should have a safety laminate backing incase it gets broken and finally a secure fixing to the wall. All these are for safety!
Or just make it painless and use command strips... for easy removal later. I have one of these types of mirrors (without the frame) mounted horizontally on the wall over my makeup table and another (with frame) mounted vertically on my door to see outfits of the day. I’ve had them mounted up for 1yr+. My door mirror recently came off, but that was because my toddler pulled on it (to look behind it for his “lookalike friend” lol!). So, he tore the paper backing from behind the mirror that the command strip was attached to. But the command strips stayed in place together on the door! I was able to remove the command strips from the door easily without issue or damage. I only use the command strips with the highest weight rating that I can find in store and place one strip along the edges, but more could be used to be extra cautious..
Wow good idea on the hair dryer part! I gave up while trying to rip the frame apart from the mirror in my trial so...my dance studio has the target mirror frames. I'll do a better job next time!
Thank you for this tutorial! Exactly what I needed! Got the mirrors. Already broke 1!! Can't get the glue off for the life of me! 🙄😟 What am I doing wrong? Any tips?
Clear and accurate. I use one of these mounted to my wall over my makeup table (without the border) and another one mounted to my door to see outfits of the day. You can always check it out at the store before buying.. lol
Hi! So far the mirrors have held up without falling for a year, and still look strong! To remove the mirrors, a hairdryer and old gift card (or other thin plastic scraper) can be used again -- the hairdryer to loosen the adhesive and the gift card to gently pry off the tape from the wall. There is some risk that your drywall paper may tear. If this happens, you can touch up the areas with sealer, joint compound, and paint. Just Google "torn drywall repair" to see more details. I would treat this installation as semi-permanant, or just keep in mind that there will likely be some extra work when you do remove it! I will have to remove my setup in a couple years, and I'll try to make another tutorial video for removal when I do!
Update to the last comment, I did figure out how to successfully take the mirrors out of the frame without breaking them, it's not foolproof, but it involved doing it with a razor blade instead of the gift card, a blanket to put the mirrors on, and making sure the glue with cut away without trying to pry the mirrors out of the frame. I did three successfully so far, and increased time of each one by alot, and didn't have to the hairdryer either.
As a hip hop dance instructor, who learned most everything from youtube but has also taken in person classes I highly recommend STEEZY, I wish it was around when I was learning from RUclips, it’s just like any dance class you would go to, but broken down into smaller sections which makes it easy to focus and learn at your own pace. You can rewind and go back to certain sections that you would like to work on. And they teach basics that most studios only teach to 5 yr olds. Also it’s surprisingly cheap. Most dance classes are $15 per class, or $50 per month and that’s the lower end. STEEZY is $20 a month or $100 yearly. It’s the best choice honestly. You only have to motivate yourself to doing it at home. That’s the hardest part.
Thanks for the video. One question - I noticed that once you separate the mirror from the frame, the edges of the mirrors are very sharp. Usually frameless mirror edges are polished for safety. Since this one is housed in the frame, the edges are not polished. How do you handle that?
Just tried removing the paper and the frame from one mirror and after 25 minutes and trying thinking I had it out of the frame, it broke. Did you have this experience? Do you have any other suggestions or videos on how to take them out of the frame without breaking it ?
i kinda have a fear of holding a mirror that is idk how to explain byt that doesn't have a plastick or anything safe on the edge cause I'm also scared of broken glass since i think that i can hurt my self or anyone with small glasses that my naked can't see maybe... anxiety byt i don't want to over react or be dramatic about it
Hello! As long as you use the right length of tape for the weight of the mirrors, they will stay up. See 4:07 in the video for this step. Mine have been up for a year so far!

I have the same goal but you're lucky enough that you're already in med school while I'm still stuck in my senior yr in highschool
The feels are real; I'm in my first semester of a nursing program and my hobbies have kinda dissappeared for lack of time xD
omg not me watching this on my break from STEP 1 studying hahahahaaa. We've got this!!!!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for! I want to turn my office into a dance studio and wasnt sure if I could remove mirrors from the frames nicely
Excellent. My daughter has been asking for this setup and the studio mirrors are upwards of $300. We showed this to her and she was very happy with the idea so we are already heading to Target to put this together. Thx again-

alicia min Wall scraper might help
alicia min what did you use to bond them to the wall?
Yea I used a paint scraper and slowly pried all the sections off. Then again I did them really quick after applying so maybe after a few months the bond would be harder to remove
Hair drier loosens scotch tape bond too just takes awhile because it’s thicker than the original glue
YOONMIN IS REAL FIGHT ME Probably walmart

Awesome ! Just took my $500 home studio mirror down to AFFORDABLE! Now I have money to use on the flooriing.
Wow this is exactly what I was looking for! I’m turning my bedroom into a home gym and was not looking forward to spending hundreds on wall mirrors but was bummed that I wouldn’t have them so you just made my imagine come to life thank you so much and will credit you in my home gym video for this 🧡
i also did this with my mirror but the edges are sharp and i cut my hand pretty bad so just be careful if you do do this!
I love this! Way to go!
Oh sharoz big fan from india
i will be doing this in my new apartment!! LOVE
OMG THANK YOU I've been searching for good ways to make a dance studio at home and tiny tile mirror tiles but it's so distorted i cant even use it TT . so glad I found this it looks perfect!!! Im so gonna do this :DDD
I have one of these mirrors from target, actually shows with good quality. I really admired the time and dedication you took to do this, amazing!

For added security you can use mirror caulking and/or mirror mounting clips. Both are available at hardware stores like Home Depot and are inexpensive
Use mirror clips in addition to tape. Safer!

You're a genius! Thank you

Great idea! Be careful the mirrors break super easy. Make sure all the glue is removed before handling.
Thanks so much, was looking for a cost effective way to create a wall mirror. So thankful you posted this. Keep going. Much love.
Great idea! I’ve been thinking about using bedroom mirrors from a department store, too. Very thorough and helpful. Thanks☺️👍.
This is what I was needing! Thank you for making this video! It’s very helpful :) definitely inspired to make one myself

Step 1: Have a home :D
For real though, this is cool
Exactly the type of solution was looking for
i thought if doing this but i thought it was stupid... you changed my mind!
Best video I found to take the frames off!!! Thank you 🙏
Wow good idea on the hair dryer part! I gave up while trying to rip the frame apart from the mirror in my trial so...my dance studio has the target mirror frames. I'll do a better job next time!
This is awesome! i love it!!!

Audience from Taiwan ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this tutorial! Exactly what I needed! Got the mirrors. Already broke 1!! Can't get the glue off for the life of me! 🙄😟 What am I doing wrong? Any tips?
You are my hero.
This is perfect!!! i’ve been looking for something like this!!! Thank you!!!!
Does the reflection look like a fun house mirror with the mirrors being so cheap? Or does it look clear and accurate?
Same question 😅
Clear and accurate.
I use one of these mounted to my wall over my makeup table (without the border) and another one mounted to my door to see outfits of the day.
You can always check it out at the store before buying.. lol
Wow! You are great! Your are so multi task and creative. You gave me a super idea. thanks
Super clever!! Loved it! Thank you for the tips and have a great day!
Great video!! Question is how are they holding up??? Have you tried to remove one.. Another girl said they were completely stuck to her wall

Great! Now I just need space lol
Thanks for the video! I was wondering how your dancing has been coming along.
Any issues with cold weather with the tape not working anymore? Did the mirror fall?

I will be doing thiiis! Lol great video!
Umm.... You're Brilliant. This was incredible, thank you for sharing
Wow!!! how is it now? Did the adhesive tape hold up?
Very smart. Great video. Thank you. Helped me allot
This video was really helpful! I want to do this for the same reason lol. Would you recommend Steezy?

Is the mounting tape easily removable? like is this rental friendly?
Thanks for the video. One question - I noticed that once you separate the mirror from the frame, the edges of the mirrors are very sharp. Usually frameless mirror edges are polished for safety. Since this one is housed in the frame, the edges are not polished. How do you handle that?
I just registered for studio! Thanks for sharing!
This is damn genius!
Nice! Just bought same mirrors x8. But price is already $7
Just tried removing the paper and the frame from one mirror and after 25 minutes and trying thinking I had it out of the frame, it broke. Did you have this experience? Do you have any other suggestions or videos on how to take them out of the frame without breaking it ?
Great idea
Thanks
thanks didi for helping ua
Great tips thank you!!!
Can u tell me the size of ur room? How much clear space u need in front of the mirror?
Bomb asf
Just awesome!
USE ACRYLIC MIRROR SHEETS!!!!!
they are a lot cheaper than glass mirrors and these sheets will also not break or fall down.
Would it damage the wall after using that kind of tape?
Life saver ily
are the 1 piece mirror is more expensive?
How is the double side tape holding up?
And how about the flooring ?
Thank you :)
Wow best video evaaaaa!!!!
What is the floor name plss I badly needed that
Do you know how to safely mount them? In the past, double sided tape has destroyed my drywall.
Command strips
I want to try this but I’m scared the mirrors will fall off the wall
how are your mirrors holding up?

Can we get an update?
Wow.... but where r u now
I want to know how your table tennis is going?

_~*Thankies!*~_ for the video! Very help! 💜
you're so soft spoken
Hey what are the dimensions on those mirrors?
YASSSSS
I use my parents room as a dance studio, cause i could just lock the door for privacy and dance .-.
Girl where have you been
i kinda have a fear of holding a mirror that is idk how to explain byt that doesn't have a plastick or anything safe on the edge cause I'm also scared of broken glass since i think that i can hurt my self or anyone with small glasses that my naked can't see maybe... anxiety byt i don't want to over react or be dramatic about it
I would suggest wearing gloves just in case so you don't cut yourself on the raw edge. Always handle the sharp edges with care!
I’m following all your steps but taking off the glue is the hardest part
Her - how to build your own dancing studio
Hrithik - yah sab to main choti mein karta 😅
will the mirror fall ?
Hello! As long as you use the right length of tape for the weight of the mirrors, they will stay up. See 4:07 in the video for this step. Mine have been up for a year so far!
Alt title: How to remove frame from cheap mirrors.
Only problem it may fall easily and unsafe !
