I can only agree with this list for NG. When you go to NG+ or later or when you have the debuff from not having Kuro's charm. This list looks different imo
Exactly, in NG+ without Kuro's Charm umbrella loses it's blocking, which makes it way worse, the spear, on the other hand, is great, since it can outrange and keep you safe.
@@twelveandthreequartersduck6769 deflecting repetitive quick attacks is extremely difficult with the umbrella, also I loved the blocking when going through places like Gun Fort

Mist Raven hands down my #1. Getting past that snake in that cave using this was so cool, I just died no matter what before using this. The second phase against prime owl, where he used his spirit animal to teleport behind me, I used it against him, never felt more badass.
actually, sabimaru was most useful if you read the description. if you take it to the fountainhead palace it INSTA poisons the okami warrior women. with poison active it reduces their endurance for posture and life. they basically become unable to defend themselves after just 1 hit from it. sabimaru is top 3 for making all enemies in a single corner of the map easy.
Mist Raven is the true butter, when there is no hope to dodge or deflect and you're cornered it will save the day. Only those who have endured the same trauma will understand
I like the list but in NG+ the shuriken, the flame vent and especially the firecracker are the prostetic tootls that you'll use the most, the spear only has utility for the guardian ape boss imo. annyway good vid
I play really aggressively, so spear was exactly what I needed for gap closing and making sure I didnt let their posture deplete when I scooted put of range to heal
@@MasDouc yes i did, i stopped at ng+6. 99 attack power at ng+6 isn't that great, but since it stops escalating the difficulty at ng+7 i think it's well balanced.
My NG +7 Charmless Bell Demon opinions 10: Divine Abduction - Can be used to get a quick buck for Sen Throw or some sugars 9: Finger Whistle - Useless if not malcontent, hard to justify the cost when a mortal draw will do way more to Demon of Hatred. Can still be useful to get heals and buffs in. 8: Loaded Spear - Useful for phase 2 Guardian Ape and Headless Ape, can be used with proper spacing to help deal with large groups of enemies 7: Loaded Umbrella - Really suffers with chip damage, still has slightly larger perfect parry window and can be used to avoid annoying grabs like Emma's 6: Sabimaru - Useful on sword vs. sword boss fights, especially following up from perilous jump counters. Extends combos, builds a good chunk of posture and poison stops posture regen. Also makes fountainhead palace mob fights a breeze. 5: Loaded Axe - Does a ton of posture damage, especially useful against Armored Warrior. Also a good follow up for perilous attack jump counters. Jumping attacks to build burn is likely the best strategy. 4: Mist Raven - Very useful for getting out of tough combos and huge AOE attacks on the toughest fights in the game like Inner Owl and Inner Isshin. Directly goes into lightning counter when hit with a lightning attack. Very useful for extending combos and keeping posture pressure up. Would recommend trying it out a couple times if you're struggling against all 3 "Inner" fights. 3: Flame Vent - Burn status is huge on bosses with high posture recovery. Does good health and posture damage. Generally useful on a big portion of boss fights. Would be ranked higher if Kusabimaru buff lasted longer. 2: Shuriken - Lazulite Shuriken is fantastic for dealing with ranged enemies and dogs. Cancels posture recovery as well, just generally useful. Sen Throw is a whole nother beast. Sen Throw just does a ridiculous amount of posture damage. So much so that it's used in every Gauntlet speedrun. Would be ranked lower if Sen Throw wasn't busted. 1: Shinobi Firecracker - Just the base version is still the best tool in the game. Useful in every single boss fight besides Demon of Hatred and Divine Dragon. Completely trivializes Monk Illusion, both Snake Eyes, Folding Screen Monkeys, and Phase 1 Guardian Ape. It's just busted beyond belief. Kinda sucks that the "best" version of the prosthetic is just a straight downgrade compared to the previous upgrades, but that doesn't change a thing. Obviously every list is subjective, just thought I'd throw my two cents in since game knowledge has matured since this video was released, and playing Charmless specifically changes the whole dynamic of the game by quite a bit.
Great list! I love the loaded umbrella as well, but always found it kinda strange. In a game where you have to fight aggressive and ruthless to get your way one of the best tools is practically a shield. It occured strange to me - which just makes me like the umbrella even more!
I just got done with a NG+4 playthrough to finish off my Platinum, and I don't think I ever used mist raven throughout any of my playthroughs. It's cool that the game still offers unique gameplay strategies even without so many different weapons like DS/Bloodborne
Everyone talks about how the Firecrackers are the best, and I can’t deny they are useful, but I think a majority of the positive outlook comes from the fact that they’re so easy to use, and use effectively. A lot of other prosthetics have more effective and powerful utilities, but take more planning and skill to use. Also, the amount of times I trade hits and die while using the firecrackers is more than I can count at this point.
I did not expect that order. Nice to hear differing opinions. I expected: Top, Flame Vent, Firecracker, Umbrella, Axe, Finger Whistle, Fan, Spear, Shuriken, Sabimaru, Mist Raven, Bottom Mostly ranked by how much I use them but with Umbrella & Whistle being higher due to how strongly they counter bosses and Fan being higher for the increased drop rate of mercury. Maybe I should try to find a time Mist Raven is better than deflect/block.
The only time Mist Raven is technically the "best" option is when you're trying to do a Lightning Reversal-- you can use Mist Raven to avoid the damage and still reverse the lightning back at the boss/enemy.
@@beaairey4096 Not really. I dodged behind his attacks and then used Chasing Slice to get free hits in. I still had to dodge/deflect his attacks so I wouldn't run out of Spirit Emblems.
Flame vent is #1 for me. Allows you to do multiple times more damage than anything else when combined with oil and living force. It is completely game changing
My list: 10. Loaded Spear: good range for close combat, but slow, long wind-up, pitiful damage 09. Finger Whistle: Yeah good against a few enemies but all in all a terrible tool 08. Divine Abduction: Way to expensive, Only good against the mob enemies 07. Loaded Axe: Mini boss killer? yeah, against the slow and clunky ones, but costing all your spirit emblems and an extremely slow wind-up 06. Loaded Umbrella: Defense and all is nice, but as a skilled player it isn't that helpful. The attack is only strong after defending a few incoming attacks and the wind-up of the attack is extremely slow. Good for starters, but later not that necessary anymore 05. Sabimaru: My favorite tool. Played right you can unleash a barrage of attacks on the enemy without him being able to do anything. The hardest tool to master, but if you master it, it is one of the best. Expensive 04. Mist Raven: Allows to be extremely experimental with combat arts. That makes it really versatile. And it safed me more than once and can be used against EVERYTHING. Expensive, especially the flame version 03. Flame Vent: Extremely useful thanks to living weapon. Without it, the vent would be on the bottom of the list. Damage is low and the enemy only burns after multiple usages or throwing an oil urn at him 02. Loaded Shuriken: The most versatile and cheapest out of all the tools. No matter how much you hate it (or not) you will use it again and again 01. Firecracker: My personal opinion, I don't like this tool. It feels like a cheat modul build into the game. Even the hardest bosses get much easier with this. The stun is crazy strong and works against almost everything. There is no doubt about it, that this is by far the strongest tool in Sekiro
@RUBY DA CHERRY I platinumed it, beat it charmless and used the bell. After all that, I would put the Umbrella on the fifth spot, but the axe is still useless. It's like in every from game. My playstyle is most likely different from yours. That is why this list varies from your list.
Yeah i could confidently say that the umbrella was the most useful for me even while doing charmless + bell demon runs because it ignores stagger, has higher posture damage when parrying, good follow-up damage, a slightly higher parry window, can ignore both Terror and Burn status, blocks grabs, and mostly it only causes one emblem. Most of the time i mix up my parries with my sword and umbrella especially to the end of enemies' combos like Geni's floating passage , Headless ape's wind up , Corrupted monk's 5 360 swing, Owl father's heavy slash and many more.
I think the divine abduction is absolutely insane and should be far higher in the list. We are talking for 3 spirit emblems you can get two casts of an AoE interruption tool that also allows for two backstab opportunities on normal enemies which allows for ninjitsu art if you so choose. For it's cost, this thing is broken and there'd be no reason to use any other combat art, or prosthetic in that situation. Against bosses, sure it's uses aren't as great.
Gotta be honest, I find it kinda hard to experiment with some of these as often as I'd like. (Maybe it's cuz unlike Bloodborne there's no clear pattern like "gun wielding enemies = guaranteed bullet drops" or stuff like that)
Late game (and even mid game) there's nothing much left worth buying anyway so just farm some sen and buy as much emblems as you want. If you don't use any much emblems while farming, you'll also get a bunch stacked up after defeating them too. And that extra emblem drop skill in the monk tree is also pretty helpful.
Critically underrated the Sabimaru, in my opinion. No mention of the fact that it quickly sounds and poisons Okami warrior women - which is really useful later on. Also, during phase 2 Isshin, you can poison him twice and get him down to half health.
Interesting video. I'll say that this ranking woefully underestimates the Finger Whistle. It is an absolute godsend for stealth killing enemies. You can wall hug and whistle around a corner at someone, (isolating them if they're with friends, which is something Ceramic Shards can't do) and then 1-shot them when they get to you. Same with ledge-hanging. Mountain Echo is great for doing similar things without having access to a ledge or wall to hug. Finally, you can wipe entire groups of animal mobs like wolves or monkeys with a single whistle, and can use them to hurt nearby human enemies.
Mist raven and umbrella can make both ishin(Ashina and sword saint) a breeze. All his cancer attack can be avoided and countered. You just need to get good for his second phase (Sword saint).
Just run until he doss the jumping spear attack, followed by the slash and then run in and punish him for a hit. Using that method and running side to side the entire fight will work outside of phase 1, really. In phase 3, things are largly the same, just be ready to lightning return. Lol
Eh, they are hard to rank cause I use most of them but it depends on the situation. I use the spear on both ape fights and for tearing armor off, axe for shield and hat guys and the Armored Knight, firecrackers for Gyoubu/first phase ape/blazing and sakura bull and for knocking Sword Saint out of his charged spear spin, flame vent I use with oil on the ogres, the Juuzou's/Tokujiro and sometimes on Ashina Seven Spears and the samurai generals, sabimaru I use on snake-eyes and the okami women in Fountainhead, finger whistle I use for stealth kills and Demon of Hatred, umbrella I use on both ashina elites and the shichimen warriors plus to deflect Genichiro's mortal draw then hit him with projected force, shurikens I use to stop enemy posture regen, close distance with the follow-up skill, knock Lady Butterfly down, kill dogs and to keep the one mini-boss in Hirata estate from calling for his dogs. The two prosthetics I never really use are the fan and the feather, but I know the fan is good for farming and for getting rid of the monks and I've seen people do cool shit with the feather (like doing return lightning without taking damage), seriously going to try out the feather more next playthrough.
You can tell the Spear’s placement especially regarding the spiral spear is a bit of a outdated opinion in hindsight because it is the only other tool that uses only 1 spirit emblem like the shuriken. But has a lot more damage especially with the very short charge up, and it has some niche usage with things like the drag. Underrated part is that the spiral spear can take on grouped enemies very easily with the charge up, run through a crowd and do a lot of damage, and then pull one alive target away with the drag and finish them off.
Umbrella is tool I never use on first run, but on 2-3 run I made me really easy to kill almost all boss and mini (almost) It hard to use at first though, so I agree with you on this, but other order isn't really same
Pretty spot on Mist Raven and loaded umbrella are so good because you don't need to learn boss patterns, the drawback is limited uses but umbrella costs a measly 1 emblem. I personally find the axe easier to use than firecrackers but that's just preference.
Iirc the reasons why they didn't use shields was due to both the cutting strength of the katana and due to requiring 2 hands to properly use the katana. The katana is one of, if not the, most impressive advancements in military science even to this day. The way katanas were/are made allowed it to literally cleave a shield in half if used by someone proficient enough with it. It could jab through steel. It's ranked with the AK-47 as being one of the most effective devices when made for killing. Even to this day it's one of the sharpest and most durable swords that can be made. Wish I could give links... It's an insanely powerful weapon in the right hands and requires quick mobility, light on the feet 2 handed use. The armor was more for arrows and bullets as the katanas are some of the sharpest swords ever made.
Sabimaru was good for extending combos, and building up health bar damage. Used it all the time in my playthroughs. Sabimaru til you get deflected, use normal attack evasive spin thing to avoid the counter and sabimaru their side. Wrecks most faster paced enemies.
I agree The umbrella is the best generalist tool and it’s so good at dealing with the inner bosses or just general protections from moves that catch you off guard and plus you can get a lot of posture damage out of it
My top 3: 1.loaded umbrella with projected force 2. spear any form it is just a great tool taking out mobs 3. Axe great posture damage to most enemies. What i like about this game that all the prosthetics are useful when used in the correct situation
literally all the weapons in BB are good, it would be kinda dumb if even one of them was straight up bad. some of the prosthetic tools become pretty much useless on a no charm playthrough
I was today years old when I found out that the loaded finger can also be affective against the headless, I shall take this knowledge with me in my next run of Sekiro
Spiral spear is actually one of the best, you have no idea. Its a high skill cap prosthetic, hit at the tip for more damage, use max range and back out, jump in odd angles and use it, costs only 1 emblem, charged spiral spear on bosses wrecks with damage for only 1 emblem then you can follow up with chasing slice for more dmg. Works great on dogs, monkeys, can poke bosses, pull in move for crowd control, catch bosses during walk animation because it has so much range. The rest of your list is ok except Sabimaru is alot better than you think. I think you haven't fully explored the options and how to use those 2 because they are the highest skill cap/floor prosthetics along with Myst Raven. Trust me on this one, you are dead wrong on the spear, try it again and try to be more creative with it instead of throwing it out when you are too close to the enemy.
With the spear during the fight with the headless ape you can actually use it to pull the centipede out and get extra damage to its health and posture which I think should earn it a little more respect
I think the only truly weak prosthetic tool in the game is the sabimaru, even when fully upgraded. One of the best ways to use it is to proc poison on a boss who has fast-regenerating posture, to stop the posture regen. But the problem is that the poison proc is inconsistent with sabimaru, sometimes you'll poison an enemy in just one combo, other times you can land 3 combos on the same enemy and still not proc the poison.
I find this really misleading, in my first 3 playthroughs I never once felt that I needed "less posture damage" or "defense from range". The game already has enough tools to defend yourself. Firecrackers are just the best tool in the game making some bosses a joke. For example it completely stops One Mind in that one bossfight even if timed horrible thanks to long spark
Fire mist raven is really useful on NG+, I just throw oil on some annoying enemies, and just use the Fire Mist Raven. It puts them on fire easily (easier than the flame-thrower) and can make you deals a lot of damage instantly after
I like your list. I only ever used 3 of them: 1. Shuriken, 2. Umbrella, 3. Firecrackers. I couldn't find a use for the others. Ax is too slow. Flame vent costs too much. Dodge is already good without Feather. I forgot the Spear and Finger existed while playing. Items dropped easy enough, so I didn't need Abduction. Sabimaru is trash. Now, I see a lot of people trashing on the Shuriken. The only thing it is weak against are large beast enemies. It destroys all human enemies by interrupting them. They are basically a stun button at half the price of Firecrackers.
the two i use the most are the lazulite shurikens and the umbrella, more often the ones that protect from fire and terror. the 3rd slot is changed often to another tool i might need, mostly the spear, the flame barrel, the axe and the sabimaru.
Loaded umbrella is by far the best Prosthetic tool in sekiro. Although I didn’t use it very much, but it helped me a lot in the fight with Isshin the sword saint, especially against his mortal draw attacks.
holy shit i've been avoiding prosthetic arts for a while now cause i really wanted to save my exp up for something else, but now i see how much i need them
For NG+ and especially NG++ and beyond with path of hardships enabled where chip damage and posture breaking will get you killed quickly, the whistle is good for stealth killing tough enemies in groups. But most useful I have found is the mist raven. So damn good against tougher minibosses and some bosses. The loaded umbrella becomes effectively useless due to chip damage breaking through it though.
I was really afraid u would rank the ax low but it's my favorite prosthetic behind the shuriken that being I completely disagree with the loaded umbrella being number one but I always Max out early since spirit emblems cost 10 Sen in the early stages of the game so I never had to worry about emblem consumption but that's way I love about sekiro everyone has there own favorite tools, skills ,and techniques. Great video I learned a lot way hing this video
for me, the shuriken is my most use prothetic tool cause it's likely force the boss to come at me (like Saint Isshin phase 1 or Orin...), make it's easy to prepare or bait their attack. Second is firecracker, it's like Ichimoji but with faster speed.
I only use the firecrackers really and it’s just because I can use it to gain some time to heal and use divine confetti. I’m sure the umbrella is good but like I’ve used it once and it’s in gum fort. I got firecrackers and use it all the time.
One thing i have to say is you should play this game at least twice. The first time for the exploration and what not , and NG+ for all the fun combat options you get.
Surprised that Firecrackers weren't #1, but I can definitely see the argument for Umbrella being ahead, and EVEN Flame Vent. Shurikens never seemed good at all though.
Shurikens are good against enemy's that jump around a lot. Purple's, NightJar, Troll's/Rat's(Although by the end of the game smashing them with the Loaded Axe is much more time effective.)
Sabimaru absolutely wrecks enemies in the fountainhead palace. Plus it wrecks snake eyes shirafuji (the one above). Its also helpful at the farm spot just b4 the divine dragon
Need another ranking for New game + with no Kuro's charm and Demon Bell. These will truly show which Prosthetic tools are actually effective. Otherwise this ranking only applies for New game and/or New game + with Kuro's charm and no Demon bell.
Umbrella is definitely top tier but if you play without the charm it becomes way less OP and can basically only be used for offense. I'd still put it above the flame vent though. With charm the top 3 is probably firecrackers, umbrella, shuriken, without charm I'd say mist raven replaces it in that ranking
Sorry but the axe is the absolute GOAT. Idk what your on about it not being effective against bosses, I use it to completely cheese the last health bar of the majority of the bosses in the game including owl, isshin sword saint, and genichiro at ashina castle.
IMO, Firecracker is definitely the best prosthetic tool. It makes most bosses total pushovers (i.e. Corrupted Monk). Even if it doesn’t completely cheese the fight, it can certainly give you a head start.
I think the firecrackers should be top 3, if not number 1! Aside from using the stun to get hits in, I used it defensively to great effect against bosses like owl or isshin, who will punish you when you try to heal. Just pop firecrackers and heal, they will charge into the blast and stop on their tracks. It's the most useful tool imo, to the point that it's almost a crutch. I used the loaded axes a lot as well, just because it looks bad ass mostly, but also its a nice burst of posture damage against mini-bosses and some bosses as well (if you are not saving the spirit emblems for the crackers of course)
For mist raven, you should've mentioned that it's actually possible to dodge perilous attacks, not grabs though. The question though, is does mist raven work for the zombie things in the dungeon? They have grabs, but they aren't perilous.
Definitely disagree with the absolute bottom placement of the spear. Spiral variant is easy and effective to use on many enemies if you just bother to pay attention to your spacing. Not to mention Spiral costs one emblem. The wide swing on Leaping Flame and Cleave Type definitely isn't great though, I would agree.
Am I the only one that never found the firecracker prosthetic in my first playthrough? I feel like I had a rougher time cause I didn't know it existed lol.

@@unknowingreaper6556 you do realize that most enemies drop spirit emblems like candy, right? furthermore, you can also buy those in any sculptor's idol.
I've hardly used prosthetics, and I'm breezing through the game.
You have to find the prosthetics, in order to use them.
I broadly agree with this list, except for a charmless run where the umbrella becomes way more situational! Great vid
Mist Raven hands down my #1. Getting past that snake in that cave using this was so cool, I just died no matter what before using this.
The second phase against prime owl, where he used his spirit animal to teleport behind me, I used it against him, never felt more badass.
Did you try making the monkey a puppet to get past the snake?
@@miehackhd5027 this😅
actually, sabimaru was most useful if you read the description. if you take it to the fountainhead palace it INSTA poisons the okami warrior women. with poison active it reduces their endurance for posture and life. they basically become unable to defend themselves after just 1 hit from it. sabimaru is top 3 for making all enemies in a single corner of the map easy.
The only thing I disliked about this game was that I wish we had dlc.
no need for a dlc, the story wraps up fantastically. what we need is a sequel, based on the dragon homecoming ending.
Lord of Cinder yes. Dragon’s return ending leaves plenty of room for a sequel.
@@allvideos123 while i agree about the sequel thing, a dlc about tomoe would be pretty nice
The Shura ending also leaves the things prepared for a sequel.
The hirata estate story feels a lot like dlc
Mist Raven is the true butter, when there is no hope to dodge or deflect and you're cornered it will save the day. Only those who have endured the same trauma will understand
I just beat isshin and cannot agree more, when the attack will damage through parry, great flame Raven is amazing especially with the follow up skill
@@slicvic00 You could also use the umbrella in cases like that.

My NG +7 Charmless Bell Demon opinions
10: Divine Abduction - Can be used to get a quick buck for Sen Throw or some sugars
9: Finger Whistle - Useless if not malcontent, hard to justify the cost when a mortal draw will do way more to Demon of Hatred. Can still be useful to get heals and buffs in.
8: Loaded Spear - Useful for phase 2 Guardian Ape and Headless Ape, can be used with proper spacing to help deal with large groups of enemies
7: Loaded Umbrella - Really suffers with chip damage, still has slightly larger perfect parry window and can be used to avoid annoying grabs like Emma's
6: Sabimaru - Useful on sword vs. sword boss fights, especially following up from perilous jump counters.
Flame vent combined with living force is OP!
I platinumed this game and still watching videos on it
Same
Great fucking game. I'm sad I'm almost finished with my 1st playthrough
Haha same🤣

I dunno, mist Raven’s been a life saver throughout. That’s the beauty of From’s entries though - their tools are only as good as their master.
I just got done with a NG+4 playthrough to finish off my Platinum, and I don't think I ever used mist raven throughout any of my playthroughs. It's cool that the game still offers unique gameplay strategies even without so many different weapons like DS/Bloodborne
Kollin I’m on my last run through for the plat as well, and Mist Raven is always equipped for me, and genuinely saves my life against Sword Saint
Everyone talks about how the Firecrackers are the best,
and I can’t deny they are useful, but I think a majority of the positive outlook comes from the fact that they’re so easy to use, and use effectively. A lot of other prosthetics have more effective and powerful utilities, but take more planning and skill to use. Also, the amount of times I trade hits and die while using the firecrackers is more than I can count at this point.
Umbrella is truely the goat. I would have put firecrackers up at #2 and probably flamevent at 3 though
I did not expect that order. Nice to hear differing opinions. I expected:
Top, Flame Vent, Firecracker, Umbrella, Axe, Finger Whistle, Fan, Spear, Shuriken, Sabimaru, Mist Raven, Bottom
Mostly ranked by how much I use them but with Umbrella & Whistle being higher due to how strongly they counter bosses and Fan being higher for the increased drop rate of mercury. Maybe I should try to find a time Mist Raven is better than deflect/block.
The only time Mist Raven is technically the "best" option is when you're trying to do a Lightning Reversal-- you can use Mist Raven to avoid the damage and still reverse the lightning back at the boss/enemy.
The Mist Raven allowed me to obliterate Great Shinobi Owl.
lemme guess you cheesed him?
@@beaairey4096 Not really. I dodged behind his attacks and then used Chasing Slice to get free hits in. I still had to dodge/deflect his attacks so I wouldn't run out of Spirit Emblems.

You can totally wreck many of the mini bosses using the spiral spear only
firecrackers, shuriken and umbrella are my top 3 i have bearly used any other prosthetic on my way to the plat
Flame vent is #1 for me. Allows you to do multiple times more damage than anything else when combined with oil and living force. It is completely game changing
@@tomasdelcampo2 Loaded axe is great to break posture, you can also stagger lock some enemies with it.
My list:
10. Loaded Spear: good range for close combat, but slow, long wind-up, pitiful damage
09. Finger Whistle: Yeah good against a few enemies but all in all a terrible tool
08. Divine Abduction: Way to expensive, Only good against the mob enemies
07. Loaded Axe: Mini boss killer? yeah, against the slow and clunky ones, but costing all your spirit emblems and an extremely slow wind-up
06. Loaded Umbrella: Defense and all is nice, but as a skilled player it isn't that helpful. The attack is only strong after defending a few incoming attacks and the wind-up of the attack is extremely slow. Good for starters, but later not that necessary anymore
05. Sabimaru: My favorite tool. Played right you can unleash a barrage of attacks on the enemy without him being able to do anything. The hardest tool to master, but if you master it, it is one of the best. Expensive
04. Mist Raven: Allows to be extremely experimental with combat arts. That makes it really versatile. And it safed me more than once and can be used against EVERYTHING. Expensive, especially the flame version
03. Flame Vent: Extremely useful thanks to living weapon. Without it, the vent would be on the bottom of the list. Damage is low and the enemy only burns after multiple usages or throwing an oil urn at him
02. Loaded Shuriken: The most versatile and cheapest out of all the tools. No matter how much you hate it (or not) you will use it again and again
I only used axe for shield enemies, it takes so long to wind up the attack that i prefer striking a few times and going back to deflecting.
Oh yes another video from the amazing fextralife
Yeah i could confidently say that the umbrella was the most useful for me even while doing charmless + bell demon runs because it ignores stagger, has higher posture damage when parrying, good follow-up damage, a slightly higher parry window, can ignore both Terror and Burn status, blocks grabs, and mostly it only causes one emblem.
Most of the time i mix up my parries with my sword and umbrella especially to the end of enemies' combos like Geni's floating passage , Headless ape's wind up , Corrupted monk's 5 360 swing, Owl father's heavy slash and many more.
The loaded axe is always my main because of how much posture damage it does
It´s posture dmg is indeed good but it´s problem is the long wind up animation.
I was almost certain Cas was gonna put Firecrackers at the top.
Not that good
My god, my love for combat games with effort and passion behind them surpasses my current dilemmas and issues, fucking love this game
Great video, my top 3: Firecracker, Axe and Umbrella.

Gotta be honest, I find it kinda hard to experiment with some of these as often as I'd like. (Maybe it's cuz unlike Bloodborne there's no clear pattern like "gun wielding enemies = guaranteed bullet drops" or stuff like that)
Clear any previous area again .......u will get more spirit emblems than u need
Late game (and even mid game) there's nothing much left worth buying anyway so just farm some sen and buy as much emblems as you want. If you don't use any much emblems while farming, you'll also get a bunch stacked up after defeating them too. And that extra emblem drop skill in the monk tree is also pretty helpful.
Critically underrated the Sabimaru, in my opinion. No mention of the fact that it quickly sounds and poisons Okami warrior women - which is really useful later on.
Also, during phase 2 Isshin, you can poison him twice and get him down to half health.
>“If this tool costed less spirit emblems it’s be higher on the list”
>Saibimaru uses one spirit emblem.
Murda Vic I was just thinking that
Not really, since the full combo takes 3 spirits.
1 every 2 hits. 3 for the 6 hit combo.
You get it
Mist raven and umbrella can make both ishin(Ashina and sword saint) a breeze.
Lol
gg the spear and sabimaru are my favorites
Fun Fact: I beat Sekiro 3 times without using the Firecrackers once. I only used the Spear, which was and still is my favorite tool lol.
Umbrella is tool I never use on first run, but on 2-3 run I made me really easy to kill almost all boss and mini (almost)
It hard to use at first though, so I agree with you on this, but other order isn't really same
Pretty spot on
Mist Raven and loaded umbrella are so good because you don't need to learn boss patterns, the drawback is limited uses but umbrella costs a measly 1 emblem.
I find all of them useful, and I liked your rankings.
Sabimaru was good for extending combos, and building up health bar damage. Used it all the time in my playthroughs. Sabimaru til you get deflected, use normal attack evasive spin thing to avoid the counter and sabimaru their side. Wrecks most faster paced enemies.
Normal attack, evasive spin thing? What's that?

literally all the weapons in BB are good, it would be kinda dumb if even one of them was straight up bad. some of the prosthetic tools become pretty much useless on a no charm playthrough
I did not realize how versatile the umbrella was.... I'mma start using it now
I was today years old when I found out that the loaded finger can also be affective against the headless, I shall take this knowledge with me in my next run of Sekiro
Trust me on this one, you are dead wrong on the spear, try it again and try to be more creative with it instead of throwing it out when you are too close to the enemy.
why is mist raven high skill cap?
Also, I would put Sabimaru was the worst tool in the game.
Lol wtf? This Module is a Beast.

I go very well with it the combos are just sick with this lovely tool. Still my favorite. Its just the tool with the most skill to handle.

Just got the game! And I AXE everything!!!
Are you planning to make a vidoes for each weapon art just like for each prosthetic tool?=)
I used spiral spear like crazy on mini bosses.
the two i use the most are the lazulite shurikens and the umbrella, more often the ones that protect from fire and terror. the 3rd slot is changed often to another tool i might need, mostly the spear, the flame barrel, the axe and the sabimaru.
The Axe is my absolute favourite, it absolutely demolishes posture
Honestly, the whistle is probably my favorite
I got firecrackers and use it all the time.
amazing demonstration !
Loaded spear made some encounters super easy when ripping off armour.
Lmao i loved using puppeteer ninjutsu on the second snake eyes and watching him get hit by all those missiles
Is this still up to date or was something changed in a patch? I just got the game recently

Need another ranking for New game + with no Kuro's charm and Demon Bell. These will truly show which Prosthetic tools are actually effective. Otherwise this ranking only applies for New game and/or New game + with Kuro's charm and no Demon bell.
True umbrella is shit without kuros charm
Sabimaru makes snake eyes shirafuji and fountainhead palace a cake walk but let’s not talk about that
Umbrella is definitely top tier but if you play without the charm it becomes way less OP and can basically only be used for offense. I'd still put it above the flame vent though.
With charm the top 3 is probably firecrackers, umbrella, shuriken, without charm I'd say mist raven replaces it in that ranking
Sorry but the axe is the absolute GOAT. Idk what your on about it not being effective against bosses, I use it to completely cheese the last health bar of the majority of the bosses in the game including owl, isshin sword saint, and genichiro at ashina castle.
decent listing with awesome statements, gj
It's fine when you want to create space. But the flame isn't worth
Am I the only one that never found the firecracker prosthetic in my first playthrough? I feel like I had a rougher time cause I didn't know it existed lol.
