If EV owners are using the term 4 eyes then there is no saving them.
Just switched from a plug in hybrid to a full EV and it fits my needs perfectly. The battery is fully warrantied for another 7.5 years and I charge almost entirely from home. Was cheaper than equivalent pre reg Diesel, Petrol or Hybrid. It is fantastic to drive and so quiet. There is no irritating stop start at lights and likewise no annoying idle vibration. All of the issues being raised are false as by the time batteries start needing replacement there will be services repairing, exchanging them. EVs do only fit for people who can charge at home. The fire risk is an order of magnitude lower than that of a ICE car and very few people do frequent 100 plus mile per day. 100 miles per work day which almost any electric car except some very early ones will do is over 20000 a year. Add weekends. Not many drivers get close to that. Range is much less of an issue than many think. As I said before a lot of people run cars with 60-100 miles of fuel max at any one time.

I can say living in Pennsylvania with a large number of public chargers; the closest one to me is31 miles away. I admit I live in a rural part of Pennsylvania; however, charging here sucks. My homeowners, which is farm insurance has a clause if I charge an EV in one of my buildings and it burns my insurance is void. You are correct in saying EV's are not fit for purpose!

I recently went to Japan, I was expecting to see EVs everywhere, however there were very few, probably about as many as in the UK. I asked a Taxi driver why, one of the few who could understand my terrible attempt at japanese, he luckily could speak English, he said they are dangerous, they live in very tightly packed cities they are banned from parking that stack park, also he said Mr Toyoda said there is no future in EVs!! They are considered worse than Diesels in Japan, which speaks volumes.
Yes, Japan knows they are no use ! Just like they know that efficient high burn coal power electricity is better than nuclear…look at Japan and the nuclear power plant….its still leaking radiation into the ocean and it can’t be stopped…..anyone who says that nuclear power stations are a good idea needs to do the research !!! 🔬

This restriction has left many EV owners feeling frustrated and stranded, as they are effectively prevented from boarding the ships. It's a situation that has left them feeling utterly helpless and stuck.
That’s what happens if you get conned and buy an EV !!! They are NOT viable ….. they are dangerous and I would NEVER purchase one. Look at everyone in Government’s…they are all driving around in petrol guzzling cars ….NOT EV’S !!! It’s all a HUGE CON !

yeah the truth like, I've owned a Mini Cooper Electric for 4 years now,
and I am "gobsmacked" at how the MacMaster makes a kerfuffle out of every one of his journeys,
('ve done a few, London-Lands End-London round trips, in my Mini Cooper Electric "no problem"
and its basically got half of the range of the MacMasters Taycan,
I dont whinge about paying through the nose, to charge up on long journeys,
as 95% of my charges are FREE and the longest I can spend charging up, is just 35 mins,
as the Mini Cooper Electric only has 29 kWh batteries, compared to 71 kWh for the Taycan)
I like the way the MacMaster, drives past EV chargers @62p per kW,
to charge up at the 85p per kW ones, then complain how expensive it is, LOL,
I'm still waiting for the MacMaster to charge up, at one of the 2,500 FREE UK EV chargers too,
as that's equal to finding a small nugget of gold down the back of yer sofa,
(about 95% of the 25,000 miles I've done in my Mini Cooper Electric, have been done for FREE
I could charge up at home, but hey, why bother paying 28p per kW, when I can charge up for ZERO)
