A video such as this should be a the very beginning of the Wix website. It would have saved me endless hours of frustration and exasperation. I put together two websites and neither one was what I wanted. The editor IS NOT easy until you learn what you can and cannot do with it. My biggest issue is that you are limited to options only what Wix has available and what it THINKS you want. If your business is not among those options then you're in for a long haul.

Well, Greg you did it again. Well arranged short and sharp brief on the comparison. I was really undecided after gone through both system. Thank you very much ,Greg. You are really spot on. Cheers! Maid!
Hey Greg, let me first say thank you for all the great content! I had a couple of questions. I left them on older posts but wanted to try something newer and it's about affiliate marketing. I am building an affiliate marketing site based off of the video you did on Wix affiliate marketing. ou mentioned in one video to shoot for 1000 words but the example you gave in the video wasn't nearly that much. Also, I would love to see more training on the affiliate sites and dealing with google adsence and seo. Also, a lot of people that I've seen over the years give updates on their income. I really appreciate that you don't put that out there but from someone who is using your teaching and taking the time to put into this it would be nice to get a good idea if you are actually making good money using your own teachings and not just with the t-shirts. Sorry for the length of this but thank you once again for all the very honest and clear teaching.
Hey Matt, thanks for the comment and great questions! Sorry for not getting back to your other comments yet, I try my best to stay on top of them everyday. Yes, you are absolutely correct, I recommend at least 1000 words per article. You can get away with 600+ but as a rule of thumb, I never go below 1000 anymore (they simply rank better on Google). The example in the video was definitely short, and I would have added in subheadings if I were to write a full length post and publish it. A good way to do this if you need to lengthen your post is to think of what the next 3 questions someone would be having when reading your article, and then make then into the next 3 sections of the article. I'll absolutely keep note to create more affiliate content, seo and adsense included. In regards to income, you are right I stopped sharing it a while ago because people were focusing on the income and entering the business with a money chasing mindset (which was setting them up for disaster). Just so you know, my income from print on demand and affiliate marketing combined qualifies for the 99th percentile of US incomes :) I hope that sheds some light and helps a bit for now!
Very good information Greg, I have a question which premium package do I need to be able to add Adsense to my website? I am about to create my first wix website but I am not sure which package allows Adsense, I would really appreciate it if you reply, thanks.
Greg, you suggest to have a new domain name for each niche. What about having an overall all domain like “cool stuff” with the niche subjects under that like “cool camping tents”, “cool hiking Shoes”, etc. then blog under each subcategory??? One domain name to rule them all. Lol
Another great question Will! If you go with a general domain, Google will have a hard time deciding what to rank you for. By having a specific niche domain, Google knows what your website is about, and can easily decide what to rank your posts for. With that said, I've seen general domains done before but it will certainly be harder. A solution I would recommend if you are wanting to do a general domain is: start with a specific niche domain site that we know will work predictably, and then after that gets going, then try a general one to see if it catches. I hope that helps!

Hi Greg! Thanks for sharing helpful Wix tutorials here on RUclips 🙌 I'd just like to ask what may be the reason why the website appears to be blank sometimes? thatis a great video thanks, i have one question , you mentioned that wix can host a domain , does this affect the monthly payment for the paid plans ?
Another terrific video! Does Wix include SSL? Do they provide automatic backups in case a site goes down or gets hacked? With a Wordpress site you can move it to another host. With a Wix site are you forever locked into its platform and can never move it elsewhere?
Great video, thanks. When you say you build a free site and then "upgrade to a premium plan" does that mean another monthly charge for each new site, or can I just add that (previously) free site into my regular paid plan? Thanks...
Thanks man...great helpful info. One question I wanted to know...is it cheaper to get your custom domain name and connect it to your wix account? I'm asking because I thought that when you upgrade to a premium account you can get a custom domain name through WIX...would that not be the most efficient way to get a custom domain?
Thank you Greg. This is very helpful. if I start with the unlimited plan, can I switch later on to a business basic plan? And vice versa? Can I switch from business plan to an unlimited one?
Hey great question! Yes, you can switch between plans in the future. The plans are paid for for the year up front so I would recommend starting with the lower plan, and upgrading (paying the difference in price) down the road if you need to. I don't know if you get a refund when you switch to a lower plan. I hope that helps!
@@GregGottfried thanks for your prompt reply. So if I pay in advance for the year for the lower plan, can I switch easily mid year for a business basic plan? Thanks again.
Hi Greg, i am really enjoying the value of the content you are sharing. How would the rankings of an Australian website created on Wix perform in relation to SEO? Much Appreciated.
Excellent review. One question though, if I change a domain name can there be a CNAME placed in DNS to redirect web traffic going to the old domain name to the new name?
I'm a total newb at all of this, and I think I want to use Wix to build a website for my new tutoring business, using the unlimited plan you recommended. Does Wix get me a domain name, or do I need to get one from somebody else first, or does do I just always stay as a sub-domain under Wix, or what?
Hey Brian, great question. If you have any paid plan with WIX, you will get to use your own domain name (there will be no sub-domain, or advertising from WIX on your site). You'll be able to buy a domain through WIX directly (the fist year is free if you do this), or you can buy it through Google Domains and connect it to WIX. I personally use Google domains, because it allows me to be the owner of the domain and transfer it someone else if I ever needed to, but the choice is entirely up to you.
I love wix so much. I recently discovered that I can blog from my phone. I have been blogging everyday since then. The only thing that will make it better is if I can also edit my design on my mobile phone. Also, when embede my RUclips video, it looks good on desktop but wonky on mobile. I hope they will work on those two things.
Thanks for the comment! They are different things :) WIX is a website builder, and the affiliate program you are talking about sounds like it's just an affiliate program (not a website builder). WIX is not just for affiliate marketing :)
Good Video! Question.....What happens if someone signs up for premium, have it running for a few months, but wants to go back to the 'free' option. Is that possible? Or too late?
Thanks for the video ! Do you need to have a legit company to use Wix payment gateway or Stripe for your Wix online store to accept online payments ? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
Great question! Yes it is because it gives us a ton of time to work on the business and sets us up nicely to have offerings out there when everything starts to get back to normal. POD doesnt get affected nearly as bad as most businesses because the market is worldwide and the organic traffic to these sites is in the hundreds millions of visits per month.
Great video, thanks Greg! I've built my 1st ever website, using Wix, and I see the option to switch from ADI to Editor, but the warning that once I switch I can't go back to ADI. Would you recommend switching to the full Editor, or stay on ADI? FYI, I'm no web developer but I'm very competent and a quick learner, so I would say I'm well past the basics and know enough to be dangerous! ;P
Hey thanks for asking, that's a great question! I would 100% switch to the Editor. It's pretty much just as easy as the ADI to use, but you have more options if you want them. It doesn't mean you have to start getting really deep into customizations, but it allows you to change things very minor and very major if you wanted to. There is always a "undo" button, and you can even revert to the last published version of the site if you got into trouble changing something. I hope that helps!
Hi Greg. I haven’t looked at your videos yet. I’m building an archaeology index and want it to be sortable, by city or date or site category etc. I’ve been told the only spreadsheet that can be embedded and sort is Excel. Is that right?
In free wix website can we make as many qs website with one domain or more than one blog with one domain. In free wix website we can register to the google adsense??
Hello! I watched your wix videos and tutorials and learned many. Thanks so much Greg. I just have a problem. When I click a blog post which is very low of the page, then I click back in browser, Wix doesn't remember the old page scroll position. It oddly goes up the page automatically when you click back in browser. Why :( How do i fix it?
Hey Greg! I must say I love your channel and the value you provide. I'm trying to get into POD business after watching your videos but for some reason I'm not able to get into merch by Amazon program I've tried with 4 different emails but I've been rejected every single time. Please guide me what should I do. And by the way I've followed each and every instruction you gave on your video on how to get accepted. Please reply
Thanks for making this video Greg. Here's today's silly question: If I buy a premium website and domain name from Wix, but 12 months later decide to change the domain host to GoDaddy or someone else, can Wix hold me to ransom in any respect and cause something to happen that results in me losing that website, and all of its contents? Anything appropriate anything you can mention is highly appreciated. Cheers.

Thanks...
Excellent question! It will add a new plan to your billing. Essentially, it's about $15/mo per site. I hope that helps clarify!
I'm looking for the see more or expand feature on Wix and have not been able to find it. Do you have resources?
Great video thanks!!
Glad you like it! Thank you for watching 😊
Hi Greg, i am really enjoying the value of the content you are sharing. How would the rankings of an Australian website created on Wix perform in relation to SEO? Much Appreciated.
great video!
Thank you, I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Nice video
Thanks!
@@GregGottfried Thank you for taking the time to respond, and for the info!
As always, when the video tells you the product is “very easy to use” don’t believe it, especially if yo are a beginner.
No worries Phil, here's a beginner tutorial for you: ruclips.net/video/RAFu_452pME/видео.html
Thank you for the great advice. What are the differences between Wix and Wealthy Affiliate? Which one is better?
Thanks for the comment! They are different things :) WIX is a website builder, and the affiliate program you are talking about sounds like it's just an affiliate program (not a website builder). WIX is not just for affiliate marketing :)
Can you still use the SEO included with the free website builders
Awesome. Stay safe! Thx.
Thanks Rick! I hope you and your family stay healthy and safe!
How can I connect my backend to my wix site? How can I access the code on wix to do that?
hi, I have a question. What do you recommend for design a website: WordPress or Wix? thanks
Watch The video...
so what if i want a extremely fast site???? for selling products and facilitating the page scrolling???? thanks
Hey greg can you please tell about Google hosting
I have domain and server purchased from Godaddy with a 3-year plan, so is it possille use it in Wix for launching
Greetings Greg,
I want to pose a question. Considering the Coronavirus Pandemic, os this still a good time to launch my T shirt business??
Great question! Yes it is because it gives us a ton of time to work on the business and sets us up nicely to have offerings out there when everything starts to get back to normal. POD doesnt get affected nearly as bad as most businesses because the market is worldwide and the organic traffic to these sites is in the hundreds millions of visits per month.

Wow,
A sigh of relief!!!!!
Thank You ,
Will proceed!!
I am going to use wordpress for my you tube i let you know how i am doing next week project
I really want to get into affiliate marketing. What do you feel about click funnels? Do you ever use them, instead of building websites?
Can I build a website on wix and host it elsewhere. What is the procedure for doing that.
Cheers.
