A very thoughtful hobby recap. While there were some things that fell short, you've achieved a lot, especially around your channel. Well done! Much success to 2025 and here's hoping you reach that 1000 subscriber milestone soon! Happy New Year, Bjorn!
There are no ‘fails’. It’s a hobby. For fun! Happy New Year. My big project for 24 was building and painting a sci fi city for Legions Imperialis (8mm scale ‘epic’ 30k). My big project for 25 will be building and painting two armies to fight over the city!
I really enjoyed the way you present these videos. A very thoughtful and interesting approach. For myself, I was able to get a few miniatures painted for my own collection, not for commissions only. I also purchased some 10mm Napoleonics, and hope I can get motivated to paint them. Unfortunately I didn't get to play any miniatures tabletop games, but did play some pc games. I hope you are well. I look forward to your future videos. All the best, John.
Thx. I imagine it would be difficult to paint myself after all the conission painting. That's really elan. Glad I'm not the only one having problems with the playing of games. Keep my fingers crossed for us in this year. ✊
Thoughtful recap on the year. As long as you enjoyed what you were doing at the time you were occupied with it, then it was time well spent. I have started the year with a clear out of stalled projects and decided to limit myself to only two projects…I hope😂 Whilst I appreciate you may be a little frustrated on some aspects of the hobby, you’re probably being little hard on yourself. Perhaps you might try painting something you simply like the look of rather than as part of a specific project or army. Best wishes to you for 2025.
@@theenigmaticgamer Thx. Two projects is a good number. I was there too, but now back to four. One of them is already playable. Maybe it sounded worse than it is. I'm more self-reflective now. Mindfulness. Cheers to a successful 2025 for all of us. 🍻
@@aaronjones2117 I really liked it and will continue to use it. There will probably be something else on this channel too. 2FL got me interested in their games with General d'Armee.
Great recap, I have really enjoyed the content you have presented over the years. Keep going!!. From my side, I have managed to re-base my Austrians and French armies (after decades them being in a dark cupboard) success there although I have realised I'm woefully short of figures with this new basing system(great excuse to buy more troops,) not so successful, I have to rebuild my terrain which has disappeared of the years, and am struggling to get motivated. But have to as I am wanting to do a "what If" scenario of the year 1809 Danube campaign. failure I have not been able to come up with a system to create a "fog of war " and an order system dictated by dice rolls (as playing solo). Any and all suggestions are welcome. Looking forward to more videos, Alles gute fur 2025!!
@@stuartsimpson3696 Thx. Rebasing is always straining. After a lot of work, you end up with exactly the same thing as before, just arranged differently. But sometimes it has to be done. I will think about your solo "problem". I usually only change perspective or use some randomizing mechanics.
Great update always enjoyable to hear how you doing and were you are at your hobby desk keep up the great work look forward to more
@@darrinstanaway8943 Thx for your kind words. 🙏
great recap :), i think even if youve made failures you defintely learn alot, especially for campaigns
@@wgeffoxdo9719 Thx. The German poet Goethe wrote: Man makes mistakes as long as he strives. Wise words. 🙏

@@davidwasilewski 😄 Legio Imperialis? My son started this one, too. (Beside other things.) Would be great to reenact the Heresy. Good Painting!
