Mitaji, As a beginner I recently purchased a single branch jade plant (small one with tiny leaves) from nursery and removed all the sticky soil, cleaned and repotted it into an oval shaped ceramic pot placed near a bright lit corner of north west facing window, which already had three dwarf snake plants(bird's nest)in it. Planted Jade in the same pot as there was blank space .
This pot contains coco-peat, organic homemade compost, cow-dung, vermicompost mix.
Didn't have sand available with me at that time..it is a week into repotting of jade n I learn from your video that sand is a vital part for jade plant. Now that I have sand with me, can I put it on the surface of the top layer of this pot??
Kindly guide me, as emptying/repotting this fairly big ceramic pot may disturb the bird's nest snake plant ..am confused.
I love my cute little jade plant very much ...
Pls guide me, as to whether I can add sand into this already existing potting mix??

Jade is such a Hardy plant but I've not been able to grow it . It always dies on me. This last one was shedding leaves so I repotted with some broken terracotta mixed in the soil. Can't go out to get sand etc becoz of Lockdown !

Hi Roshan the only solution is do not to over water and when you are trying to develop from stem cutting do not water for 10 to 15 days and then rooting will start and you can water 👍

Hi Surma. Keep it in a cool dry place probably under a tree or big plant. Hope it is not over watering or no standing water. Next time you water add little bit of Fungicide(Bevestin or Saaf)
