This was taped on Georges Tour bus. I was in country radio for 10 yrs. He stopped by on what they call a radio tour. He is a great guy and makes a ton of cash writing songs.
can't believe I never knew about this video before. Thanks for uploading, I was a little kid when this song came out, and it's been one of my favorite songs ever since
Watch the other guitar player. E, A, F#m, D & Dm are the chords used. It's in the key of A. The Dm is used at the end of the verses and between "Lipstick promises" and "Was I easy to deceive" in the chorus. It's a quick F#m, Dm, A in there.
love this song always...and this is actually a great version. wish it was a bit fuller sounding sonically...but the guitars and voices are tremendous. i don't know where George's career went...but if this is recent he sure looks great. looks like he hasn't lost a step and the voice is still there. i ca it sounded like the original version...just with less instruments and without the sonics. the original sounded so full-bodied. considering this was in some dude's house...it sounds pretty good.
sorry...that posted before i finished editing. the "i ca" wasn't supposed to be there. i was cutting out a comment about the tuning. i couldn't tell if he drop-tuned the song or not but it sounded the same to me...less the great sound quality of the original.
Every single word you said Every drop dead shade of red Were just lipstick promises Was I easy to deceive? You were so easy to believe I fell for your EVERY kiss And your lipstick promises :)
What a guy! I would never deceive you George! Believe me, I would adore you! This is my favorite country song, well, top ten! Can't forget Garth.
One of my favorite songs. It's great to see that George Ducas is still at it, and better than ever if this performance is any indication.
My absolute favorite George Ducas song!!!

Good song
NICE!!!!!
Yes it's a half step down from the original but it still sounds great.

George -- did you tune down half a step? I was trying to use this version to learn your song, but my guitar is way off!
Is it "every kiss" or "weary kiss"? Leary makes more sense. My ears just can't pick it up. I adore this song.
Every single word you said
Every drop dead shade of red
Were just lipstick promises
Was I easy to deceive?
You were so easy to believe
I fell for your EVERY kiss
And your lipstick promises
:)
Did the lead playing mess up at 2:43
@jorsotts
Yup!
Sounds a half step down
