Idk why people think this, considering that the people who fall for this kind of thing are mostly under 13 kids, who shouldn't even be on social media. They would probably give out their full name and home address if asked. What is discord going to do about it? It's not their priority to teach people who shouldn't even be on their app, how to avoid getting hacked/scammed. It's pretty much common sense imo. Especially the QR code and website scams. Its down the user to protect their own account, discord literally have a warning when you scan a QR code, they have multiple 2fa methods, they added that to change your email, you have to verify your current email. Even if they did a PSA, most people would just ignore it.

This is the first one of these scams I've seen in a server I'm in firsthand. It was actually one of the links you showed in the video. I didn't click on it and hopefully no one else did, but it's good to be aware of these kinds of things.
Something similar actually has been happening in Hypixel Skyblock. People get messaged saying theyve been put on a scammer list in a discord server and a link to the server is included in the message. The “person” says that they can be removed from the scammer list if they join the discord and verify to prove that they didnt actually scam someone. When people join the server they are asked to verify by clicking on a button which brings up a link which brings up a microsoft login page. Its a fake page, and people still put in their information, willingly handing it over to people only for their account to be stolen
One of my possibly favourite hobbies to to write alot of bogus account passwords and accounts that will absolutely waste the scammers time. To basically delay for those who may have fallen prey to them.
@@VaultCord Most systems will escape special characters, so for instance if you wanted a comma in a CSV you would escape the comma with for example a backslash `\` or some other character and then unescape them whilst reading the file so you can have the text "Hello, this is a single cell" in a single cell even though it has a comma. Any time i buy discord nitro i just cancel the auto renew and delete my billing details, and im not clicking or scanning any random stuff, so im safe.
Yeah, I remember an account go hacked and spammed a NSFW scam server in one server I was in. Everyone in the server was angry about the spammed server, so I don’t think anyone fell for it (I definitely didn’t)
I got a message on Xbox about one of these servers but for gaming, I was tired of them so out of curiosity I joined it and there was a verify like this. I thought it was suspicious but I was curious to see where it went and after I left the server. I go offline for a bit then I come back online, see I’m in some Fortnite account black market server or something. I leave that, go into my authorised apps and delete the thing I verified with. I change my password and enable 2FA.
I think I’m safe but I’m not sure, I’m kind of scared.
Don't they also prefer Discord to steal your World of Warships, War Thunder, etc. accounts also?
I charged back on my discord account when I was hacked, and it took me WEEKS in order to get my account back. So yeah, use bank charge backs as a last resort.
my discord got hacked on a different way, and the hacker put in 2 months of discord nitro from gift, and now i have my account back and 2 free months of nitro lol
people who fall for these scams shouldnt be on discord
facts

print("hello, world")
System.out.Println("hello, world")
That's so funny the user sent the server invite and I just ignored it
please make a video on how to revert the new discord ui. Thanks. - Kind Regards, me.
