That’s where they bring in all the oil for our refineries in Houston. It also took out that railway looks like all that oil spill is not good and this is the second bridge. What’s going on?
Thank you , Mel for airing this , Truly becoming like a monthly / weekly issue ! Our ports being hit , plus a few days ago there was a protest at The port of Houston where they wouldnt let people in or out ....People going nutz !!!!
More likely is that this happens more often than we think but the news didn't think it was interesting enough until we had the bridge fall recently and it got a lot of viewers so now they think people want to see when things hit bridges. Now people are going to think all of sudden bridges are getting hit out of nowhere even if in reality fewer bridges are being hit than normal.
It seems these people driving these things are either NOT getting the right schooling as in past like so many other things and people are being given jobs they are unqualified for! It's getting a bit sus!
They’ll use any excuse to raise prices.. even if it doesn’t actually affect the supply. Gas is $5.50 where I live right now and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s higher tomorrow for no logical reason.
Yeah I thought that too tbh. Unless the engines went and didn't have time to drop anchor. Saying that not sure if a barge would have a proper anchor. We have a river cruiser which does have an anchor as it's also a sea boat.
No , it happened this morning, plus it's a bridge to the island , only way to get on & off the island . Plus alot of Oil pouring out for like 7 hours , This is becoming a monthly/ weekly thing , getting very concerning.
@Jennifermcintyre What's even more concerning about this morning's incident after speaking with my cousin in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She told me there is a level 4 biolab right there in that area in Galveston, Texas. I'm in Montgomery County, Texas, and all these years had no idea , we have a level4 biolab right there, I Googled it, and yeap, she was right . Extremely concerning!!!! Stay safe .. Mrs josette
That’s Texas…barge hits bridge?? Stand on the bridge to assess damage 🤣 ain’t skeered of nothin down here 🤣🤣
Damn it's daylight and they can't see something as big as a bridge ?😂😂
It's not a matter of sight.

@jtharp9265
😂😂 jfc, no it's not.
That's not just a barge... that is an oil barge!!!
That’s where they bring all the crude oil into the refineries in Houston. They better contain that oil that’s not good.
Gas prices just went up to $48.99/gallon.
They won't be affected. That barge is a drop in the bucket.
@@NickKautza drop in a bucket that we will have to pay for?
@@Tawana_X Nope, the oil company.
Thanks for the up dates. Have a blessed day everyone.
Oil reserves already low..this certainly did not help😮
All that oil is terrible
No way another one?! 😮
Took the rail out. Infrastructure slow roll...
Another reason for gas prices to hike
Not from 1 barge. That's nothing
Hello Mel! Is that I45??? Saludos from Brandon, Florida!
Ah sh!t here we go again
Think about it the oil you see on top of the water is only a small percentage compared to what’s under the water
🫣😵💫
Another “accident” huh?? 🙄🥴
Yep
@jennifermcintyre
Yeah, because boats, ships, planes, trains, automobiles & semis never malfunction or crash.
🤷🏻♀️🤦🏼♀️
Traffic was already bad going into Galveston. Now it will be so much worse.
Looks like it's leaking oil in the water
@ickedmel 26 barges break loose on flooded Ohio River, destroy Pittsburgh marina April 24th
Cue the conspiracy theorist's...
Was about to ask if that is oil
I starting to believe this is intentional, as it keeps happening.

@@NickKautz Thanks oil expert
@@Mr.CrAnKy Had nothing to do with oil, didn't even mention it.
This is pelican bridge which is closer to the ferry

First bridge hit was a maintenance issue, not the pilots fault. This is probably something similar.
Sorry but are they East I Dian cause we know they shit drivers. Oh I’m not sorry.
Another reason to raise gas prices as if we don't pay to much already
Takes a lot more than a barge to effect gas prices.
They’ll use any excuse to raise prices.. even if it doesn’t actually affect the supply. Gas is $5.50 where I live right now and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s higher tomorrow for no logical reason.
Where did they think they were going?
Clearly something happened out of the pilots control.
What is going on with this crap??
No telling what that is
another red state
Oops. Again??
What's the deal with boats and bridges??? Trying to down our infrastructure? 🫣🫣
That's the plan!!
No.
That’s it

@JackieNoey-zl7nh
Ok, Chicken Little ...
Someone has a depth perception problem if they thought they coukd pass under. Must jave lost power & drifted
Again!
I’m wondering if the bridge was supposed to lift but somehow malfunctioned??
Who was the driver?
How the heck?

Took the gah damn railroad out bye golly the sam hell is going on these days?
Noooooo
Hi Everyone
R those disused rail tracks next to the bridge
It's definitely rail... Who knows if abandoned tho
@@dawnkladerman598 let's hope they are disused, otherwise there will be some angry people who can't get home due to the track being gone
didnt that happen two or three weeks ago?
That was Baltimore

They’ve had several “near misses” lately too.. large barges just somehow getting out of control. It seems too coincidental!
Frances Scott Key bridge was probably about 3 weeks ago.

How the hell do ya hit a big ass bridge with a damn barge during the daytime🤓
How in the hell did that barge get into that position.....what a shit show
Looks like it took out RR tracks 😖
Do they just hire anyone to drive these things? Can't they see the damned bridge way before they hit it??? STUPID
This is some thing planned people ain't no accident
It's not an accident
What!
Doesn’t look like any damage to me bridge
I think they said a part of the bridge fell on the barge

Another bridge got hit? 🤔 Hmmm
Is another diversity hire situation???
No Greg Abbot was driving.
The first two min are amateur hour. Thumbs down, onto another vid.
