    As someone who has been trying to sculpt for years and getting frustrated with perfectionism or wishing to jump ahead to details and texture- you make this look and sound so easy Nick...

    • @ModulusProps
      @ModulusProps  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! I definitely find myself jumping ahead too soon sometimes, but I've been learning to just let the sculpt exist in that "ugly" in-between stage before I really start dialing in the details.

    • @ModulusProps

      Thank you! The clay warming box is just a plain old storage box I found on Amazon. The model is no longer available but you can probably find something similar. I just layered the inside with insulation foam and mounted a light bulb socket in the back with a dimmer switch to control the heat.

    Better make a molding and painting video of this piece. Nice sculpt. You can use baby powder and a brush and that will help with the tackiness the clay has.

    When starting out with the mask could you not use foil or another material to build out the structure to save the monster clay and take away some weight?

      @Remayre 4 месяца назад

      @@ModulusProps I’m back again! I made my first mask however I didn’t build away from my form like you did, so it’s definitely a tight fit. I came back to ask how you achieved the mold with your mask being away from the form at the cheeks and ears and then I saw this comment. Do you have any video or pictures of how you did the two part mold on this type of creation? I’m having a really hard time visualizing how it would be done. Front and back or side and side? Thank you c:

    • @ModulusProps
      @ModulusProps  3 месяца назад

      @@Remayre I'll eventually have a video about the process. It's basically just a mold of the front and then a mold of the back. The dividing line is along the outside edge of the mask. You need to build a temporary clay wall around the edge when making the first half.
