You can always build a Hackintosh, but would it ever be as aesthetically pleasing as this?
Apple will drop support for Intel CPUs soon, so Hackintosh will disappear.

@@gullible119if every Mac is Apple silicon and the last Intel model is no longer being supported then MacOS will drop support for Intel processors. It will take a few more years but one day hackintoshes will be no more.

iMac G3 specs. Editor missed that one.
I like that the first iMac was almost like Steve Jobs coming back to finish what he started with the Macintosh. I consider todays iMacs to be direct dependents of that first 1984 Macintosh.
I finally got one in 2017, and its still going strong... however, I don't think I'll be able to reuse its display when I upgrade, and just seems kinda... wasteful, so... my next mac will probably be a future Mac Studio or Mac mini (I hope they continue updating both...), along with a sick monitor... perhaps even one from Apple.
That said... there's a special place in my heart for the iMac... I feel like I might be strongly tempted to get another one someday lol.
I miss the old channel with the longer videos. Those were always so interesting.

I have an iMac G4, and it still can do some activities, go inside the internet and browse. Its so cool that this machine works.
I sadly don't have an iMac G4 in my collection as of yet. I have an iMac G3 and iMac G5 are all of my PowerPC based macs I currently have

Pity the Pro lineup was abandoned, I thought and hoped it would make a return with Apple silicon, maybe featuring processors like the Mx Max and even Ultra.
One small mistake, the original iMac G5 didn’t have a Mighty Mouse. Just the one button mouse.

As much as I love apple I can't excuse the fact that it hasn't had a major redesign since 2007... we need slim bezels in todays age
I mean, it looks a hell of a lot different than it did in 2007. And I have to disagree on the bezels, anything without bezels loses all personality and design. How could they make a better looking iMac if all they have is the display and nothing around it? It’s all the design around the display that makes it beautiful.
It's all opinion but the bezels are a bit too thick in my opinion. A slimmer design is more appealing to my eye and I have seen a lot of others online that feel the same way. @@hunterjay8331

Dang, the M1 iMac has a typo in the memory. It says 32MB instead of 16GB and the storage says 4GB instead of 2TB

Hate to be that guy, but you have a few things missing or wrong or which require a clarification/qualification in this video:
* The originals iMac G3 Bondi Blue was the first color Mac so long as we exclude the black Macintosh TV from 1993 or the black Performa 5420 (released only outside the U.S.).
* Apple release several new models of iMac G3’s in 2001 that you skipped over. The Sage and Ruby iMac was replaced with the “Blue Dalmatian” and “Flower Power Macs” in 2001, and were the first macs to include pattern designs on their shell rather then just solid colors. They also added Firewire for the first time to the iMac line in 2001. Only six months later in July, 2001 they discontinued all of the four color options in favor of two conservative color choices, Graphite and Indigo.
* The original iMac’s much maligned round “Hockey Puck” USB mouse, which was used up till June 2000, was replaced in all iMacs from July 2000 on with the Apple Pro Mouse, a return to the oval/rectangle form and which featured a clear plastic shell. The iMac G4 flat screen lamp iMac inherited the Pro Mouse.
* All 2000/2001 iMacs also got an upgraded keyboard called the Apple Pro Keyboard that was a return to a larger full sized standard keyboard as apposed the original 1998 iMac G3’s (also used in the 1999 iMacs) compact keyboard.
* There where several DV models of iMac G3 released in 1999/2000 that upgraded the digital video capabilities such as including a DVD-ROM drive or DVD/CD-R Combo drive and a better graphics card/GPU.
* The iMac G5 iSight came with a small Apple Remote Control used to control the then new “Front Row” media player software, that allowed playing DVD movies, iTunes music and video, and image slide-shows using the remote for control. The first Intel iMacs also came with the same remote control and Front Row software.
* Just for clarification, the prices you list are only for entry level models of iMacs and their were in each case higher spaced models also available for each model at higher prices. For example, the original 17” iMac G5 was also available in a 1.8Ghz version for $1499.
* As others have pointed out already, the specs you listed for the 2021 iMac’s memory, storage, and weight are from the iMac G3.
