- Long awaited, but it is finally here! I have NON STOP been playing this game for hours and hours, from the original story mode, to playing Kaycee's mod over and over. This game and the story behind it is so intriguing, but I honestly wanted to focus on the internal struggles between the Scrybes, and how it's all doomed to repeat over and over... as long as you keep playing.
It's such and interesting take on a video game and a story, and I hope I captured it well enough!

I really thought Leshy would say "sacrifices must be made" after saying "To be a great beast" as a reference to the original inscryption
I like how leshy's part sounds more threatening and serious while P03's sounds more cold and creepy

@@NicoTheCinderace that too, but still, BEAR TRAPS, HAHAHA, anyways, I also noticed the almost, techno, flash game melody in the background of Leshy and P0-3, stops at Magnificus's part and leaves only the clock like metronome before the same metronome continues into Grimora's part, get it, cuz P-03 probably has a system clock, Leshy owns a clock, magnificus's card form is placed in a clock and Grimora represents death, a clock running down so to speak.

Ah so glad to know Inscryption is still alive. The pony island 2 trailer has brought some life back into it.

I find it so funny that you used the ouroboros metaphor, as in this one creature is always present.
I think the four lords in the inscription game are simbols of the four pillars of game design, history for the forest guy, rules for the robot, Art for the painter/mage and lore for the bones lady.
Leshy, P03, Magnificus and Grimora, but yeah, it really does fit a lot with each, even their inscription methods fit. Leshy, making copies of the HISTORY of creatures with his camera, P-03 copying the motherboards, the RULES of his robots with his particle scanner, magnificus PAINTING and making ART of his pupils, and Grimora inscribing the epiphets, the LORE of the dead,
@@Pieper. And that is why they can't kill each other, narrative generates rules and lore as a byproduct, and art is the medium used to send the narrative to the audience.
I actually got the switch for Leshy and Grimora. Leshy's game is big on story, but he doesn't really explain how cards came to be, the bosses' backstories, or even the reason you came to play cards with a creepy old man until the very end. He is lore, story.
Grimora meanwhile, while not having much of a game to herself, is all about the histories of her Ghouls. You must determine history by properly telling what killed her Ghouls, checking around her crypt for clues, like a historian. And writing epitaphs, is like writing the history of the now deceased.

I love the Ouroboros/jörmungandr reference at the end. Saying that this game would repeat over and over until it was torn to bone.
Saying that the player would try and take everything they could, to check everything, digging deep for file to file to find *anything* interesting in this game.
Or that or I’m going into an endless rabbit hole of thinking.

i love the line “Whats hidden beneath the floorboards and sea? Is secrecy now unfolding?”
mainly because it connects to/references that 27341(?) code hidden on the normal/depth textures of the floorboards, and the semi-connected game of Beneath the Surface (which connects to the Hex arg too!!!) :D
The sea is also connected the arg in which Barry Reginald Wilkinson was stowing away on a boat with the copy of inscyption (the trader in act 3 mentions that he was shot and killed after being discovered)
@@Zach-804 equally so the bone lord in act 2 alludes to the ocean (I believe??) AND when the floor in act 3 is deleted the ocean is underneath :)

This song is so eerie and ominous, perfectly capturing how I first felt playing the game! I do hope there’s a chance it appears on iTunes so I can vibe to it for hours!

I really love how well the instrumentals and lyrics blur together, feels like they were made *for* each other instead of one being made to bow to the other
Also think it's clever that Leshy and P03 were given more screentime here

leshy talking a lot and referencing what happend in game
while p03 talks a little and straight forward
also how little sounds in music changes, like ij po3 part its more "electronic"

This is so real
This song has been constantly gnawing at me since i first heard it, ive listened to it nearly a dozen times today.
-i really like the chanting/repetitive nature of the vocal & instrumental, it captures the endless cycle of inscryption's corruption (also it reminds me of act 1's music, specifically the trapper/trader boss fight with the low humming)
- "I've dug up your bones, I'll trade them for teeth" I don't know why but this line is MMMMMMMMMM tasty
- yoo and P03's section having the echo in the higher octave like the whirring of electrical equipment 👀👀👀👀

I do notice that during the Leshy part he says "The Rules" while PO-3's are stated as "My Rules" showing that Leshy plays a game for the sake of the game, while PO-3's attention is on upholding the rules and power over the game

Ooh Inscryption is such a cool game, and has so many layers! I’m super glad you did a song on it! There were so many little references to mechanics of the game in this song, but the reference to the scales and Ouroboros were definitely my favorite. I really liked the art for the Scrybes, but Leshy and Grimora in particular for some reason, I don’t know , they’ve always been my favorite soo. Thanks you so much for the song!
I interpret that “one against four” isn’t referring to the player against the scribes, it’s referring to Grimora against everyone else, as she tries to essentially kill all of them.
Or PO3 against everyone else
this could not have come at a better time! i've been on inscryption brainrot for the last few weeks and i've even started trying to reverse-engineer at least kaycee's mod... yeah anyway this song is great (i love the reference to ouroboros that fits so well actually) and i love magnificus' appearance here lol he's such a goober (and he looks like the bone lord kinda?👀)
I kinda made Magnificus in a more "ram/deer" like entity, it felt fitting!

Inscryption is one of my favourite horror games and one of my favourite deckbuilding games too so I was really excited when I saw this song in my notifications. It also completly caught me off guard since there was a drop-off of frequency after evidentlyfresh hurt their voice a little while back and I assumed that the next song was going to be along the lines of their most recent works but this is much better than I could have imagined I especially love how if it's played on loop it connects perfectly. definitely one of my favourite Inscryption songs right up there with sacrifices must be made (Dan Bull).

I like how every other scribe looks like some monster and grimora is the only one who looks mostly human, instead of leshy looking like a person who has an extreme fungal infection

Inscryption is a great game and this is a great song! (Even though The Hex is my favorite Daniel Mullins game, I like it more than Inscryption even though it's shorter.) Tell me, did the fact that Pony Island 2 was announced inspire you to make this song or was it a coincidence?
And an off-topic question, why don't you publish many instrumental versions of your songs? Don't get me wrong, I like your voice and singing, but in general I like listening more to music without words, so the option to listen only to the melody would be nice
lol this song has been in the works for months at this point... but the sudden inspiration did come from me playing Kaycees mod and the new game announcement! as for the instrumentals... it's just a bit of extra work for not much attention on the videos, so I skip it sometimes. I do plan to upload the instrumentals to Spotify one day though, when I have the motivation!

Amazing song! Very cool with the "the snake itself eats until it's reduced to bare bones", just like how when Inscryption was finally deleted it was stripped of everything but the OLD_DATA which cannot be removed, literally the hallowed bones of the game.
(But seriously one could gush for paragraphs about all the references you managed to fit into this, that floorboards and sea line was gold)

This song is so utterly hypnotic, almost like how the people who look too far into the Karnoffel Code seem to become almost entranced and unable to stop themselves from reaching the point of no return before they realize what they've done.

Okay,was the static effect always here?...like,few days ago i watched it and all of it were normal images and now theyre moving like old tv transmision and PO3 looks more destroyed than remembered..
For every level you beat, each boss battle defeat, with each achievement your view, becomes a bit more complete, and with each twist that unfolds and every mystery you solve, we find a new way to see, this Ball on which we revolve, these games have secrets inside, and as a team we can find them, you've a blank page and a clear horizon, so why not do a bit of theorizing!
I have finished Inscryption almost a month ago. I think it perfectly represents the game and the Scrybes. But I dont like how Leshy says the game is played fair I think my Ouroboros says otherwise.
I meant it as a delusional kind of lyric, obviously the situation itself isn't even fair in the first place lol

Nice work both visually and auditory. Though one thing I don't like is how grimora is drawn she looks too skinny. In both the 2D face sprite and 3d model of the games she seems to have a more rounded face. other then that great work!
