@@shadowflamelightburst4503 Pretty sure it's strictly less than 6. You can always turn on the analytics mode to see what bonuses are being applied to each die when it rolls.
The wording in the game is very literal.if it says less than 6 you need at most 5 die. If it talks about a numeric face, only faces with an explicit number or pips will work (I've yet to test lottery die though)
I played this game today after I saw your previous vid. It is really fun! I've 40 gotten trillion. My solution is to try to stack as many multipliers on top of each other as possible. Many passive effects give multipliers for every dice roll. I gained my biggest scores with the 'previous role time X die' (it has an arrow on it). If you put that on a die with many multiple face multipliers and add lots of passive multiplier effect you can gain insane scores! I also really enjoy adding rerolls to important dice. But for that to be usefull, you have to add a lot of bonusses on one die.
I really love the top 3 passive mixed with passives that only work when you have less than 6 total dice, and this setup you have can more or less be made at less than 6 dice
I got 101 on the leaderboard with the Top 3 passive and the Wild Adjacency passive early on. The other thing I had that was missing from your build was the face that multiplies the previous roll of its die (I forget what it's called but it looks like a white arrow in a black circle with a multiplier next to it, you can see one at 36:57). Those really break the game with exponential growth
I think the issue I have with games like Luck Be A Landlord and Roll is that they seem that 10 years ago they'd be released as a free flash game. While they're better developed and have updates which is where they are worth the value, as a standard premise I feel like these games aren't groundbreaking
Groundbreaking isn't necessary to have a fun or successful game. Lots of successful games are basically identical to last years version. * cough cough Madden F1 CoD cough * Erhm... And plenty of fun games are just good implementations of tried and true ideas.
God i can't wait until he learns more of this game. Side note i don't think it's the most efficient to have a bunch of die that are only good 1/6 of the time. Better to have less dice that are useful half or more of the time. Least that's my experience
when all his good rolls have weights on it its clearly favouring having many dices with few good faces. But its tough. also as an example lets say he has a dice full of 99's and then 9 extra dice full of ones. if you could only change 9 faces to even a 2 pip face it is still always better to put it on different dice, as the first change increases its average the most kind of. its weird and id say dont fuss too much, the game having stuff like sticky and reroll and weight makes it tough to put to peak efficiency without being as boring as molasses
A good build you should try is do 5 buy any dice (only get the ones from shop upgrade so 5 total allowing you to make use of less than 6 dice passives), get every as many die faces to 10 as possible (stacks with multiple of 2 passives, multiple of 5 passives, no 99 passives, and less than 13 passives on top of this yahtzees are amazing), and also ignoring single face multipliers which allows you to get the passive that multiply the value of all numbers by x amount but makes non number die useless. Also you should get the reroll upgrades that add 3 rerolls to a die of your choice which then allows that die to roll 3 times for the cost of 1 roll. Also if you do try this build don't get weights because this allows you to get the no weight passive as well. You likely won't be able to get everything but this is essentially a God run. Just when you get 10 on a die early get leave that face alone and make the other faces as big as possible until you start getting some passives rolling then get the upgrade that makes every face of a die the same and those big number become the 10 that is the piggest number that works with the ×2, ×5, and >13 passives
if you place an "add multiplier" on another "add multiplier", the multipliers will add together normally. if you use any multiplier on a "face multiplier" normally, a "face multiplier" will not stack with any other multiplier. with the item you purchased, if you place an "add multiplier" on a "face multiplier", they stack. or if you place any other type of multiplier on top of a current "face multiplier", they will also stack.
the "attached multiplier stack" does something similar, "face multipliers" now take into consideration the x10 from your 99x10 face, where before a "face multiplier" will only consider the 99 value, and after it will consider the 99*10 value
Got a 16 digit score today with 5 dice. Ended on 15th place. Strategy is face multipliers and reroll multipliers in the middle die and numbers on the one to the left or right. You want the numbers to be
You know what, it’s a good game, but it has no sense of urgency, no difficulty really. If there were something like the rent in LBaL, it would add this need to move at a certain pace in order to not lose, which would make the game more interesting in my opinion.
If you place multiplier (x10) on a numeric dice(99), it will not be affected by face multipliers (▣x10). it will be like 990+990. BUT If you place multiplier (x10) on a face multiplier (▣x10), it will be x100 out of best die (99) equals 9900. I really want Tyler to read this.
I instantly bought the game after your first video! It’s seriously addicting and amazing that a dev combined the best of deck building and “cookie clicker” style games. I managed to get around 1.2M in my first run and broke 100B in the second by abusing dice adders, a stack of passive multipliers, and the perk that allows all single face multipliers to apply to dice # multipliers. I think it needs some rebalancing though… seems that only a few strategies are viable, especially since the shop scales up in cost so darn fast!
Go in the options and turn on "Analitics". When that's on, after a roll, you put your cursor on a die to see all the meanings behing what it did. Helps understand certain concepts.
I’m pretty sure the like multiplier stack thing literally was “all multipliers now stack up to x99” like it not longer takes the highest multiplier it takes them all at once, so that 990 could get a like x5
Enjoying your videos. impressive games. I even ended up buying some of them on steam to play myself, and I'm now considering this one. Just a heads up though, "Dice" is the plural. You have either one "die" or many "dice". Hope to see you get another Personal Best
Just so you know, shop prices are based on total earnings. Because of this, you want to go for the big multipliers as early as possible. From what I've seen, don't even bother buying anything from the level 1 shop and refresh the store as much as possible. Also, safe up for a few refreshes before buying anything that makes you score snowball so shop prices stay low.
Bruh The ×2 and the ×3 die are the same type of multiplier. They are both the type that multiplies your total roll. The part where you were trying to figure out where to put the ×3 was tearing me apart
I can confirm that yes, the top scores all hit the integer limit, or rather the long limit.longs are stored in 4 bytes, or 32 bits, which gives them the ability to represent numbers between -2,147,483,648 and 2,147,483,647. Looking familiar? I assume that they did some trickery, storing only the first 7 digits and tacking on zeroes to the end, giving them the ability to store numbers technically too large to fit into a long. what i don't understand though is why they limited themselves to only 8 digits in the rear?! With that trick, they could increase the displayed value by over 700 million orders of magnitude. If I'm missing something totally obvious here, please let me know
I got this game after your first video. My first game i got ~5.2mil. Havent had time to play it since. But i did find some of the item descriptions confusing, so i ended up wasting a few purchases.
Im only at 7:15, so idk if you do this later. But in my playing i found the 6 side reroll×2 to be very very good. Just excessive rerolls to be good, as the dice get rolled 1-3 extra times, and all of thise rerolls get added to the current roll. Example, i had a die with 5 99s and 1 die breeder, ×2reroll on every face, and ×4 or ×5 on every 99, and then on all 4 adjacent sides i had dice with weighted faces for rerolling adjacent dice.
Try the dice breeder adder, its hilarious. It spawns dice that spawn more dice, and it stacks with rerollers. By the end, I had several hundred dice. I had to grind the shop for it, however.
My understanding is that having a single face multiplier multiply a face with a multiplier already on it isn't useless. A single face multiplier ignores the multiplier on the face it applies to, but it also puts the value it gets on the die with the single face multiplier, meaning the multiplier will still apply to the face with the big number and its effects would not be negated by the single face multiplier. For example, if you had a 99 with a X10 multiplier that would be worth 990. If you had a 99 without a multiplier but also had a different face with a X10 single face multiplier, that would be worth 99 from the face + 990 from the single face multiplier. A X10 single face multiplier and a face worth 99 with a X10 multiplier would be worth 990+990. This was badly worded, but the important thing is that having a multiplier on your big number and a different single face multiplier is still good.
I was happy that my first round of roll was better than Tyler's first, and now my best is 300 mil.... Now he's shooting for 1 bil. It was good while it lasted Edit: lol just got 9 bil as a high score, and am at 274 on the leaderboards
So I was confused in the difference between 13:15 's result and 13:25 's result. So you start at 28 and then it goes to 1,441 so removing the previous amount gets us 1,413. The only way this number is achievable with the current rolls, 10, 17(just changed from 15), 99×10, and a x4, is if you take the numerics and add the smallest first and then take the multipliers and add them together and then multiply them with the 99 So 10+17=27 1413-27=1,386 X10+X4=X14 99 x 14 =1,386 Next it goes from 1,441 to 4,136 4,136-1,441= 2,695 To get 2,695 you have the 5 rolls of 99x10, x10, x2, x5, 18(just changed from 17), and 5. If you assume the same order as last time then you have 18+5=23 2,695-23=2,672 X10 +X2 +X5 +X10=X27 99 x27 = 2,673 1 more than it should but if we take into account the change of 18 from 17 and go down by one then its 22 for the total value of the lower faces and therefore 2,673. What I don't get is why this version applies the before incrementation number instead of the after like the previous situation. Now this makes sense if you do it another way where you separate 99x10, and 5 as their own things and consider the next highest number 17(changing to 18) as the one that will be multiplied but before it can increment. Like this. 17x2 x5 x10 =1,700 2,695-1,700=995 995=990+5 990=99x10 The fact that it resolves it self if you used a separate calculation order so as to make sense of the mis-application of the rules, is extremely worrying so much so that I begin to wonder if the results are just in and of themselves a arbitrary roll of the dice. Instead of a consistent set of rules that are followed the same way to a T no matter the situation as simple math and therefore computational logic should be.
Something you should try is to get the biggest single roll score possible. So you play through all of your rolls and spend all your points how you choose, then whatever you get on your last roll is your score
Glue on the lottery and/or 4 leaf clover would have been a good strat. EDIT: If you went for the +800% to the lottery stuff too, that would have been crazy powerful of a strat.

I’m so sad, I got a great run and my game crashed at 250 rolls left with me having gained 250 billion in one roll ;-;

13:45 brooo, that is one of the few things your niche content provides. we dont need to only see the insane runs, i like seeing you clue out the math and make strategies for the next time and stuff.
Just curious, is there a wiki or anywhere to check how mechanics work? I've been struggling to fully grasp how some of the combos/synergies work and it's really hard to find information online because of the title of the game.
Yeah I see a lot of if you have less than 6 dice abilities and wonder if they truly mean less than 6 or less than/equal to 6
@@shadowflamelightburst4503 Pretty sure it's strictly less than 6.
Not that I’ve been able to find. I don’t even think there is a subreddit
@@shirothefish9688 lottery is not a numeric, only faces 1-99 are considered “numeric” I’m working on clearing these up though!
I think that is the optimal strategy, my 5 dice runs are always my best
@@grantdixon36 I had a great run that crashed and lost all progress that would’ve landed me top 20 at least
Those really break the game with exponential growth
i just finished watching your other one and thought "hopefully he has more than one episode"
same I want more than 5 :P
I think the issue I have with games like Luck Be A Landlord and Roll is that they seem that 10 years ago they'd be released as a free flash game. While they're better developed and have updates which is where they are worth the value, as a standard premise I feel like these games aren't groundbreaking
Groundbreaking isn't necessary to have a fun or successful game. Lots of successful games are basically identical to last years version. * cough cough Madden F1 CoD cough * Erhm... And plenty of fun games are just good implementations of tried and true ideas.
this game is actually so much more in depth and interesting than i expected
That's my experience top 100 run with only 9 die.
a 40 minute video is just what i needed right now🤝
Me: Please realize that duplicating wild is just worse than duping your main dice
Tyler: Duplicates wild
Me: *mild frustration*
Downloaded this game yesterday because of your videos - managed to place 98th on the leaderboard today :)
That person who got 5 trillion points and gets 1 billion: *failed run*
lol
I mean, when you have gotten 5 trillion a billion really is not much, either literally or logarithmically like how we expect stuff to be.
Dev of this game i love the simplicity and addictivness of this good job ik you are here man.
You might say he’s

6:05 "it's still really good when you hit the nuts like that" - Aliensrock 2021
if you place an "add multiplier" on another "add multiplier", the multipliers will add together normally. if you use any multiplier on a "face multiplier" normally, a "face multiplier" will not stack with any other multiplier. with the item you purchased, if you place an "add multiplier" on a "face multiplier", they stack. or if you place any other type of multiplier on top of a current "face multiplier", they will also stack.
the "attached multiplier stack" does something similar, "face multipliers" now take into consideration the x10 from your 99x10 face, where before a "face multiplier" will only consider the 99 value, and after it will consider the 99*10 value
Hard agree, though I also don't mind setting hard goals for myself and making that the challenge for the time being. Trillion point run anyone?
@@Aliensrock Trillion seems like you would need some really good rng, but if you want to do it I’ll gladly watch it!
@@Aliensrock There was a person who got a 5 trillion point run a few months back, so it's definitely possible.
@@Aliensrock someone did a 7 trillion run
one of the selling points of this game is a relaxing experience and adding a goal you are required to reach isn’t very relaxing to most.
That's only if you have the passive (which he bought this run)
Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
I am constantly working on balance! Please leave any balance suggestions in the game forums on Steam so I can better know what needs buffed/nerfed!
Go in the options and turn on "Analitics". When that's on, after a roll, you put your cursor on a die to see all the meanings behing what it did. Helps understand certain concepts.
I love the longer vids and I love this game!!!!
I’m pretty sure the like multiplier stack thing literally was “all multipliers now stack up to x99” like it not longer takes the highest multiplier it takes them all at once, so that 990 could get a like x5
When u only understand about 50% of whats going on and still enjoy the video, u know the youtuber is god tier

Would love to see more of this game
these are really fun to watch
Enjoying your videos. impressive games. I even ended up buying some of them on steam to play myself, and I'm now considering this one.
Just a heads up though, "Dice" is the plural. You have either one "die" or many "dice".
Hope to see you get another Personal Best
Your last video on this game made me reinstall steam just to buy it, love this game
I am so happy you decided to play this game again ^.^ I was bummed when you said it might be a one and done.
I'm not judging because it Was confusing as hell but it hurt when he misunderstood the combine multiplier upgrade
Bruh
The ×2 and the ×3 die are the same type of multiplier. They are both the type that multiplies your total roll.
The part where you were trying to figure out where to put the ×3 was tearing me apart
I can't wait to see what they will add in future updates!
Dang! This is absolutely a blessed run.
Thank you I love your videos especially the roll videos i loved the first 1
Aliensrock has made me fall in love with random indie games.
When I say multiplier what I mean is face multiplier
Love watching the misunderstandings of rules in this tho
I feel like an adjacency reroller with lottery combo could be an interesting combo. Add some clovers and glue and it could be highly lucrative
I was happy that my first round of roll was better than Tyler's first, and now my best is 300 mil....
Now he's shooting for 1 bil.
It was good while it lasted
Edit: lol just got 9 bil as a high score, and am at 274 on the leaderboards
I love these kind of videos can you do more?(please?)
Make another one soon! I LOVE THIS! :) also do you know when you would do more baba is you
YESSS! I WAS HOPING FOR THIS GAME AGAIN!
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER ONE
Thats a huge improvement^^
So I was confused in the difference between 13:15 's result and 13:25 's result.
So you start at 28 and then it goes to 1,441 so removing the previous amount gets us 1,413.
The only way this number is achievable with the current rolls, 10, 17(just changed from 15), 99×10, and a x4, is if you take the numerics and add the smallest first and then take the multipliers and add them together and then multiply them with the 99
So 10+17=27 1413-27=1,386
X10+X4=X14 99 x 14 =1,386
Next it goes from 1,441 to 4,136
4,136-1,441= 2,695
To get 2,695 you have the 5 rolls of 99x10, x10, x2, x5, 18(just changed from 17), and 5. If you assume the same order as last time then you have
18+5=23 2,695-23=2,672
X10 +X2 +X5 +X10=X27
99 x27 = 2,673 1 more than it should but if we take into account the change of 18 from 17 and go down by one then its 22 for the total value of the lower faces and therefore 2,673.
What I don't get is why this version applies the before incrementation number instead of the after like the previous situation. Now this makes sense if you do it another way where you separate 99x10, and 5 as their own things and consider the next highest number 17(changing to 18) as the one that will be multiplied but before it can increment. Like this.
17x2 x5 x10 =1,700
2,695-1,700=995
995=990+5 990=99x10
The fact that it resolves it self if you used a separate calculation order so as to make sense of the mis-application of the rules, is extremely worrying so much so that I begin to wonder if the results are just in and of themselves a arbitrary roll of the dice. Instead of a consistent set of rules that are followed the same way to a T no matter the situation as simple math and therefore computational logic should be.
Something you should try is to get the biggest single roll score possible. So you play through all of your rolls and spend all your points how you choose, then whatever you get on your last roll is your score
“That’s insane and really cheap” says Tyler on the most expensive shop item
Glue on the lottery and/or 4 leaf clover would have been a good strat.
EDIT: If you went for the +800% to the lottery stuff too, that would have been crazy powerful of a strat.
i hope you put out some more of this game, it's pretty interesting. kinda seems an ideal game for mods.
I wish you had weighted / put the x10 multiplier on some of the face multipliers. I definitely think that's the way to go.

Every time you reroll the shop, everything becomes more expensive.
Let’s go, I love this game

Looks like shop prices are based off of your current income, and those only reset after refreshing the shop. It might be beneficial to get the cheapest prices for the most upgrades if you fully buy out a shop.
But hey, that was 2 million in the blink of an google phone.
*hm yes, perfect*

39:19 that's me in 60th place!!!
I think the clover dice must be on the same dice as the lottery it is affecting. I never noticed the lottery odds going up.
Very good
I used to play Cookie Clicker and then felt bad for wasting my time... this is very relaxing to play and quite fun too.
just roll with it, tyler.
Let's go u made another one!!
There is a setting that lets you see the math behind each die and how much it’s worth
Edit: ignore this comment, aliensrock figured it out ^^
You can turn on analytic mode in the settings, when hovering over for example a multiplier it will show you which number is being multiplied for example 71 x 4
there should be a speedrun category for certain score milestones. maybe there is. im lazy to check
