Like #97! Love the video and this banter that's going on in the community. Awesome stuff has always Rick.Don't let other people influence your channel in the wrong way. I love your channel name. Great to see those pickups one more time
Gave a video like. Love your channel name. Perfect for majority of what you show and collect. I find the term endearing and a perfect one word description of your collecting style. A society that can’t speak in generalities is chaos. Awesome pick-ups! Love that Mays!
Hi Rick. Love your channel name, and now know the reason behind it, which makes it even better. Awesome cards my friend. Both the Paterson Cobb and American Caramel Cobb, are beauties. I will be looking forward to seeing your next video with your auction house cards you won. Talk soon my friend.
Awesome cards Rick they are all beautiful! I look at the terms oddball and junkwax as terms of endearment. You have oddball in your title because you love them. Too many times, people think one opinion is more important than another's opinion because it's theirs. They are all opinions, and they can all be wrong, or they can all be right!
Whatever it is you call them, they are all incredible. That Mays is so beautiful. I don’t remember hearing that you call them oddball because of your dad but that makes it even better. Always a pleasure to see your collection. Take care
There have always been Oddball cards, I don't see the problem. That Mays looks GREAT, I still need one for my 1953 set. Maybe I can find one AU or a little worse that I can afford one day.
Rick, Great showcase of cards as always, especially that Cobb WM Paterson. And I can relate to oddball...something a little out of the ordinary, maybe not often seen. That's what I think of when I see your cards.
Never heard or seen that Canadian Cobb. That is the ultimate oddball card. You should be proud that you introduced and named a category we now all use for rare unusual cards . Thanks Rick
Beautiful Cobb Rick. We’re collecting baseball cards here I’ll continue to use oddball as that’s what we’ve always called them. Let’s not take ourselves and our collections too seriously here. They’re baseball cards!
These Canadian issue cards don’t come up for auction very often. A seller on eBay sold 10+ WM Paterson cards all with similar hole punches. Talking with the seller, he had no info on why the holes. Pretty sure it was not for some kind of redemption. Usually, you would have a single hole punch for redemption like the honey boy cards
Your such an Oddball Rick 😂😂😂😂. Man how did I not know you picked up that 53’ willie 🫡🤯. So many epic cards and love hearing why you named your channel ❤❤ 🤙🤙
It was a joke, people like yourself are why I am dumping all my cards in the trash and moving on. Good news is some of those cards are rare, so now those still lefted will be even more rare.
@@MrJmangini Ouch is right! Love Parker one of my favorites and one day he will be there John, but until then you may want to stop bullying Rick. He hits below the belt 🤣🤣🤣
Mangini and Orlando are just being silly acting like the cards have feelings. I don't see how Oddball is in any way negative as it simply denotes that it is out of the mainstream. Congrats on that Cobb! I had watchlisted that card in the Heritage auction. I didn't have the money saved up to go after it following my Ruth purchase, but I did notice it was the best looking copy of that card possibly ever sold online, comparing it to the images on VCP. You saved thousands over the fools who insist on number grades and you got a much better looking card. I think the only one that even compares is a PSA 8 that sold for almost 10k way back in 2012. Amazing pickup!
Calling a card vintage oddball to me says it's old, rare & likely a good value. If cards had feelings they'd feel proud being called a vintage oddball card.
Rick, these guys are getting ridiculous….I totally get what your talking about. What’s Mangini and Orlando smoking! Why are they taking the term “oddball” so literally. Lol, I know they’re busting chops a little but I think they’re missing the point. Basically you obviously are defining it differently than they are…maybe telling everyone that “oddball “ for you is simply a term given to any card(s) that are not pack distributed!
Tell Mangini to call the dogs off! #leaveRickAlone! Great Cobb cards Rick, man is your collection amazing!
@@ClementeCollector Yes! I couldn’t agree more.
