The thing I love so much about Death is that the lyrics are very nuanced and thoughtful filled with compelling stories and deeply thought out philosophical questions all while being very heavy lyrics . Lots of metal bands have the tendency to just make the most brutal lyrics about death and decay and write some cool riffs that go with it. But Chuck’s Death totally perfected the sound a heavy metal band needs .
I LOVE the intro !!! When the Bass kicks in ... utterly epic track !!! A DAMN FINE LYRICIST and song writer, just incredilbe ... one of those forward thinkers, every generation has them, tapped into the steams of higher musical realising. Sent to move us forward as a civilisaiton. His music will be as fresh as it was in the 90s, today and in another 100 years time. Death ARE timeless ... Chuck Shuldiner : Taken but NEVER forgotten.
Totally agree. Thoughtful and unique rhythm piece, 2 solos back to back, and an absolutely amazing rollercoaster feel when transitioning from lick to lick. Definitely in my top 5 favorite solos.
This so ridiculously great! Trapped in a corner is my favorite song on this album. Even with the line up changes Chuck had his shit locked in and Death is the best band hands down. I can't say enough how his music affected my life. By far the best album of all time. I can listen to it over and over and still hear something that I haven't heard before. Death, and the band members attributed it's energy to this album and to this day is still in my opinion the best of the best. It's sad that Chuck had to pass, but my lord this guy put out the best shit for years, and again and the totally in my opinion DEATH is the most influential and satisfyineg band forever!!
Live in Eindhoven was shot on one of the first concerts in that tour, hence why Shannon Hamm was still fresh on the solo. Just watch the Live in L.A. version (which was recorded later) and you'll see him pull it off with ease.
Of course. I think in Death Metal there are Chuck and others. We can only wait when figure like Chuck will come for next time. I'm not engilsh speaker. So sorry for mistakes.
Death metal by which all other death metal should be judged. Melody meets mayhem, and lyrics with intellect that aren't like they weren't written by an 8 year old boy.
I would like to know what insurance company refused to pay for his medical bills. The doctors wouldn't do anything unless they paid what he owed. They are garbage
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy Any of them. According to an interview, Andy did not tour with Death because he wanted to take a break and raise his children (check out ruclips.net/video/It0u0KATIGs/видео.html). I also checked out the show for the date you mentioned, and it is indeed Ralph Santolla.
I don't mean this comment to me too high and lofty for the fundamental minds : its notable that Jesus Christ chose to check outta this realm in just about the same amount of days as Mr Chuck here. The brightest stars such as Chuck leave all too soon. The star that burns brightest leaves exponentially fast. The trade off between burning bright and a slow burn is up for debate I guess.

Andy's solo
He does an excellent job doing Andy's solo; down right brilliant considering Andy's tallent.
@@brianporter138 It's stupid to compare a studio solo with a live one and they both have their own techniques and improvisations.
