  • Gathering information as to the whereabouts or any other details of abandoned mines and abandoned places is the first step towards discovering these treasures. The second step is getting there. This video takes a slightly different approach towards chronicling the fun and failures that come with exploring abandoned places and exploring abandoned mines. As you will see, not every adventure leads to a rewarding find. More often than not, exploration results in "well, now we know," experiences, checking off locations from a bucket list, noting insignificance or inaccessibility. In most cases, information available for historic locations is often over 50 years old, and a lot can change during that timeframe! You gotta roll the dice, get out there, and explore to truly find out!
Joining us in this adventure is ‪@ZiaMountainAdventures‬ and ‪@ExtremeFieldTripEntertainment‬ who will share this experience on their respective channels with their own unique perspective.
This abandoned mine exploring video is shot and presented in 4K and HDR. I recommend for your viewing experience to watch this video with a TV, monitor, or mobile device with a 4K/HDR compatible display. It really does make a difference!

Still a great video and worth watching one more time. The motocross footage in the drift is still pretty awesome!

Eventually I'd like to get a core drill underground at that mine to see how much more ore can be blocked out. The expansion chamber at 11:10 would make an incredible underground shop, especially if an overhead crane could be squeezed in.

The largest accessible mine in New Mexico with massive stopes showing sing of galena zinc etc.
Being the massive mine that you say it is just would have loved to see the mine without that speed up video if it's all possible. Maybe more drift areas. I enjoyed all your previous videos.

Thank you very much for giving me some context. The reason the sections are time-lapsed is because there are four other videos that I made of this place in greater detail of the workings. I try not to regurgitate content too much. Please check out the other videos titled "Exploring New Mexico's Largest Abandoned Mine" if you are inclined to do so!

I appreciate your honesty. Really. Could you expand on what was disappointing? As the adage goes, "Mistakes are your greatest teacher." What could I have done better? Let me know. Thanks!
